I think she’s frugal to fault; I think it was absolutely killing her to be spending all that money in rent - but tbh her flat was around £2k a month, which for her is peanuts. She’s the type to complain about having to fork out a tenner even though she’s rolling in it. Why cram back in with her parents when she could rent a place or her own? It’s not like she doesn’t have the money!! But it just goes to show London life was all for show/purely for work. I get it’s always a good idea to save, but surely part of London life is being in a vibrant city you love, and socialising with friends. The minute work dries up she’s gone. What about her friends? She clearly had no life in London
Her London rent was deffo more than £2k. It’s a 2 bed isn’t it? You’re looking at £3k+ (I’m in a sister development to the building she’s in but mine’s a 1 bed) so it’s a lot of money to be wasting yeah.
I don’t think anyone can lay blame for her moving to London for work, and again, the minute that isn’t required it makes sense to move out again if you have no other ties keeping you there, it just seems bizarre to know you’re going to struggling living back with parents but do it anyway when you have so many other options.
That being said, if it’s only for 3 months then to be fair, I did the same thing when I moved from Leeds to London while I found my flat and my boyfriend worked his notice period!
It’ll be interesting to see what the next move is and if that isn’t to LA then I think there’s serious questions surrounding the relationship. Covid is a real block right now but once that’s eased up and restrictions lifted (must be killing her she can’t break these rules!) then there is literally no reason for her not to be out there, at least for an extended period to start.
As an influencer work out there will/should be easy come by and i’m sure there are management companies that would sponsor her in order to secure the visa needed but we’ll see...
