I feel quite sorry for Paul who never claimed to be anything but a man and retired Lily Savage decades ago having his death co-opted by people he didn't appear to want to have anything to do with.

He seems, by all accounts, to have been a lovely bloke, he's spent the last 20 odd years concentrating on his animal stuff and all of the obits have great big pictures of Lily plastered everywhere like he was strutting about in his high heels only yesterday. He'd moved on from that part of his life and had so much more about him. He deserves better.

I am not goading here. I understand why some people have their views. But, we are a long time in the ground, a very long time. If someone feels happier living their life a certain way, then as long as they are not a paedophile, a sexual abuser or a murderer, why should others make it a problem? Should we all not be free to live our lives as we choose? Let's face it, we don't get much choice once our heart stops beating.
If a man says "I feel happy pretending I'm a woman", I have no issues. If he tries to make me, my daughter or any other member of society pretend he's a woman too, then I have a problem. I have a friend who likes to pretend she lives in little house on the prairie, and I have no problem with her dressing up and making her videos of herself mopping and baking - when she starts saying all women should do the same, I have a problem.

Live YOUR life but don't impose it on others. That's my mantra. Want to cosplay at being Pocahontas, fine; take jobs/scholarships from actual native American women- that makes you a shit. Crappy male swimmer who thinks he'd like to play make-believe that he can change sex, go for it, Little Mermaid; compete against women and display your cock in a female changing room - you're a shit. Like, if someone likes to be pissed on, that's fine but don't involve others in your kink. None of this is complicated.

Trouble is TIM and quite a few TIF actively WANT to impose their nonsense on others. Just being tolerated to parade their laughable selves around isn't enough - everyone needs to pretend it is real. They want submission to their will - how exceptionally male of them!

So you can't live and let live with those who refuse to live and let live. That's why brave women are ready, like KJK, to risk their lives over this - it really, really matters.

When Dylan gets compared to Audrey Hepburn I always think about when they said ‘I want to be a mom one day and I absolutely can’.
Audrey spent many years trying to get pregnant, felt the pain of multiple miscarriages and if I remember correctly nearly lost one of her sons during the pregnancy. I don’t think she would like to be compared, maybe even on a superficial level, to a person who is biologically male making a mockery by saying out loud how they want to be a mother.
This is why a bloke comparing themselves to a woman is so fucking disrespectful. I had a miscarriage and it's absolutely the worst experience of my life, my body didn't realise the baby had died so I had to go through a medical termination. It was painful and emotional in equal measure. No man can ever come close to knowing what menstruation, pregnancy and miscarriage feel like.

Wtf do they even mean by let trans people live?

1 in 4 TIM’s aren’t subject to domestic abuse, often resulting in death
They aren’t told that the fact they went out after dark or wore a short skirt is the reason for a r or SA
They aren’t deemed as being on their period every time they want to assert themselves or dare raise their voice
They aren’t treated as second class citizens in the workplace due to maternity leave or childcare needs

By “live” do they mean walk round in anime style lolita outfits and mansplain periods to actual women? Do they want affirming when they refer to biological women as jealous and below them, do they want unprecedented access to our safe spaces and if anyone dare be threatened or traumatised that a man is in a woman’s refuge then they’re a transphobic bigot

They can absolutely do what they want and dress how they want. What they shouldn't be doing is calling themselves Women and entering our spaces or our competitions. They are MEN, whether they cut their dick off and create a hole in it's place or not.
It's not acceptable to wear black face or claim to be black so why the fuck should it be acceptable to claim to be a Woman

Transvestite performer, Paul O'Grady, also known as the lady Lily Savage, dies aged 67. View attachment 2064374

He seemed like such a kind and decent man, it really hurts he is gone from this world.

But Paul described himself as a drag act, he refused to have anything to do with RuPaul's drag race, as he claimed it wasn't drag but transvestism.

In light of the unveiling of the intersex inclusive train, I'm worried that I've spent so many hours on a train in my life without ever checking if it was inclusive of me as an intersex person or not. Bizarrely I just bought a ticket and settled down with a book and a crap coffee.

So sick and tired of having a bloody biological medical condition one is born with turned into part of the whole flag waving rainbow carnival. Why? Will people with spina bifida or congenital heart disease be next to get invited to dance around next to a man in a frock and a blue haired they/them waving a special flag?

I know this is definitely not the right thread for this, but something I find incredibly concerning is this new woke thing of saying people are "kink shaming" if they don't welcome with open arms the most degrading fucked up acts

Paving the way for acceptance of p****philia and b****iality if you ask me

Slim pickings for actual women lesbians on Tinder at the moment. These are some of the specimens that come up when you search for women seeking women...

I think Tom Daley is one of those gay men who don't see women as real people. Women only exist when he needs something from them, eg. a baby. Therefore it's perfectly valid to demand women abandon their aspirations of sporting success if a man wants to step in and take it instead. Women are simply unimportant in his eyes.

The trans "day of vengence" has a much more ominous ring to it than the much more placid "let women speak" rally, doesn't it?

What rights are they being denied exactly, apart from the justified resistance to them barging their way into women and children's spaces and the right to force us to call them something they aren't and never will be?

Some of their slogans include "trans rights....or else", in between actual machine guns. So peaceful! So kind!
After this weeks devastating slaughter of children I'm not sure threatening more gun violence against non-compliant woman and their children is a good look.

I say let them march, let us get a real good look at what they really are; a collection of misogynists, social misfits and losers.
Lets hope its peaks more women, not only are they after us but its clear that our children are now fair game aswell.

To those who worrying that some of the people who share GC views have other views that you don't like: don't worry about it. At all. You can't control what others think. The fact that you have common ground on one thing is neither here nor there. I bet they also like eating food and breathing in and out.

The idea that you have to pick a side and agree with everything that side says or does is childish, absolutist thinking - the sort that the current brand of TRAs rely on. Its what has led to the complete polarisation of politics in the USA where if you are a Democrat you must uncritically support the current trans rights movement for the simple reason that the Republicans don't.

Example, I can't stand Piers Morgan but I agree with him on gun control. I also grudgingly admire that he doesn't indulge in absolutist thinking; he will criticise someone fiercely but if they say or do something sensible, he acknowledges and praises it.

Oh and PS, the TRA love trying the 'guilt by association ' argument but don't like it one bit if you turn it on them - just look at all the criminals and sex offenders exposed at the top levels of TRA influence 🙄

Why are we against FGM and yet allow this shit to happen? Why are we castrating children and removing sexual function? That zoom call where the person is discussing so casually the trauma inflicted on those boys is chilling. Also it’s all about how to prevent it on the future, those kids have now been written off. Experimentation. Like the actual Dr Mengele.

That’s all well and fine, but women still deserve to have their own separate spaces because believe it or not paedophiles, sexual abusers and murderers don’t come with great big labels stuck on their foreheads so how are we to know?
Trans identifying men already have the same rights as everyone else, but they want MORE and the fact they’ll be dead one day is irrelevant.

I disagree with surrogacy under all circumstances. Not because I don't have sympathy for women or gay couples who are desperate for a child but because it is never the best option for the baby. And noone I've ever heard argue for surrogacy has put the baby in the centre of their argument. Ever.
You should not be able to buy a person, even a brand new person. Removing a baby from its mother for any reason other than its own safety is bloody awful and I don't care whose feelings it hurts to see that written down.

Some things are more important than feelings, see also trans issues vs women's rights.

Apparently Alison Bailey has quit her job as a barrister following her win against Garden Court Chambers. Her statement:

I’m writing to let you know that I have decided to retire from practise as a barrister, and to reassure you that this will not affect the appeal against Stonewall.

Being called to the Bar of England and Wales is one of the greatest achievements of my life. Practising for over twenty years at the Criminal Bar has been a responsibility, a privilege, and an honour.

I have resigned from Garden Court Chambers and notified the Bar Council and the Bar Standards Board that I will retire from practise effective 31 March 2023.

As far as the appeal against Stonewall Diversity Limited is concerned, my change of status, from practising to non-practising barrister, changes nothing. The appeal continues.

All best wishes,
Allison

Not wishing to speculate but let it be known that a black lesbian woman was called, in court, a “sexual racist” and her “crime” of being a lesbian who likes only biological women likened to “apartheid in South Africa against black people” by a straight white woman.

I have a problem with surrogacy. No one thinks of the child. It’s against the law to take a puppy away from its mum until it’s 8 weeks old but we take little human babies away from the only mother they’ve ever known basically instantly. And that’s before you even get any of the issues that affect women. It’s gross.

I’m not against gay couples having children but they shouldn’t be allowed to buy them. No one should.
