I was only half ay through the last thread, trying to catch up on what happened. I got up to the Lisa Rinna memes (which I thought were funny even if the person they were directed at seemed a little in the dark), I went off to have dinner, came back and it was gone. That will teach me for getting hungry.

That’s the part I don’t understand @CailinAlainn - how does a person get anything out of this constant negativity? AE seems to thrive on any kind of attention and drama, with little thought to the toxic impact it is having on her daughters.

Plus she says she's having therapy. I know therapy isn't a quick fix but surely her therapist would be advising against this behaviour and these unhealthy crutches. Of course she might be and AE is ignoring it at which point the therapist would be hard pushed to make progress with her because she's not heeding his or her advice.

I have been going further back on her Instagram- they did look happy, like a tight family unit, especially when they were on their travels. It must be so hard to go from that to where she is now. A figure of fun, desperately seeking attention and validation, looks so different to now, her world is so small now, filled with darkness. Her eldest child has been looking increasingly withdrawn and I started to think she was just a quiet child, but she looks like a happy smiley child in earlier Instagram posts, the guarded face is recent. IG has an uphill struggle in front of him - to repair the kids to being back to normal children without the weight of the world on their shoulders plus dealing with a woman who will not let go easily, and trying to get work in the middle of the shitstorm. He also has a relatively new relationship to deal with too, with a woman from a different generation with her own ambitions (career/kids of her own?) plus her own health issues. Hopefully IG has the same positive mindset as his new love. I think I would be exhausted at the thought of the mountain to climb.

Yup. It's sad all 'round. And good heavens... the financial concerns they ALL have ahead of them is terrifying!

Can I just ask a little question about ‘highly intelligent’ Alice. Is it her 2:1 degree in French/Italian a few decades ago that earned her this accolade or is it because it was in languages and Brits, generally speaking, are usually a bit crap at acquiring second languages?
I’m quite stumped every time I see her described as ‘highly intelligent’ she’s done nothing except talk bollox on Twitter for decades, she can’t even mop the floor. What am I missing?

I think you can be highly intelligent and stupid at same time. I sound Iike Alice saying this but my husband is one of those. IQ off the charts, 22 years of uni and specialist education. But not one iota of common sense. Maybe Alice is like that.

I had to go and Google these beach pics, and whilst I always thought Ioan was good looking he was just a bit too weedy for me.
However breaking up with Alice obviously is working for him as he has bulked up and is looking really good. Was like hubba hubba looking at the pics lol

I understand what you mean! I did say earlier that I feel it’s her redemption in a way for being horrible - her having to live with herself the way she is. But whilst it’s sad, she jeeps hurting people and wouldn't allow anybody to help her..

Isn’t that scary not having work. I would be in a state of anxiety with that kind of work.

I mean, I dont know. Maybe it changed since then. Or he took the beach pics to rub it into Alice's face how happy he is without her around.

People used to know his plans months in advance because Alice was telling Lin&Deb about it, and then they were teasing for months before they were officially allowed to say what exactly he is doing etc.

Though I suspect Alice will still know over her lawyers when he has to go again. Just she probably wont know the exact project like all mortals, which I know royally pisses them off. Deb sounded so annoyed about this when Alice said that he is off to France and no one knew for what project

Blimey, a lot of the posts on the previous thread have been removed so understanding what happened last night is quite difficult. Thank you for those who gave a recap! Just a question: did AE come here? If so, did she come with anger or did she try arguing her point like a normal person?

i’ve seen a couple of posts here saying they’ve stayed quiet regarding the whole mess because they don’t think anybody is coming out smelling of roses. From my perspective, as long as somebody is happy to have a discussion in a civilised, respectful manner with a view to hear the other side of the argument, I’m happy to hear their take.

I went to bed and missed everything. .

I’m answer to your question.
I’m also of the belief that IG is not lily white in this, I’ve mentioned it several times since thread one. Some posters have disagreed , some have agreed.
However the difference is, my opinion is not the only opinion and I don’t repeatedly force it down people’s throats and argue with everyone dominating the thread.
I’m also hopeful I will be proved wrong, for the children’s sake.

I’m on your side here. I don’t think she’s that intelligent at all. I know plenty of people with 2:1 degrees and I wouldn’t necessarily call them intelligent. Heck, I’ve friends without degrees who are much more intelligent than those with.
