I liked it when the guy who also lives in Harlow and had successfully set up and was running a charity piped up. She hounded him out of the group.

She was saying right up to March 2023 that she was in the process of becoming a charity. She then switched to saying she was going to apply to become a CIC in April. She rejected becoming a charity because she would have to give up some control. With a CIC she can be the only director.
Update on GFM in May:
She didn't actually set up a CIC at all. She set up a for-profit private limited company. Was that advised?! And she had accountants and solicitors in April? I thought she was doing it all herself then? "Whiskers" didn't come on the scene until recently.
She's now getting caught out by her own words.
ETA: In April she had already decided she was going to go down the CIC route before speaking to a solicitor.
The decision to not become a charity was because she didn't want to give up control, regardless of tax efficiency concerns.

So if she didn't set up as a CIC, and can't work on the allotments as the council won't allow it, then what is her plan?
