Middle class 20 something friends (quite a few years ago) He murdered his live-in girlfriend when he found out she was having an affair - the man she was having the affair with committed suicide - murderer went to prison and took his own life in there.
You would never have believed in a million years he would have done anything like this. Very sad.

This sounds absolutely tragic.
It's absolutely resonated with me, how you could never expect anything like this to happen in your circle, then so many lives ruined.
Thanks for sharing 💜

Met a woman convicted of murdering her husband in my old line of work. Stabbed him in the heart, they both went upstairs, had sex, he stayed in bed where he died shortly afterwards and she went downstairs to clean it all up. She denied it and even appealed her sentence, I remember speaking to her in custody and she said “when will I be able to go home I’ve got to pick my daughters uniform up” 😳 it was quite high profile in the area I lived in.

A fella I used to work with was stabbed to death by his girlfriends ex husband.

Not a murder but my sister knew (she can’t bring herself to admit they were friends) one of the disgusting women who offered up her baby boy to Ian Watkins. She’s now jailed and I hope her son never finds out.

Yeah, I think she got quite a hefty sentence, around 17 years. She deserved more if you ask me - I made mistake of reading in-depth about her involvement in it all and the key should have been thrown away, set on fire and plunged into the sea.

I do know what happened to the baby but because the names are out there, I'd feel uncomfortable sharing (not aimed at you at all, just for anyone with more nefarious intentions who might see this).

I went to school with a guy who murdered a heavily pregnant girl and her little dog about 10yrs ago now. It was national news for a long time. It happened across the road from where my grandmother lived. He was convicted for child destruction as the baby was perfectly formed, named and was nearly due to be born till he murdered them. One of the most evil things I've ever heard in my life.

When I was a child I lived a few doors up from a large family of boys. All nice lads, we used to hang out & play games etc. The oldest son turned out to be a murderer when he grew up. He strangled his girlfriend. Shocked was not the word when I found out.

I once lived in a street where a man was in a relationship with a woman. He started an affair with her sister and then the girlfriend ended up murdered. We believe the sister helped murder her own sister.

I knew a boy who plotted revenge on his lovers ex on millennium eve... they drove around to the street to 'get him', to a house opposite where my auntie lives...and petrol bombed what they thought was his house. It was the wrong house and they nearly killed an innocent man sleeping in his bed. Will never forget my aunties neighbour pounding on our door, in the middle of our party to tell her!

Worst of all I used to work closely with a man in a large industrial company. He was very creepy and always made inappropriate comments. Being young I used to laugh it off. He always used to offer all the girls a lift home after nights out drinking. I always refused... Turns out I was right to refuse as a few years later he was arrested for kidnapping and raping a woman in his works van. He fully intended to kill her it transpired. He had a fully fledged murder kit in his van.

I was also once good friends with a lad who I drifted apart from when he went off the rails on alcohol and drugs. Over the years he committed a number of violent crimes, but the worst was where he beat his girlfriend so badly in a tent in the middle of a field, he nearly killed her. Her injuries were like a car crash victims. She was on life support for weeks. That one didn't surprise me as I felt he had the evil in him.

I went to college with a guy who was a bit of a mums boy, bit weird but seemed harmless and friendly. Turns out a few years later he was convicted of downloading child pornography. Not a murderer I know but equally as shocking to me.

I'm pretty sure I could name more events but I'd be here all night!
I'm baffled how someone can know 6/7 different murderers when I've never even encountered one! 😲 I really hope never to, I don't think I'd get over it.

3 actual murders and 3 near murders, but still really grim!

Apparently more murderers walk among us than are locked up. You are more likely to be harmed by someone you know/know of than a stranger, so the statistics say. That in itself is the most scary thought! 😳

I don’t know any murders but “the bullseye killer” John Cooper is from my town, there’s an ITV drama based on his crimes coming out later this year

And a boy in the year above me at school tragically murdered his girlfriend a couple of years ago
