I canāt remember but she said it once ages ago and sheās said it again but he aināt mentioned itā¦ well I aināt heard him say anything about it.
she says this like it gives her more āmental health advocateā credibility as if cbt isnt shoved towards every man and his dog. i also hate to act like one thing is āworseā than another. but cbt is the baseline treatment for literally anything, including teenage friendship struggles by a GP. you donāt even need a diagnosis, theyāll just offer you cbt if youāre a āworriedā person. sheās using it as if sheās got her ocd diagnosis and the right to speak about mental illness because she āreally strugglesā (iāve never seen her carry out one of her daily compulsions she has about leaving rooms whilst she struts through her shed on livestreams) but i donāt think her having cbt is much substance pertaining to anything really. her GP also canāt give her a diagnosis of OCD and iām also sure her GP would be aware that cbt isnāt exactly a pushed treatment for OCD anymore seeing as individuals who have it are largely aware that their compulsions arenāt rational, (i.e. someone will die if they donāt flick the kettle on 3 times- they know that it is not a rational train of thought but itās a compulsion nevertheless), they tend to do exposure therapy or exposure therapy as well as CBT combined with medication.
to add again, this is just from my nurse training and experience. i could be completely off the mark.
Why on earth does this 
only 24 year old girl think she has any right to tell people how to deal with/cure their mental illnesses? Different things work for different people and unfortunately a lot of people never actually find what they need.
For me, having my daughter has massively improved my mental state (so far so good anyway) but duck me I would never tell anyone that having a child is the cure because Iām well aware it couldāve very easily gone the opposite way and unfortunately does for some people.

There isn't a day goes by where I wish I wasn't "normal" an that a sip of god dam water could fix everything! That I don't have to take up to 10 tablets a day to get me though it.
I wish I didn't have the guilt of sometimes not wanting to be here but I am here because no one could love my children like me, I don't want to hurt them or them to blame themselves.

She has no idea what it's like to beg and I mean beg for help! To feel truly alone an that feeling of wanting to fall asleep an not wake up. Go go and see countless Doctor's, councilors, psychiatrists. To be what feels like a guinea pig trying different medication to find one's that work.

tit I'll give that a go and just tell myself to get over it...Nothing bad will happen. The worst that will happen is you'll realise they don't work for you and then the GP will try something else. It took a little while to figure out what meds worked best for me. I'd say please don't worry but I know that's not how our brains workmaybe trying sipping some water?
