Coventry fc has been evicted from there stadium by Mike Ashley who owns it.

How is that ok
If Coventry City had a lease to use the stadium they wouldn't have this latest issue which is the latest in a long line of F ups by them over many years. They instead have a license and that becomes invalid when new ownership starts. Therefore if the new owner wants to do what he wants to the stadium he owns he's completely entitled to.

They do have a lease and it is until 2031. That Mike Ashley agreed with and has now changed his mind. The new lease there trying to get coventry to sign is only till 2023 with them paying more. And all the 'duck ups' are sisu not coventry fc. The fact of the matter if why has he been able to buy a stadium and why is he able to kick a team out. It shouldn't be legal to do.

This picture always kills me because it was taken literally minutes after that penalty miss in the euros final 😭 Zero shame.

I wonder how long it takes. Predator who thinks rules don't apply because he's a rich Football player or women trying to get him locked up when as a rich Football player he gets so many offers he doesn't have to force anything on anyone.

I will add it does look like Mike Ashley is trying to back sisu in a corner to sell the club. But no idea if they would as they don't care about coventry

License to 2031 not a lease until 2031. Lease means you stay at the ground until 2031. License means under the owners you came to the agreement with you stay at the ground until 2031 but new owners makes the previous arrangement invalid.

Omg I got a word wrong wow. The fact is they agreed to the original terms and now gone back on them. Again how has Mike Ashley been able to buy something in football.

Also think your missing the whole point. Again a football club is having to deal with something that shouldn't happen in football. They should be protected from this happening

You didn't get a word wrong you were correct. Think of it like this you want to hire an house to live in so with the owner of that house you get a lease until 2031. If the owner sells the house to someone else you still get to stay in the house with the new owners until 2031.

But if instead you get a license not a lease so do what Coventry City did and the owner sold to another owner, that would make the license no longer valid as it was agreed under a different owner. Mike Ashley hasn't broken any rules and he knows that to bring it up.
