Well if she has money for a deposit then she wont have to sell, she will just pay her mortgage with what she gets for renting out her current house. She can also use equity from her current house as deposit to buy another - it's what I did. Honestly after you have one house paid off it's easy to build it up and get more properties so if they do it right they can easily just get another house. Will probably be hard to find a 5 bed house though
They won’t get a mortgage if neither of them is working though! So it still leaves the question of how they intend to keep ownership of one house and buy another outright?
It really does baffle me how they appear to have no understanding of money

Some lenders do accept benefits income if they are on benefits. I remember she mentioned there were both self employed so depends what income they declared in the last few years. Also again if they will rent out they current property then that's their income too. I mean it's not as easy as getting a mortgage when you're employed but with a good broker its doable. Having a paid off property puts them in a better position for sure, without that they probably wouldnt be able to do that.

Not sure which lender will lend solely on benefits income that isn’t disability due to disability / ill health? I work in the industry so I’d be very curious to see who that is as I’ve never heard of it. Similarly with rental income, unless a buy to let, they wouldn’t get a lender without main income as lenders are obliged to ensure any new lending is affordable, and sustainable.

regardless, it’ll be interesting to see which move they take. I think Emma seems pretty open when people ask questions about their situation and I’m sure someone will ask eventually!

Have a little Google, I know a single mum who did it this year without massive problems, she just needed a 10% deposit. Plus in her situation is not solely being on benefits, they are both self employed if I'm not wrong? She was a 'beautician' ( if you can say that, her work was horrid) and now they have the sweet business. So its benefits + self employed + possible rental I'm guessing that would work?

I have googled it, I can’t find any. They no longer have beauty business so cannot use that income, unsure about Dave? They couldn’t use sweetie business income as when you’re self employed the absolute minimum you need is 12 months income. I am just thinking about it from a lenders point of review, I am a mortgage underwriter and I couldn’t see myself ever approving their mortgage with the quick changes in job, likely high reliance on benefits etc. Perhaps a specialised lender may help them but I can’t see a high street bank doing it 😳

As for those nails, I would cry for days if I left a salon with my nails looking like that 😭😭

Yess i know they dont have that business anymore but if let's say she has been self employed for last 4 years and declared income each year then that should work, no? Like if she can provide last three SA302s showing income of course. I've heard dave was/is self employed but hard to tell, he doesnt say much 😆 oh yeh that girl I mentioned tried her bank first and was turned down but broker found her a lender in the end. Our mortgage end of last year had to go through an underwriter due to covid and my husband being SE tattooist and not able to work for pretty much the whole year...so I know it wasnt easy then. I mean...for her kids sake I hope they manage to get it.

And I know, those nails were truly horrific 😂 when I saw them I thought it was the 'before'👀

Unfortunately it wouldn’t work- as although they have been self employed for a while it’s in a different line of work so no Underwriter in their right mind would use income from a business that’s no longer running, it’ll be pretty easy to work out the income they had declared isn’t in relation to sweetie business with a google search. It’d be different if it were the same line of work but beautician to sweetie seller wouldn’t be able to pull it off! I hope they manage for the kids too, if it was just them I wouldn’t care as much but their house is so cluttered I do feel bad for the children, I think they need the extra space. I think most lenders at the moment are looking at self employed applications a lot stricter due to COVID- hopefully in a few months they’ll be no more need for that- fingers crossed!

Yeh hopefully they will manage to find a lender that's not that strict, like my friend did. Maybe that's why they are waiting till the end of the year so the rules are not that strict. Also I dont know long shes been on YouTube/tiktok as I've not been watching her for that long but surely that's some kind of an income too, looks like shes working with degousta, uber eats and a few other bits so that adds to her income. When she talks about it, it does sound like she has a plan so as much as I find her annoying fingers crossed she does, her kids need more space for sure.

She needs to be reported to the ASA! She is advertising products from a brand which she received as a GIFT. Which should state either Gifted, or AD in the description.

I can’t believe she spent £450 there & then she’s got her normal food shop to pay for & then all her takeaways… I don’t understand how she actually affords all this because I wouldn’t say she earns a lot from her “business” & she said that’ll she’ll do a Costco shop once a month where is this money coming from I just don’t understand. I have three working people in my house & we couldn’t even afford to do the stuff she does

For me it's the fact she's in the same pajamas from yesterday... She obviously not showered today or even been outside.

What I can't understand is why brands would send her to promote anything?? She always looks so greasy and spotty it's not exactly the look I would want for my brand if I'm honest ... Palmers have just sent her a box of olive oil hair conditioners! She never washes her hair so good luck with that!

Which she SHOULD be declaring on the post! Written either #AD or #gifted which she hasn't done.

I was thinking the same thing, she’ll probably be in them for the next week. Can’t believe she spent nearly £20 on some pjs
