I’m sorry but Southgate’s treatment of Trent is so fucking bizarre. Fair enough he has his dodgy moments in defense, but so does every single other player yet they get given chance after chance to play games and make squads. Not saying they should build the team around him because obviously that would be daft but they are really missing out by not having him play, he creates chances that no other players can.

He’s wasting what could be a golden generation for this england team purely because he has his favourites, it’s shocking management and i hope england get rid asap.

While it’s obviously awful what Jack’s done, it’s nowhere NEAR anything as bad as Mendy has done. I really don’t like the narrative the press seem to be running with, it’s actually taking away from what really took place. His actions are shit but he didn’t break the law, Mendy did. The focus should be more on what’s going to be done to deal with the scummy rapist rather than the guy who cheated.

I’ve slagged him off for being boring so many times but that doesn’t mean I don’t think he’s a great guy. He’s one of the only footballers who you rarely hear about in the press and who actually seems like a down to earth family man, it’s very rare. Really feel for him and everyone at spurs. I think the fact that players who have barely been at the club 3 months are so impacted by his death speaks volumes about how loved and respected he was, it’s so sad

Worst part about this Southgate/Trent debarcle is how much public critcism he’s giving a 23 year old who’s won it all - yet sticks up for 29 year old Maguire and says “we need to support him” and is having heart to hearts according to Matt Law Pick and choose Gareth how you Treat your players publically - still not over the Tomori treatment either.

The Euros were great but as Claude from AFTV would say “its time to go”. I can’t enjoy an England game when we have some of the best attacking talent in years and he can’t utilise them properly. I’m just gonna be rooting for my club players at this WC tbh not so much England or a country. Would love Argentina to win it for Romero… and obviously Messi
