In the article it describes his conversation with an 11 year old: Radcliffe responded: 'But there are also people who also have a slightly condescending but well-meaning attitude of, "people are young... and it is a huge decision.'
That's not condescending, that's sensible. He's a 33 year old man. Why is he telling this 11 year old that people are being condescending when they tell her she needs more time to be sure. He's meant to be making a documentary. He shouldn't be influencing the children in it. What does he know about transgenderism really?

When I went to theatre school I know some girls who auditioned for RAD, it was very competitive and gruelling.
Sadly there are too many Parents just like this that think parenting is indulging your child's every whim and desire, it's not, parenting is about raising an adult to go out into the big wide world with the skills required to adult properly. Has anyone ever seen a TRA adult properly.

There’s a difference in letting children tell their parents who they are and the parents allowing medical intervention. No one in their right mind would let a child decide their entire life at this age but suddenly, when it comes to medication and invasive surgery it’s ok?! What is wrong with people?!
It's still unbelievable to me that people think kids of this age are able to make informed decisions which will affect their entire future. It's not like getting a silly haircut or nose piercing.
Meanwhile under 18s are prohibited from drinking alcohol, smoking, getting married, voting, having a tattoo or getting an only fans account but changing sex/gender no problem!
Thing is, a lot of these progressive types (in the US specifically) don’t think that gender reassignment surgery is happening to under 18s and they think that puberty blockers are completely reversible. That’s what I’m hearing from the Uber woke podcasts I listen to. They think it’s right wing propaganda and not actually happening. They are lying to themselves in order to justify their stance on ‘protect trans kids’. Because the horror of removing healthy breasts from a 14 year old is too much, even for them.

It would be brilliant if we could share some small businesses that are advocates for women. Charities that also support women (actual born female women) such as DV charities and grape crisis centres. I’ve made a conscious effort to buy from companies that don’t buy in to all this trans bias. It’s quite hard picking them out and having autistic children’s means some things I just have to buy. I feel like it’s a small part towards it but it’s making a stand. An it’s important we do.
It bleeping is!!! I understand that the vast majority of people are just too nieve and sheltered to see it for what it is but as a person who was abused as a child I can see the attempt at normalising the idea of "informed consent" in minors a mile off.
I have even seen it creep into our RSE programme in Ireland in some proposed changes to the curriculum.
I think a lot of people also do think boys becomes girls and vice versa. I've had normal, functioning adults tell me that men can have babies after "bottom surgery" for example, or that TIF can father a child if they get a pen and testicles made...like zero thought or grasp of biology but total confidence because they've heard that TWAW and TMAM.
In reality they get left as not really male and not really female. As an intersex person, it baffles me that anyone would want to do that to themselves of their own free will. I am in a lot better position than most trans identifying individuals will be - I was born looking female, given a female birth certificate as a consequence, raised female, born with normal genitals and a functioning tina that I never had to dilate or use lube with, grew my own natural boobs, naturally look and sound typically female without FFS or laser treatment etc. But I'm still not really a woman and it makes me sad and struggle mightily with unaliving thoughts for decades.
If you need multiple surgeries, dilation, voice training, electrolysis, etc etc and still basically look like a bloke - how does that help anyone? Like even when they do it to kids and they pass a little better, they get left without sexual function or sensation, and have the need for recurrent surgeries - what sort of life is that? It's criminal that the poor sods can't get proper therapy that helps thrm accept reality and cope. If woke people actually *care* about trans identifying people they wouldn't leave them a mutilated, sterilised, medically-dependent mess.
I think politicians and lobby groups in Ireland have taken public support totally for granted. We're congratulating ourselves for being such a tolerant country but in reality we haven't had any sort of public discussion and the GRA was snuck in under the radar. We need an open discussion in Ireland but I don't think prime time etc are going to go there. Not at the moment anyway.

The whole links between big pharma and misuse and mis diagnosis of drugs is so important, yet so difficult to explain clearly in simple terms.
Im sure if there are genuine trangender or transsexual people, and there must be some, a tiny minority, these drugs and treatments would have a genuine use, but...if they are prescribed to anyone who doesnt need them, who could just do with a bit more proper counselling to think things through, then this is wrong.
Its just science fiction, taking the idea that we can easily change sex dependent on who we want to be on any given day, im sure this is an idea in some films and books. Its scary!
exactly, all I see in this movement is adults telling kids that the child is old enough to give consent to whatever happens to their bodies, adults (including those in schools who should know about safeguarding) working to erode parental supervision and weaken the parent/child relationship by socially transing children without telling parents, adults providing body altering materials to children (sending binders in the post FFS to minors), adults providing false medical information to vulnerable children that anything they do can be reversible, when the science says otherwise, all of this points in only one direction, getting to a point where it can be claimed that minor children are capable of giving consent, and we all know who it benefits to reduce the age of consent. This is grooming on a mass scale.I think you've summed up the dangers of teaching this to young children. If they are taught that a man can change into a woman they're going to think that he can change into an actual, real woman. They're not going to realise the state that his body will be in and they're not going to know about the side effects of the hormones and surgeries because of course we won't tell them that. It's too gruesome for small children. Encouraging children to think about their gender identity is such dangerous bs. They would never worry about it without someone planting the idea in their head - mainly because we don't actually have gender identities.
