I've had 'flu twice in my 62 years of life. The first time I was a teenager and off school and work for 10 days. The second time, in my 50s, I ended up with pneumonia. The only time I've felt sicker was when I had Covid from Christmas 2019 until February 2020 - well, I'm not sure the actual Covid lasted that long but I ended up with Pneumonia again, which took ages to shift.
The Oaf is a fraud when it comes to her health. That or a hypochondriac. Maybe both. Even though daughter and I both had Covid at the same time, we made sure either or both of us was around to make granddaughter's Christmas was as good as we could - until we became too ill to get out of bed (thankfully this didn't happen to us both at the same time).
If I was Jim or her kids I'd be sick to the back teeth of her taking to her bed for something and nothing. What a pain she must be to live with. Granted, she has been a working mum, but I get the impression her every whim is probably catered for - at home, but probably also in the workplace. I can just imagine her 'creative Director' or whatever, being despatched to buy ultra soft Kleenex and lemsips for her
