What kids don’t have is informed consent. When I was a kid I wanted what I wanted now, and had no forethought for the future until it was too late because I was so sure in my head what I wanted. I also believed that these were regulated in the same way that other prescription medication and surgeries are. My limited experience with transsexuals had been positive.
Because of the trans activists wanting to invade women's spaces and sports I began to search online to learn more about the subject and figure out what was happening. That's when I fell down the rabbit hole and realised how harmful these surgeries and medication can be.
These are major surgeries that can need several revisions due to fistulas, incontinence, pain - and worse. Sexual function can be diminished. People are choosing to become infertile (although men can freeze sperm in advance). And these are permanent surgeries.

If the NHS are giving this surgery to trans men and non binary females with very little therapy or questioning then surely they can’t refuse it to women who aren’t trans or nb? Obviously to me and probably the rest of you it seems barbaric but it could be one of those things that some women will think they want (again, I struggle to think why but the human race continue to baffle me on a daily basis). Re: the ballet dancer, I think the confusion has come about because people have got mixed up between the Royal Academy of Dance and the Royal Ballet School. The Royal Academy of Dance is just an examination board, in the same way that there are examination boards for GCSEs and A-levels. Thousands and thousands of people take RAD exams each year, as this dancer has, but there is no physical school that they could have taken a place at. That's the Royal Ballet School, which is a feeder school for the Royal Ballet, and no way would this individual be offered a place there.
Thank you for the clarification! I was genuinely baffled as to how such a prestigious ballet school could ever accept someone with mediocre talent, regardless of sex. Though it gives me the ick to think of an AGP prancing around in a leotard in front of other young dancers.

The WPATH SOC criteria for genital surgery includes a requirement for 12 continuous months of hormone therapy, but if HRT isn't medically safe or appropriate this doesn't apply. Patients should be taking some form of hormone supplementation after Orchiectomy though, either estrogen or testosterone.
Whether the requirements are the same for "Top Surgery" I don't know.

Very valid reasons, but on naked education there was a woman who had a breast removed due to breast cancer. She was considering having the healthy breast removed in the future as she didn’t like the constant reminder that she had been through cancer hell, and also was thinking that removing the breast would significantly reduce the chance of getting cancer in that breast one day. I would think that if you had a high chance of getting cancer and wanted to remove the breasts (and other bits like the lymph nodes - I’m not too clued up on this) then you should be able to opt for this surgery as if it is available for transgender reasons then it should also be available for medical reasons.
Once it becomes fully recognised and people become used to seeing women with flat chests then I would think it would naturally progress to a wider audience for cosmetic reasons.
