I was perusing Quora just now and found this hilarious question and answer 🤣

Do British people ever become annoyed when they are going about their daily routine and a member of the royal family passes by and they have to stop everything and lay on the ground?

OMG you have no idea! I decided to go to the supermarket yesterday, I’m disabled and use a mobility scooter.

No sooner had I turned left out of my road when a trio of cars with police bike outriders appeared. I flung myself from my scooter into a prostrate position in front of the first car which contained The King and Queen. Fortunately one of the policemen hauled me to my feet and escorted me back to my scooter. I was honoured to receive a wave from the Royal couple.

250 yards down the road, another trio of cars appeared, this time, the car contained the Prince and Princess of Wales. Prostrate again on the road, my body bruised from the flinging, I was once again returned to my scooter and decided not to risk a third encounter so returned home, hungry.

Apologies if already posted
That crown weighs a ton. I’m sure the last thing anyone wearing wants to do is lift a 4 year old. Also wearing crown means official time, not family time. Even if the kids (exist) were there that’s not a photo that would happen.

American media either needs to do some research or stop commenting.

didn't one of your kings die by hot poker in the arse?
Edward II according to MrDanDan (allegedly he says)

I asked.... I'm now getting a historical lecture. lol
Correct, allegedly Edward II at Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire.

"Accounts that he had been killed by the insertion of a red-hot iron or poker into his anus slowly began to circulate, possibly as a result of deliberate propaganda; chroniclers in the mid-1330s and 1340s spread this account further, supported in later years by Geoffrey le Baker's colourful account of the killing. It became incorporated into most later histories of Edward, typically being linked to his possible homosexuality.] Most historians now dismiss this account of Edward's death, querying the logic in his captors murdering him in such an easily detectable fashion."

As one of the comments say - whoever sold those personal letters should be ashamed.

Baroness Bruck...
"The sight of Charles, in crown, holding up Harry and Meghan’s son, Archie, on coronation day would go a long way to reverse recent damage. It could also signal royal pride in their family’s diversity."

Is this a joke?
as some one aptly commented on twitter :

Surely to be a full Lion King he should be holding up William as his heir?
If not him, then it should be George as the heir's heir, not some suspect American.

Incidentally I watched The Lion King last night (was bored) & the first scenes in the film of Zazu & Scar, then Mufasa & Scar - the dialogue was extremely prescient.

Re marklee v markle: Don't get to hopeful about this case, there is still a strong possiblity of dismissal, Emily Baker did a segment when it was filed and pointed out many problems. They chose to file in Florida because Florida's anti-SLAPP laws are two of only a handful of states that do not address whether a SLAPP defendant's motion will halt discovery proceedings. So discovery was allowed to continue, but the case could still be dismissed as the jurisdictional choice is sketchy. The judge did warn that the case may be 'ripe for dismissal' before the depositions take place. Many of Samantha's claims don't meet the critera for defamation. Emily Baker was spot on during her coverage of depp v heard.

this video is from 11 months ago. I vaguely remember watching this when Emily put it out originally and was a bit disheartened. Samantha refiled with a new lawyer in March last year so hopefully the case has been tidied up now. The original did seem to be a bit all over the shop. Fingers crossed because the Dutchass needs some KARMA stat.

I know it ww re-filed, and is hopefully more concise, however the jurisdiction problems, and proving defamation which resulted in loss of income remain the same. In general defamation cases are really hard to win. Misheard should have won her case, but her lawyers were really bad, and Depp's lawyers were really good. Nonetheless, it was heard's behavior during the trial, and on the witness stand that ensured a victory for depp.

an inability to understand that the British Monarchy bears no resemblance whatsoever to Celebrity Showbiz or Stardom - no blurring of lines despite what the media/Harkles would dearly like. The Coronation is a ceremony steeped in history, tradition and solemnity - not a movie/reality show.
