Unfortunately he’s not around to ask anymore. I wish I had listened a bit more to all his army stories but it was a bit reminiscent of Uncle Albert’s ‘during the war’ Looking back I’m surprised I wasn’t more curious at the time

Omg that’s horrible I’m so so sorry to read that I Hope your doing ok I know how much that can effect a woman let alone a 12 year old child I really hope you got the support you needed and may continue to need that is heartbreaking lots of love to you

He was a police officer at one stage too!

I think it's next Monday night that programme starts. I shall be watching. I've read/watched a good bit about him (and many other serial killers!) too.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. I'd love to be young again where you can just brush off gruesome facts and go about your day

Not murder but my sister’s ex-partner’s son just escaped a jail sentence for possession of child pornography. He went home to watch it while his girlfriend was in labour. His girlfriend found the porn on his computer and immediately called the police.

I knew him when he was a little boy. I thought he was very sweet and funny. They grew up in a very strict religion- won’t say which but it’s practically a cult in some respects. It wouldn’t surprise me if that had a bearing. His elder sister was also sexually assaulted by her grandfather, who is also part of the same religion/cult. Pattern?

Ummmm was it the door knockers? Because I feel like this is a very familiar story that I know involving this religion??

I heard from her brother, that his sister, who Was a friend from way mine way back when, had died but also told me that she had killed 3 men! She was a druggie and always off her face, the reason I stopped being friends with her. Thanks to me her lovely young daughter was put in care because of the way she treated her. She’s abt 40 now And I found her through Facebook she was really pleased to talk to me because there was so many gaps that she wanted to fill-in she then told me that I had probably saved her life

As a teenager I was friends with the older brothers of this murderer. Can remember him being odd even when he was about 10...

When I was about 17 me and my partner rented a room in a house. There was a guy there the same age as me. He was always arguing with the other tenants. He stole a ring off a guy that was going to propose, none of us got along with him. We moved out shortly after. Fast forward a few years I'm reading the paper and he is in it. He was drinking one night and got into a fight with a Portuguese man, who had literally got into the country that day. It wasn't even really a fight he just beat him up for no reason down an alley. He unfortunately died from the hits. He wasn't found out straight away. It wasn't until his mates went to the police. Apparently he'd messaged a few of them asking for help to get rid of the body, one of them he asked to bring a can a petrol.

This isn't about murder but I knew a guy that went to prison for rape. He didn't rape his girlfriend at the time, he picked her up and she went out with him with nothing on except a dressing gown. Turns out he wouldn't give her any more money for her coke habit and she cried rape. Poor guy he served the whole 4 years. We went to his trial and even the judge didn't seem convinced

I went to high school with a murderer. This happened in Canada where I grew up. This guy also happened to live around the corner from me. He was so bleeping weird. Always used to stare at girls so intently, myself included. Anyways, a few years after I moved to the UK, I saw on fb at the time that this local woman was missing. She hadn’t been heard from for weeks. Then her torso was discovered in a local park, in the deep bushes. Her head was then found at a separate location near a highway a few days later. Her legs and arms were never found.
Then I saw the address named and I knew it was that creep I was at school with. They found his hockey bag with her blood all through it.
He was found guilty of her murder and dismemberment and sentenced to life in jail.
Turns out the poor woman was kind to him on an occasion and he became obsessed with her and followed her home one night after work at hairdressers and killed her. I have his picture in all my yearbooks.

Not a murder, but someone I was friends with in secondary school went on to become a teacher and a few years ago it appeared in the local paper that they’d slept with* one of their teenage students. This person was always a rebel at school, always being controversial and pushing boundaries and breaking rules, so it didn’t really surprise me.

Me again I was speaking to my mum about if we know anyone else whows killed some one its turns out. 2 different family friends have brothers / sons who have killed some one
2nd one this guy attacked his ex girlfriend and her mum in bed whilst they slept he killed them both
Then the 3rd one was a guy who was already serving time killed his cell mate one night
I do believe it was cause he was having a bad day and wanted some attention
