my sister has never been a big drinker and kinda just drank for the sake of it growing up so just doesnāt drink anymore purely for that.. she just doesnāt like it.
Itās exactly the same for Spencer. Not liking alcohol so not drinking is VERY different to being āsoberā for 4 years.
She would NEVER refer to herself as āsoberā ffs & if anyone asks why she doesnāt drink she just says she doesnāt like it.. and no one fuckin cares. Itās just not a thing for her??? She doesnāt like it or want to do it so it never even comes up in conversation (unless weāre out haha)

Iām not being funny but for a lot of people your teens and 20s are filled with alcohol, drugs and partying.. then as you get to your late 20s / 30s you stop as your priorities change. Itās not āgetting soberā itās just growing up for duck sake.

Itās so annoying how he is making āgoing soberā a thing when there are so many people who went out drinking in their 20s and donāt after they become a parent or their lifestyle changes. Heās never had a problem with it, he just went out with mates and imogen didnāt like that. Thereās no worry of him āfalling off the wagonā or going on any sort of bender. I can imagine the breakdown Imogen would have if he had so much as a glass of wine with dinner. Saying heās gone sober takes away from people who genuinely are doing a great thing after going through something. He thinks this will be his thing for new year new me content.
