I'm so worried about this guy I'm dating. All was normal a few days ago. He messaged me one morning a massive long message asking how I was, that he missed me, jokes, about his plans for the day etc. I WhatsApped him back and it delivered. But I didn't hear from him in a day so sent him another just asking if he was okay as I usually hear from him by now. One tick. I'm not blocked as I tried to add him to a group and it works and I can see his profile picture etc.

I have tried calling and it just rings out. Nothing makes sense and I am doing my absolute nut in. He hasn't blocked me or anything but just seems to have completely gone off the radar.

When I asked what he did for work he was just "a bit of this and that" and it genuinely worries me he has got in trouble. Either that or he has hit a low and is ignoring everything from the outside world.

From the outside looking in I'd say "yeah he's not interested and trying to avoid you". But that it was so abrupt and it's not like he has blocked me on anything as the phone still rings and not blocked on WhatsApp...

I am so worried that something has happened to him.
Strange that the message only shows one tick as in not delivered but the phone rings. Are you ringing through WhatsApp?

I rang through WhatsApp and normal phone. It just rings and rings and eventually invites me to leave a message. I'm just so worried because if he wasn't interested surely he would just block me? Seems like he just disappeared from WhatsApp entirely.

Very strange. Seems you're not blocked on WhatsApp so but strange that the message hasn't delivered. I'm sure it's awful for you, poor thing. Are you connected on SM?

No he doesn't have any social media 🙁.

If he'd have blocked me on WhatsApp I would have taken the hint. But he's just disappeared it seems.

Yeah I know what you mean. It's very odd, I can understand why you're worried. I've no advice I'm afraid, just hoping you'll hear from him very soon x

I hope so too and thank you. I just wanted to get it off my chest rather than look for advice.

It worries me that he's the kind of person who will go off radar due to trouble or personal issues and not say. If he gets back to me and offers an explanation this one time I might let it slide. But I will say if he does it again I won't see him. Is that reasonable? I know I've not known him a long time but it does make me so worried and I can't deal with people suddenly vanishing into thin air.

Ugh I can't be bothered with this haha I don't even know why I downloaded them again as I'm not in the vibes for someone new at the moment either!
Don't blame you, im never on there long before I get done with it! Although I am sticking around to see what happens with this guy I've basically known all my life just hope it's not too awkward

I’m having a gin - can I still join wine night?

I think it will be completely reasonable for you to say to him that if anything like this happens again, you would appreciate just a quick message to say “hey, this has happened, I’ll message you when I can”.
It’s important to communicate and establish boundaries. Hopefully he’ll get in touch soon and have a valid reason for disappearing 🖤

Sending love @HelloStereo - I'm sure it'll be fine! It's natural to fear the worst I think but it's almost NEVER what you're imagining.

Anywayyyyy I'm a wine down, and just writing a little bit of erotic fiction for the guy I'm seeing. He didn't ask me to do it but it's something I enjoy and he bloody loves it.

BUT it got me thinking of a question to start wine night off - what's the weirdest thing someone's asked you to do for/during sex?

Honestly think it must have been a repressed memory or something but today I suddenly remembered that an ex of mine asked me a couple of times at the heat of the moment to bark like a dog. And I did it 😳🥴

I hope so. And thank you as sometimes I am unsure of what is reasonable or not. I've not known him for long I know but for him to go completely off radar I think owes some sort of warning?

Thank you. You know it's not even like I am thinking he is avoiding me. I genuinely think something might have happened because you don't quit your WhatsApp to avoid one person, you'd just block them.

Good luck with your erotic fiction. I am five beers down now 🤣. The oddest thing someone has requested has been to see me showering or to film it 😯

Yep, 100% agree. It's important to establish boundaries and let him know what is and isn't acceptable to you. He can take it or leave it then. Keep us posted @HelloStereo

With men - it’s so hard to tell! They just disappear and think it’s okay, but I always try to remember that men and women deal with situations/feelings very differently.
I think that’s why it’s important you tell him how you feel and what you expect from him - then he can either respect that or be a fool (and you can ditch him!)
