I was annoyed AF when I saw Hawwy in his RR with bodyguards AND A full blue lights parade of police cars escorting him. Perhaps I am being u reasonable but it really did grind my gears

Totally agree. It is because they firmly believe that they are always right. They might be masking deep seated insecurity but the mask and tactics is iron clad sadism. If they are in anyway challenged or, God Forbid, proven wrong, they double down: gaslight, play the victim and love a bit of reactive abuse to then claim that their target is "unhinged".
It is completely unnecessary and just feeds into his own self importance and 'need' to have royal protection because the meany UK is not safe- William can come and go with none/discreet protection but the spare wants the full fanfare

All this press stuff is just pure rage farming and nothing else. 98% of social media is exactly this now, all designed to induce clicks, comments and engagement. The press went the same way a few years ago.
