Oh that counts for sure. I think it's more when you use half a leek in a sauce (as she plans) or half an onion in an entire soup - that doesn't count as one of your five a day because split across portions of the entire meal, it's very little of that vegI make leek soup, and use leeks as a side on a roast (although cheese does get involved there, but it's still a portion of veg surely)
