I was in Aldi today. All your talk about Mighty Peas - has anyone steamed them in an (old fashioned!) steamer on the hob, we don't have a microwave? I feel like I am missing out on a culinary treat.

Couple more Lidl recommendations. Bought their Malibu knock off and boyfriend is having it tonight with juice and says it’s nice. Less alcoholic than Malibu but only £4.99 for the bottle!

Also their version of Percy Pigs are lush!! We both felt they were better than M&S

LOVE this thread, have been silently following for a week or so!!

have been lucky enough to get the mighty peas 😍😍😍 but no luck finding the mochi, except for the coconut flavour which I wouldn’t like 😭

Has anyone tried the Big Mac knock off?? I saw they do the nuggets and hash browns too.
We tried one, it wasn’t great wont be buying again

Had the no meat hotdogs tonight with the brioche finger rolls. Really good. Had them with French’s classic yellow mustard that Aldi had for 99p.
On another note - has anyone tried this?

I think Aldi has been reading here, or me reading this thread has somehow manifested to the Aldi universe... my branch FINALLY got the sweety drop peppers after weeks of me looking for them, thank you Tattle! 😂

Planned to have mighty peas with my dinner today, was in aldi but didn't get any as we have a small freezer and I was sure there was another bag left. Nope, we actually finished it last week, had to have normal peas. Absolutely gutted.

Got aldi garlic peri peri sauce and it's very similar to nandos one and cheaper so at least that softened the blow.

I remembered to look for them today and had them with salad at lunch 👍. Forgot to look for the mochi though 👎.

Finally got to aldi to get my haul!

Got the sweety drop peppers, pretzel chocolate, lime tortillas, fakey fibre one popcorn bars and those chunky chocolate biscuit bars.

Also got some mighty peas, had them for tea omg amazing who thought frozen peas could be so delish.

Has anyone tried the limoncello tiramisu pots? Sooooooo tasty would highly recommend!

I buy the Aldi fake Malibu for my nearly 17 year old daughter and her friends (shhhhhh). It’s slightly more expensive in Scotland because of minimum pricing.

Went to a new Lidl yesterday (slightly further afield) and it's about twice the size of my usual. Was almost overwhelming because I had less than half an hour before they shut 😅 Ended up grabbing the most random assortment of items based on what I'd never seen before 😂

None of their Asia range was in stock (but knew that was likely the case by this point in the week) but did finally manage to get their version of Old Mout to try! 😊 Not sure if I'm willing to add an extra 10 minutes each way to my trip every time but definitely want to go back at some point and do a proper shop.
