If you want to rent / buy in any of these New York condos you have to go in front of a residents' committee (sorry Brit here, don't know the tech terms) and answer a load of questions. I can't believe they would be accepted anywhere.

Yes many of the poshest apartments in NY are resident run coops where you have to be approved by the resident board and there are usually rules to be followed

Would they even be able to afford anything? $10-15 million isn't much for a property in a desirable neighbourhood in NY
