Sorry ITDH, keep missing your posts -
What was he in court for? was this the breach of his sex offender registry conditions?
It may have been a closed or restricted hearing (doubt it though cos it’s just a breach of terms…unless it’s a breach of some of the more sinister ones 😬) but as Asterix said, it would still be listed. When are this pair due back in court for the trial? I think if I was his counsel I’d have got the breach listed for the same day as the trial, just deal with it before the trial judge.
Yes it was failure to comply with notification requirements of the SO register.

Their trial was supposed to be 2/1, then 15/1, (pushed because he refused to appear for his SO one on 3/1) now it looks like 22/1 BUT I’m sure I read 31/1 earlier, I can’t find it now though.

I don’t even have words for this pos couple. She had so many advantages in life and threw them all away, MH issues isn’t an excuse, with her resources she could have sought help at any time. So glad her alleged other kids are in safety.
I do kind of agree with this although it doesn't sit comfortably with me. There are birth parents out there that were neglected and abused themselves. They did not break the cycle and I have empathy with them. They basically didn't stand a chance. I'd imagine M falls into this category (allegedly don't come for me I don't know him it's just my opinion)
Then there is C who, it is likely (allegedly don't come for me I don't know her it's my opinion) to have had all the privilege money could buy and it's really hard to emphasise with her.

No point, just a question!

Unfortunate however that the post mortem won't show whether he was responsible for finally murdering the child, especially when it became sick and a hindrance to his freedom and a detraction from Constance's unfaltering adoration...

It’s hard sometimes online so I may well have misunderstood, but I read your post as if you know about the baby having an illness/being unwell, rather than something like (amongst other things) SIDS or an injury, or hypothermia overnight. [/endQuote]
No...just looking at how he may have reacted given his history of violence..maybe should use the word 'if' instead of 'when'..🤣

Yes but then once you’re under a consultant you stay under them, so she could (in theory) have been referred initially in 2014/2015 before she met MG and still be under the same consultant psych. You wouldn’t generally book yourself in to a private psychiatrist without a GP referral either I don’t think.
You can self refer to a private psychiatrist or private inpatient care.

Seriously that's ridiculous they should make him in a wheel chair!!! Surely that won't wash twice. Lets hope not.
I think he’s refused to appear twice already (anyone correct me if I’m wrong!)
The judge said they would go ahead without him if need be. This is the sex offender register charge only though.

Plus when he and CM were last in court together he sacked his legal team.

I’ve said this all along, and I’ve been shot down for it more times than I can count.
They obviously did because they could have gone to a hospital when she was born. No newborn stands any chance of survival in Feb with no proper clothes, hygiene or shelter.

True and I’ve just read about the car, for some reason I thought it was completely burnt out and all their stuff was burnt…except the placenta and her passport, but it seems that they assessed the placenta as one or two days old. Why would you keep it? A very “earth mother” friend of a friend of mine has recently given birth and she had a “placenta remedy”, maybe Constance was planning on something like that 🤢 Apologies for anyone who is offended by my 🤢 but the most scary thing about giving birth for me (and my husband) was seeing the placenta…put that right in the bin. I certainly wouldn’t be carrying it around for 2 days.

Yes it’s a weird thing to keep, unless she had only just given birth in the car then I wonder if she was doing a lotus birth and waiting for the placenta to detach naturally rather than cutting the cord

Oh that’s interesting- so it was a plea and trial hearing so they’ve either “not indicated” a plea, which means it will be assumed not guilty or one of them doesn’t have counsel - we know which one this is. So time has been given to get counsel sorted and then a plea date for august. Trial prep will always happen as it has to to ensure dates are available. The shit bit is that they will be held on remand which is nicer/easier than prison and this time served is take off their sentence 😒
Is remand a different place to a normal prison? I didn't realise this.

It’s so scary too because as others have said - had that car not been found in flames with a placenta in it then there arguably may not have ever been a search for them and baby. Terrifying.
CM’s passport was found in the car too, which obviously meant a rapid identification. Perhaps if that hadn’t been left they wouldn’t have found them, or, at the least, it would have taken longer.
If they were taking drugs they could have accessed them between September and the beginning of January, without too much trouble, I imagine, but I don’t really know. I don’t think it’s likely that only one of them was taking drugs, not impossible, but not usual. MG looked terrible when he was being escorted to court.
What were all the burner phones and sims for?

I don’t know all the details of the case but I have a niggling suspicion they will get a much lesser sentence than what I put above. I imagine they will plead guilty to 1 2 3 and NG to 4 & 5 - I don’t imagine it would be considered in the public interest to run a trial on 4 & 5 and CPS will accept this. Obviously I could be talking absolute nonsense and there might be some really serious aggravating factors that make this more serious in category and sentencing terms.
Just out of curiosity, if that scenario you’re expecting plays out, how will this effect their ability to have children in the future?
It’s just a horrible tragic case all round, but I can’t see these two staying away from each other or not trying to have more children when they’re both out again.

Edit: by ‘have’ I mean have access to/custody of

Agree with your post but don't think that's right about how they met. Someone did mention an art class on this thread but that's the only reference I can find, no mention of it in any media. Around that time on the thread people were getting mixed up because she met him while she was doing an acting course but there's no indication that he was doing the acting course as well (very doubtful as it would probably have been very expensive and privately funded)

The only thing that's been reported in the media is that they met when he was working as a labourer near where she lived in London when she was a drama student - e.g. The 54 day hunt for runaway couple Constance Marten and Mark Gordon | Daily Mail Online

Sources say Ms Marten and Mr Gordon had been living an isolated life since meeting in 2016 in London.
The then-drama student Ms Marten had started cutting off ties with family and friends.
It is not clear how they met, but Mr Gordon is believed to have lived locally to her and worked as a labourer.

I'm still struggling to picture the meet-cute though 🤯
Thanks for the correction and information. I didn’t know he worked as a labourer. Maybe not the best job but still enough to help pull him out the myre. I wonder what his workmates, if he had any, thought of him?
Perhaps we’ll never know how they actually met.
