lol someone asking a valid question is the reason why poverty exists in this country 😂 forget thousands of years of context, forget our current government’s policies, forget Sociology as a whole, our Carlz of the Thicko Salty Garden has it covered!

So I guess it's just the word 'beg' squig has an issue with and can't see why having a battle royale over some tesco vouchers and a bag of crap, sorry, food parcel, might name people feel uncomfortable.

Has Carly clarified if it's club card vouchers?

No, but it's a screenshot of the club card app. The points have been cashed into vouchers. They can either be used to take money off a shop or transferred to a reward partner (e.g. Pizza Express, trips out), but either way the T&C's apply where they can only be spent by the Clubcard holder. I suppose you could risk it and book a reward in the holder's name and hope they don't ask for ID. For the vouchers, if they're spent in store I'm 80% sure you need to scan your clubcard to redeem them (but haven't used paper vouchers in forever), and if they're redeemed against an online shop it would need to be ordered through the account.

It’s the classic grifter behaviour isn’t it?
im Carly and I’m a good person. Therefore, everything I do is good. I’m helping people FOR FREE.
Ask a question of what I’m doing and you, you’re negative. You’re not good in fact you’re everything that’s wrong with the world. You aren’t helping people by asking questions of me.
Carlz, you’re as dodgy as a dodgem car! you waste charitable donations instead of feeding people with them. You’re unreliable, you don’t treat people with dignity and you’re actually selfish

A bleeping QUARTER OF A bleeping MILLION POUNDS IN THE bleeping BANK and this thick bleeping grifter makes it a contest dragging on for a week over who should get a hundred quid in vouchers. duck THIS ABSOLUTE bleeping bleep.

Strictly Come Chancer.

There is a whiff of the ‘deserving poor’ about the voucher nominations, that I don’t like.

I’ve grown so disgusted by this woman and her mismanagement of both the money, and basic GDPR that I’ve just contacted Harlow council to ask where I can submit an official complaint. Running a service like this via a public Facebook page is degrading and just so wrong. People are tripping over themselves to volunteer and saint thicko blocks this at every turn. Making those in need beg for scraps like some Victorian workhouse boss boils my piss. I’m done with watching this vile tit show play out. Having our Wayne and the kids judge how deserving of a handout some poor sod is when she has £250,000 in her bank was the last straw.

Been dipping in and out of this thread but it seems to be picking up a bit now... has she actually done ANYTHING with the donated money, to date?

The paperwork has, ostensibly, been put in to convert the private business to a CIC. This was put in a while ago (someone can jog my memory) and nothing has happened, although gov.uk guidance says it'll be sorted in 5 working days. You can't question this though as that's being negative and causing food poverty.

She’s lost some money due to her horrible personality and extreme ignorance.

That's it, that's why it was really bothering me and I couldn't work out why. People will be telling their or their friends' tales of destitution basically and children will be judging if they're worthy enough to receive a tiny scrap of charity.

Yummers. Out of date beansprouts, coffee you need a specialist machine to use, probably out of date guacamole, stale croissants. All served on a plastic bread crate that appears to be resting on the ground.

When I did olio there was rules about how you store the donated food, how quick to give it out, etc. I guess Tesco zero waste don’t give a f**k.

People who donated thought they were giving money to a charity allotment. But it looks like the council aren't going to give her the allotments and there is no charity anyway. She has no business bank account. So where is the money?

She has her back garden that she turned into an allotment.

The salt allotment was one of the council ones that she was trying to lease from them. Have no idea on what basis she is/was using it.
So the salted allotment she did the crying post over wasn't in her name or use by her at the time?!

I'm incredibly intrigued by Carly and Sarah VJay, for different reasons. But both can't face criticism. A bit like our Jackie.

The way Carly assumes leaving some manky beansprouts and coffee pods fOr FrEe makes her some angel of the povs is disgusting.

The allotments in Harlow had fallen into disuse. The allotment part of her project is basically a copy of this more successful one: https://www.harlow.gov.uk/news/potter-street-allotment-handed-over-local-community One of trustees from this group tried to help her on the Facebook page but was insulted off. The council gave that group a lease.

I think the council allowed both groups to use the allotments temporarily for FREE, perhaps in exchange for having to deal with all the overgrowth.

Note that the other group set up as a charity. https://register-of-charities.charitycommission.gov.uk/charity-details/?regid=1194187&subid=0 Note how meagre their income and expenditure are in comparison, but all is there for the world to see. Proper accountability. Unlike the mystery of what she has done with £250k.
