I work in mental health we were told a vulnerable female patient was requesting a female only care team they didn't want any men. We went in and this "female" had a fool and was proudly wanking at us. It was sexual harrassment by stealth but we were expected to put up with it.

My daughter has been going on about trans she's 8 , I hate sounding like an old fart but I'm sure trans was pretty rare I've met 2 in my entire life yet the media make out a large proportion of people are trans. I worry about children affecting their fertility forever it's not a game or a label it is a life changing process. It's a trend as homosexually is now widely accepted (as it should be !) a certain subset need to have something new to protest about and feel different. If a transgender person dies and their body exhumed the pathologist will test their DNA and they will be identified by their biological sex you cannot change bleeping science !

Men again are eroding women's rights , rights we have fought too long and hard for.

Oh no. Women's Aid is trending on twitter and I'm too scared to look.

edit - I looked. TRAs being TRAs it seems.

Also some other tweet I read by a TRA is claiming trans people are twice as likely to be abused than 'cis' people.

Some excellent replies. Sharron Davies has a brilliant response

Sharron Davies has been brilliant on this issue.

On a related note I remember Jacqueline Wilson expressed her concern at children being given puberty blockers because they think they're transgender. She then came out as gay not long afterwards and the usual suspects were complaining she's not a REAL ally because she's 'transphobic'.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Spot on. When I was at school (not too long ago) the trend was to be bisexual - loads of the popular girls claimed they were bisexual for about a year and then never mentioned it again

Teenagers get to define themselves, so of course they want to be the latest popular thing, especially if they don’t have do anything other than say they are queer. Cue a wave of self defining queer kids. So far so harmless. Put together with a teenage girl who is awkward and dislikes her new body and the attention it gets, she could be persuaded that being a boy is easier. Still probably something that will pass as a fad. But then adults are getting hold of them and convincing them to medicalise through affirmation which is criminal.

I wanted to be a boy when I was a young teen because my brother had a later curfew and more freedom. I wanted to be a boy because females are oppressed thank god it was 2006-2007 and not today where I could have been encouraged/pressured to medically change my gender. I grew out of it and like being female I wonder how many kids will regret this ?

I remember when I was about 14 thinking it was really unfair that I’d never get to feel what it was like to have sex with a pen (and even fantasised about it a bit) but it was pubescent curiosity and it passed. I even said it to my mum snd seemed a bit nonplussed. Dread to think what would have happened if I’d expressed that these days to someone of the “rush them through transition” mindset.

I read somewhere recently that, if we tell kids they can choose their gender, is it any surprise that girls say “well I think I’ll be a boy then”?

Surely a judge needs to know such basic definitions as what maketh a woman?

I think you would have to see the whole interview as it sounds like republican politicians where continually trying to get her to comment on political topics such as CRT amongst others as well as attacking her to score points rather than seeking to find out her competence to be on the supreme court.

Taken on its own the clip is damning but remember she is not a politician

Just read this on the open university I'm a bit behind all the trans news but christ they are brave researching gender critical views🤣. I might attend the seminar on the 29th my university definitely wouldn't have the balls to do this.
I suspect that may be damage limitation - Jo Phoenix's case against them is being heard in the next few months and she's got the same QC who's just eviscerated the defence in the Maya Forstater hearing.

Absolutely. It is way too much. The whole LGBT thing now is very over done. LGB have their rights and I don't know of anyone (and haven't for yeeeeaaaars) who doesn't support them 100%. As you say inclusivity never includes women or disabled people and these days it is only about the T. For me it has had the absolute opposite effect and I have well researched this trans horror show and rejected it out of hand.
Interestingly, there is something coming out of Ukraine, where Trans men have been unable to cross the border to Poland, because they are being treated as men by border guards.
Because, No Ukrainan men between the ages of 18 or 60 are allowed to leave the country at the moment!

But.... this also mentioned that these trans individuals were scared of Russia, because Russia has anti gay and anti trans policy!

So maybe the LGBT thing isnt world wide...and some countries dont support trans issues or LGBT issues!

So maybe...although I do support LGBT issues, and have some questions around trans issues, there are some countries and cultures, who do question them? So why cant we as well?

Ooh I didn’t know that 😎

Ben Cooper QC is so good, they must be shitting themselves. It’s the last day of Maya’s hearing as well, and he’s going to give his closing speech. Can’t wait.

I've become much more firm in my opinions over the last few months. So many women opposing the 'darker side' of the trans movement remain supportive of trans as a concept when I think the whole thing is a load of rubbish. Leaving aside the sissy pervs, the AGPs and the creeps trying to get into women's spaces, it's a complete non argument to say you were born in the wrong body as you have no idea what it's like to be the other sex.

Yes, I feel sorry for those who genuinely feel mixed up and have mental health issues but that's what needs to be dealt with and not affirming it by allowing transition.

You can tie yourself in knots trying to decide where to draw the line so why not right at the start? I'm with Kellie Jay Keen and feel men are men and women are women.

I’m not a politician but I know a woman is an adult human female.

I haven’t applied to be on the Supreme Court either but I wouldn’t say grass is red if Republicans were staying grass is green and asking me if I agreed with that.

I’m not sure if the role of Supreme Court judges do jail sentencing but if they do and this woman unidentified human person can’t determine someone’s sex then we can also assume criminals being imprisoned will not be imprisoned as according to their sex

I think trans should be more equated with people who do plastic surgery.

I have a theory about that, which makes me come across a bit tin-hattish, but after all the absolute insanity in the last few years I absolutely think it’s true. I believe it’s Russia and China spreading this rot. If you think it sounds crazy, I don’t mind, but then people say Russia absolutely interfered online with Brexit and Trump by posting propaganda online And nobody bats an eye. As for China, it’s funny how Chinese-owned TikTok are warping young western teen minds, not just this topic, but also the stupid challenges which involve porn and even results in death and yet China limits its own citizens to 20(?) minutes of usage per day.

I have a theory what the end game is but I could be wrong
