Coronavirus Disease Outbreak COVID-19 #117

Who knows.

From the rest of her thread. What was changed was the description of item from "covid test kits to medical", but searching the code still brings up covid test kits.

[...]
Cached results have a habit of sitting around if there's nothing to trigger a refresh - and since the search results screen grab from that thread was within a day or so of the initial spotting of the error I'm not especially surprised if the listing was out of date.

The OECD information covers the overall supply of stuff that was (whether exclusively or also) used for covid-19 and therefore labelled as 'covid-19 gear'.
That said, someone really should have added a footnote to clarify this and I'd definitely expect better from a big organisation.

Does anyone still have faith or believe in the WHO anymore?

MEASLES!!! Fact-checking the WHO.

The WHO is claiming a 30-fold increase in measles cases in its European Region, and it’s blaming missed vaccinations during the pandemic - and hence, unvaccinated children - for the rise, BUT, in the first TWO MONTHS of 2019 (long before anyone heard of covid 19) there were more measles cases and more measles deaths than there were in all of 2023, according to their own data. And in 2018, the measles cases in the same European Region were nearly triple the number of cases in 2023.
And now we know that the bulk of those measles cases and (presumably) deaths (at least in 2018 and 2019) have occurred in Ukraine. This should come as no shock to anyone.

Maybe the Ukrainians have brought everyone a little present with them, I know HIV is rampant there too, have they health screened them before placing them in peoples homes 🤔

With all the measles reporting- thank goodness there are new measles patches coming out.

Third time reposting this same bit of info. It was the same back in September and July they were going on about the London outbreak.

Then it was 128 cases from a population of approx 7.8 million children. (under the age of 18).

Despite the ANTI VAX rhetoric : MMR vaccine uptake has stayed roughly the same: "The uptake for the first dose of the MMR vaccine in children aged 2 years in England is 85.6% (1), and uptake of 2 MMR doses at age 5 years is 85.5%."

"A new UKHSA assessment of the risk of measles resurgence in the UK shows that the risk of a large measles epidemic outside of London is considered low (2). Models suggest, however, that an outbreak of between 40,000 and 160,000 cases could occur in London where vaccine uptake has consistently been lower than the rest of the UK ." 🤡

Stop letting Neil Ferguson loose with the calculator again.

How many cases are there now and are they higher than 2013 numbers?

Is there a joint central UK for case numbers?

Create a panic and now everyone's demanding a vaccine, with all the entitlement of first world country.

All they're going to succeed in doing is making hesitant parents suspicious with all this OTT reporting, finger pointing, bullying and exaggerating figures, hospital admissions, deaths etc.
If it's not required by law then some parents will decide not to and if the state wants to keep nannying and wants 100% uptake then fgs just make it a requirement! Though we all know how that ends!

I’ve had it , like many others my age, I wonder did our immunity protect the generation after but that’s now waining in this generation? Or is it simply vaccine avoidance to blame?

Apparently some people want to make vaccination a school requirement .

I'd imagine it'll be the same people who wanted to keep healthy children away from schools during COVID

"MOST people seem to have moved on from Covid-19. They may occasionally refer to the ‘pandemic’, but they’d rather put it in the back of their minds. So it’s important that we critical thinkers don’t let the truth be buried by an official narrative that a deadly disease struck, radical interventions were necessary and then a miraculous vaccine saved millions of lives. "

"Individual care, to which taxpaying citizens believe they are entitled, was replaced by Nazi-style viral hygiene. Petty dictators in matrons’ uniform had never enjoyed so much power: no mask, no shift. The rationale for covid rules was never therapeutic, but exertion of totalitarian authority. "

"The book What the Nurses Saw by Ken McCarthy features interviews with nurses who worked in the killing fields of US hospitals. An army veteran, Erin Marie Olszewski qualified and practised as a nurse in Florida. When New York became the American epicentre of Covid-19, she answered the urgent call for nurses from the city authorities. On arrival Olszewski was surprised to be boarded in a luxury hotel, having no work assigned but paid $10,000 weekly by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Clearly the crisis was not as bad as portrayed on the news.
Eventually Olszeswki was posted to a large public hospital, to find doctors and nurses following extraordinary and harmful protocols. Rather than a last resort, intubation to breathing machines was primary treatment. Andrew Cuomo, governor of New York, acted as medical dictator, ordering 30,000 ventilators. As paycheck employees following administrative policy, doctors abandoned their Hippocratic Oath, mistreating patients who walked into hospital but left via the morgue. Consent, so fundamental to healthcare, was reduced to doctors telling patients that their only chance of survival was mechanical ventilation."

"According to Kimberley Overton, a nurse in Nashville, nurses were told not to spend time near patients’ beds to reduce spread of the virus, despite their full exposure in wards dedicated to covid cases. This was unnecessary cruelty. Patients were deliberately isolated, deprived of nutrition and water (drips were regarded as sufficient fluid intake), and communication was impossible with nurses covered head-to-toe in PPE."

Wtf 😫
It was anti healthcare. A load of tyrants playing God.

New paper out:

To be expeditious, the coordinators of Pfizer and Moderna trials prioritized symptomatic COVID-19 risk reduction over severe AEs and mortality concerns. In retrospect, this was a grave misstep. Historical accounts bear witness to instances where vaccines were prematurely introduced to the market under immense pressure, only to reveal disabling or even fatal AEs later on.

Political and financial incentives may have played a key role in undermining the scientific evaluation process leading up to the EUA. Lalani and colleagues documented the major investments made by the US government well before authorization [18].

Even prior to the pandemic, the US National Institutes of Health invested $116 million (35%) in mRNA vaccine technology, the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) had invested $148 million (44%), while the Department of Defense (DOD) contributed $72 million (21%) to mRNA vaccine development. BARDA and the DOD also collaborated closely in the co-development of Moderna’s mRNA vaccine, dedicating over $18 billion, which included guaranteed vaccine purchases [18]. This entailed pre-purchasing hundreds of millions of mRNA vaccine doses, alongside direct financial support for the clinical trials and the expansion of Moderna’s manufacturing capabilities

Concerns about inadequate safety testing extend beyond the usual regulatory approval standards and practices. Although we employ the terms "vaccine" and "vaccination" throughout this paper, the COVID-19 mRNA products are also accurately termed gene therapy products (GTPs) because, in essence, this was a case of GTP technology being applied to vaccination [21].

Due to the GTPs’ reclassification as vaccines, none of their components have been thoroughly evaluated for safety. The main concern, in a nutshell, is that the COVID-19 mRNA products may transform body cells into viral protein factories that have no off-switch (i.e., no built-in mechanism to stop or regulate such proliferation), with the spike protein (S-protein) being generated for prolonged periods, causing chronic, systemic inflammation and immune dysfunction [25,26].

My original reasons for declining. Emphasis on point 6.

Just glad other experts are talking and seeing it now too.

The BBC was allowed to “misrepresent” the risk posed by Covid to most people to boost public support for lockdown, the UK Covid Inquiry has heard.

Prof Mark Woolhouse, an eminent epidemiologist and government adviser, lambasted the corporation for having “repeatedly reported rare deaths or illnesses among healthy adults as if they were the norm”.

He said this created the “misleading impression” among BBC News viewers at the start of the pandemic that “we are all at risk” and “the virus does not discriminate”.

In reality, he said it was known at the time that the risk of dying from Covid was 10,000 times higher in the over-75s than the under-15s.

But Prof Woolhouse told the inquiry the BBC did not correct its reporting, saying: “I suspect this misinformation was allowed to stand throughout 2020 because it provided a justification for locking down the entire population.”

Maddie De Garay in the news. The mother must be tormented that she herself signed her three kids up. Her mother was also surprised she got no help from the trial doctors.

Hackney, Ealing and Lambeth were among the boroughs with the highest number of infections.
