They've had poppy for a month and bathed her 4 times. Pomeranians don't have much oil in their coats so will get sore skin.

Why is she bathing the dog again?
Take it to the bleeping vet, again, Emma because it’s been backyard bred and clearly has issues and you’re to bleeping dumb and lazy to see it. You think bathing it is the answer, you’re doing more harm than good. I feel so sad, I can see a mile off this pup is going to have a multitude of issues the poor thing.

for a child. You can’t adopt if your BMI is over 40, tony was suitable but Emma wasn’t.

despite me always calling out Emma, this was horrible for her.
I've mentioned my friend on here a few times who has had phenomenal success for years now after WLS. He decided to have the surgery when he was denied for adoption. He lost weight and got really fit running and lifting weights - then he ended up adopting twins. 🥰

The reasoning behind not allowing people with a BMI of over 40 to adopt is due to their weight potentially affecting their ability to care for a child and compromising their longevity.

Emma would make an awful parent, and it has nothing to do with her BMI. You can't have nope days festering in your pillow pit with a child.

She neglects her own health, neglects her father, neglects her pets - thank goodness she doesn't have a child to neglect too.

Wow, I always thought she’d been really vocal about not wanting kids. I wonder if that was just a front to avoid the embarrassment of not actually being able to have them. Was it you that she fell out with after having your baby? I wonder if she just couldn’t cope with seeing someone else achieve something that she wanted but wouldn’t be able to?!

If Emma has lost 3 stone after her WLS, I’d expect her BMI to be under the 40 mark now. Please pray to whoever/whatever that she doesn’t decide to try and adopt again!!

I’ve been through the process and Emma definitely would not handle the level of scrutiny that comes with adopting. Emma likes quick fixes and the adoption process typically takes around a year - she’d have gone off the idea by the time she finished the training and assessments. Plus she certainly couldn’t provide adequate care for a “normal” child let alone one who’s come from a background of trauma/neglect/abuse.
I absolutely adore my son and love him more than I thought it was possible to love anyone, but my word he’s hard work! Compared to his friends of the same age there are so many more issues he encounters because of his background and these issues will continue for the rest of his life, we need to be prepared for that and find strategies to help him (and us) cope. Emma definitely couldn’t cope with someone having greater needs than her own - she can’t even cope with a dog, cats and a hamster let alone an actual child!

Once again I'm left feeling that Emma (and Tony) have just never had any experience of what life as an adult is really like. They seem incapable of looking after themselves and so much of what children learn as they get older about real life seems to have been missed. Basic stuff like personal hygiene etc. It just feels like they're playing at being grown ups, but are actually clueless, possibly because they've never had adults as role models. Emma makes out she's this big boss babe because she has a business and handbags etc, but they're actually just a pair of kids. They should never have been allowed a dog and I'm guessing that any attempt at adopting a child would actually throw up all these issues as it is such an intrusive process (for good reason).

How long do we think it will be before Poppy is given up or taken away?
she won’t be taken away I’ve seen tv shows with dogs living in the garden with no food where the rspca etc still did nothing.

sadly I think she’ll end up getting ill. Please make sure I’m wrong Emma. Take her to the vet, start walking her and stop sticking her in the bath constantly.

I don’t think the puppy will get taken away, but I do think Emma thought this was like have another cat. Very little interaction with it unless it’s for her benefit. They gave up cats before didn’t they, so I think perhaps until they next want to go on holiday and realise it’s not so easy with a dog. She has no friends who can dog/cat/hamster sit so what does she intend to do, going to be costly to pay someone.

No, it was a blessing in disguise. I'm sure there'll have been other obstacles apart from her weight as well? She can't even look after an animal never mind a child as we are seeing right now with Poppy ☹

Emma don't be a dumb witch and constantly bath that poor dog 😡. That dog is gaining problems by the day and it's clear to see. They'll end up having to give it away and they'll be like "it's not our fault, we tried our absolute hardest", they'll blame the breeder or the dog itself for being sickly, they'll blame everyone but themselves.

Did the dog even get a walk last night? She made it sound like the bath was instead of the walk.

I hate to say it but don't you get paid to adopt children? Please say this isn't another process Emma wants to do to get some cash.

That poor dog, please seek help for it.

I don’t think so, you get paid to foster.

No you get paid to foster children who would then either stay in long term foster care till they’re 18, they move on to be adopted or are returned back to the care of their birth family. As an adopter you don’t get paid - there are sometimes allowances you can get for specialised equipment or care but it’s not often.
Because the process is so intense and the needs of the children being adopted are so high, you need to go in to the process for the sole reason of wanting a family. It would break you (and the child) if your intentions weren’t true and right.

Not paid as such. Foster parents get some regular allowances per child and some one off expenses are met - like specialist equipment etc - but I think even some fo that is means tested from what I know of a friend who adopted but whose husband is a high earning lawyer in the city.

yes that was me. It’s hard when people have children when you’re desperate. I have one child, but currently I’m struggling to TTC and everyone seems to be pregnant. Emma would vanish for days at a time, and Tony would text me saying I was “too much for Emma to handle”. I rarely mentioned my baby or sent photos, as I knew she didn’t want to know... and that’s absolutely fine.

they went down the adoption process and Emma was hurt when she was turned down. TBH I would be devastated if it happened to me, and I empathise with her massively on that.

That's bizarre that McDonald acts like Emma's PA. 😂 I can't imagine getting my husband to text my friends updates on my emotional state.

They really have some weird Munchhausen/enabler vibe going on.
