No I think that it would be fresher in her mind nearer to the time. You forget 3-4 months is a long time in a toddler’s life. She won’t remember it or vaguely.

It’s not THAT far away and it’s probably much smarter to start preparing her now than showing it right before Sarah goes into labor.
Just because it’s a home birth doesn’t mean they’ll let Chloe and sophie watch 🤦‍♀️
Have you come on this thread to argue with everyone. Sophie and Chloe will probably want their Mum if they know she’s there and won’t understand why they’re not being given attention.

No I haven’t but some of you are acting like Joel and Sarah wants to traumatize their kids, they haven’t said anything about letting the younger kids be at the birth. It’s not like it’s hard for them to figure out something, they can leave them with their grandparents etc.

Clearly, Chloe loved watching the home videos of herself as she was asking to watch specific events again and her facial expressions throughout the video really said it all! Its a lovely idea and a good way to introduce the baby gradually as right now the baby is just in the tummy, basically just thought that Chloe can't picture at all yet but by watching the video of herself and the process, she will be more aware when she does meet her baby sister of how to act, how to gently hold her, etc. Chloe was inquisitive and wanted to know what was happening too which is great, her face when Sarah was in pain, you can see her mind working!

I agree I think she got a lot from it but they should do it again. Not necessarily on camera but to keep the memory of what to expect fresh in her mind.

They will spend hours of their time talking about the new baby, the kids will be prepared.

They didn’t mean too much as in graphic and scary for Sophie they meant she gets over excited, and obsessed she doesn’t understand the long wait etc.
How she was with Chloe in the video I’m sure she’ll be just as comforting to this baby.
I think it’s lovely kaci wants to be there, shows how close she is to her mum and siblings.

As I didn’t attend secondary school in the UK and in my country votes were from 2 to 10 being the maximum, are her grades actually okay?

So she got a B in PE, an A in English Literature, C in English Language, Maths & Dance and a low C in History, Science & RS.

A 4 or above is a pass and anything above a 5 is seen as quite good. She passed everything, but these are teacher assessed grades as obviously formal exams were cancelled again this year

I finished school a while ago so this grading system is different but apparently a 7 is an A and 5 is in between and B and C. So basically she got predominantly b/cs. shes got below average (when i was at school a C was frowned upon) but i guess thats good for her.

Just wanted to add I finished school with a minimum of 12 gcses as did majority of the cohort, ive noticed a lot of kids who don't even do 10 now ... things really have changed

With the closure of the schools I think all the kids have done really well. They had the worry of catching COVID or family members getting it, not being able to go out and socialise with friends. Some children need to be in a proper class as distractions at home or violence in the home seriously impacts their being able to learn at home. People are saying that marks are higher this year because teachers assessed them, so what, every child should be proud of themselves no matter what grade they got.
