I always worried the girls were being brought up not to know the value of money and not to be able to budget. Maybe they would have been better instead of doing no budget setting one and then you can get whatever you like within that, as in if you get one thing more expensive then you compromise elsewhere.
You're right though. If you’re wearing a £900 bag like Kaci was then debating the price of a ruler seems strange but then it seems like Sarah was the only one acknowledging the prices or looking to see if there was anything better value. If that was me they would have had a budget of maybe £50 which is more than enough to get stationary and things from WHSmith’s and I think Grace and Kaci would have actually been looking at prices and working out if they could afford to get everything they wanted. It would have been more fair that way too. Budgeting is a way of life for many people.

The girls go to Spain all the time! Joel's dad/family own a holiday home there and have done for years, so I assume its just a normal thing for them. Joel's nephew was in their last video at the amusement park and I think he lives in Spain usually so they've probably gone back with his sister for a few weeks.

Tbh, Sarah was in the right in the stationary video and was the only one speaking some sense into the girls. Why would you pick up only one ruler instead of the whole kit where you get a ruler, pencil etc for the same price. More for your money and even if you dont need it then, you will need it down the line. Just makes logical sense. I think Joel is the one who encourages the kids to get whatever they want and Sarah is the rational one who steps in.

Kaci is drinking a pornstar martini. I know we all drank before 18 but she’s got young kids that look up to her.

yeah exactly, i think sarah is more rational because she didn't grow up in a well-off household
however, my family are very well off but my parents always encouraged us to save and not buy irrational things from a young age, yes we have designer stuff but we also got our school supplies and stationery from Tesco and often bought things which were in the sale, just because you have money why waste it??
i feel like joel is trying to be more a friend than a parent and that probably wont bode well in the future
i really like dadvgirls btw this is just something that really grates me how careless they are teaching their children to be with money

She’s 16. I looked it up and ‘ In Spain, the national law minimum purchasing and drinking age for alcohol is 16.’

Even if she were in England, it would be legal with a meal, which she’s probably had.

I got all my daughters stationary from poundland yesterday, pack of 24 biro pens for a pound, binders and folders and absolutely everything they got and mine came up to £17 and if I keep hold of the extra pens and pencils and highlighters and stuff, she will probably be good for next year too! I went to the Kingston poundland also, they only had to walk 5 minutes out of the Bental centre and they would of been at poundland 🤣

I can understand why Sarah was getting annoyed, the amount of stationary the girls get every year is ridiculous and I doubt they need everything new, there are probably a few things they could use from last year. Grace deliberately got a more expensive ruler just because it looked better than the other ones... she could have also got some pencils and a rubber for the same price but she refused to get the set because she didn't like the look of it. However she didn't seem to care that kaci got two sets of highlighters and only seemed to get annoyed with Grace which doesn't seem fair at all.

I have a feeling that going to WHSmith is more Joel's idea and Sarah would probably rather go to Tesco!

I think its a real shame how self-conscious Grace is. When ever she makes a decision she always looks for kaci's approval and wants to know what the other kids are going to be getting or wearing at school. Kaci told Joel it would be embarrassing if Grace got a white board and a few years ago she told Grace not to get a lunch box.

I feel like sometimes Grace doesn't get the things she likes just because she thinks she will be judged.
First time I saw Sarah and the girls look at prices and budgeting👏👏👏👏 Also Grace choose to use a bag she already owned and not buy a new one.

Sarah was just being really harsh to her but then really nice to Kaci while they shopped for supplies
I think Kaci was being smart with what she got I actually get the feeling Grace is going to be abit of a wild child she was picking up everything.

I’m so confused. They have this new ‘extra channel’ but today they just uploaded on there instead of their main channel, so how is this ‘extra’ content- it’s just Friday’s usual video on another channel surely?

I came here to say exactly that 😀They’re just spreading out their uploads surely on different channels. I don’t see the point. If it was going to be a Vlog channel or a specific type of video then it would make more sense but it’s not extra if they don’t upload on their main channel.
A lot of creators eventually stop uploading on more than one channel, as videos get more views on one than another etc.

I literally can’t express myself 😂 her grades were great considering the circumstances and GCSEs are just the stepping stone for a levels!

I really don't understand why they have made another channel.

They can't even stick to an upload schedule on their main channel so how are they going to manage to create content for two.

Did anyone else notice that Joel said Chloe didn't want to 'Be big' because she would have to do things like give up her bottle!

She is 3 and a half surely they are just making things worse by allowing her to continue drinking from a baby bottle? Would it not be best to get rid of it before the baby comes along.

How can they expect her to 'Be big' when they are treating her like a baby still by allowing her to drink from a bottle.

It makes no sense.

I think they’ve probably just chilled out the more kids they have and now they’re not in a rush for Chloe to grow up.

I’ve heard it’s quite common for the first and second child to almost be waiting for them to do the next thing and to be very rigid with doing certain things at certain ages. I know one family whose first daughter was in a toddler bed at 14 months and now with their fourth are not bothered about when she goes into a bed, as it made their life very difficult when she wouldn’t stay in bed and didn’t properly understand etc.

In saying that though the difference in 3 year olds is massive. Some get picked up from school and go straight into buggies with dummies in and that to me is too much.

I think having Sophie as well who had delayed milestones maybe made them see that having an older child still doing things like having a dummy isn’t a bad thing.

If the bottle is just a night time thing then that’s one thing but if it’s all day then it’s too much as she needs to be used to not having it for preschool etc.
