We already know the answer to that. No matter the heinous activities other club owners engage in, people will only bleat and cry about City’s “oIL mOnEyYyYyyyy.”
As a neutral, I don’t like City’s owners or Newcastles…or PSGs won’t like the Man United ones either. I’ve expressed my thoughts on all this when the Newcastle takeover was happening so I won’t go into too much as I can’t be arsed. Would I want them to own Wolves? duck no.
I’ll just say it’s nothing do to with the clubs, the human rights violations are grim…all billionaires are corrupt to some extent but they’re next level…
I can admit City play excellent football (and I think a lot of their success comes from Pep… would they have got him without the investment, probably not…but he’ll be a big draw for a lot of players which helps…).
I know Newcastle and Man United hate their owners/prev owners so I can kind of understand the fans wanting it. Even if I wouldn’t want them within ten miles of Molineux lmao.
I didn’t know about Liverpool’s owner and Episten but given Abramovich being pally with Putin I’m not surprised… These scumbags seem to group together.
The only way you’d stop it would be the 50+1 rule and it’s too far gone at this point.
(I’m not about to cry about oil money not giving other teams a chance… Man United and Man City and the rest of the Sky Six are competing for different things to my club. Take Liverpool for example, although not “oil money” If they finished the season with just an FA Cup they’d be sad. I’d be on the Wembley pitch stealing a corner flag)

Well that's true, but lots of gay men don't give a Flying Wallenda about football so friendships, relationships or hookups can stay within friendship groups. Most gay men aren't interested in outing other gay men and never have been. I think in part it's a legacy left by the men who came before us when you could get sent to prison just for being you.You do see one or two stories about. There are often rumours in local gay communities, because gay men are not known for being discreet within the community itself (I suspect, but don't know, that the logic is that its not outing someone if you're only telling other gay people, or something to that effect). I'm not acquainted enough with any local gay communities to really find out though
I think we all know some very out and proud lads who are quite vocal but most of us don't want to draw too much attention to ourselves as although it's easier to be more open these days it's still not safe despite what people might think. Unless you're in a big city most gay communities are quite small so it's easier to be a gay footballer/actor/whatever there. For instance I live in a city but it's not a big city so the local gay community is not massive, but we still have cliques and groups of guys whose lives just don't cross so it was always possible for my footballer friends to visit and go out to the local gay bars with no problem back in the day and it would be even less of a problem now given so many straight people are happy to be seen out with their gay friends in gay bars it would be easy to just say you're here visiting a gay mate.
My friend is a theatre director and when he's here he often takes out the actors (some out, some not) and has done so for years and years and no one has ever made it into the news.
Back then if the local gay lads found out there was a footballer in the bar they were only interested in seeing them in (and out) of their kit and couldn't give a toss if they had a bit of money or if they were a little bit famous.

Most new owners are awful. I dislike Radrizzani immensely but when people ask me if I’d like a takeover at Leeds right now, I usually straight up say no. Radz is a moron and he’s got no money, but his human rights record isn’t too chequered at the moment (failed Myanmar tour notwithstanding)

a bit late to this chat but my friend did go to a Tottenham Christmas party years ago, she’s beautiful and has loads of followers and had to sign an NDA and phone cameras were all covered. Not because the girls are escorts just so no one sees players black out drunk stumbling about etcI think it works like - say if a group of escorts are hired to erm, entertain, let’s say the Tottenham team at a pre-season party, they would have to sign to say they won’t speak to the press or post anything on socials or disclose what happened to people not present.
