So annoying - the French lentils are gone for months now and there are only milk choc buttons at my Aldi and I only eat dark choc. The Mosur Roth dark choc bars are nice though.Half successful shop, stocked up on some faves. But still no sign of the peas or mochi in my local Aldi (nore gaps where they had been)

Well, I’ll tell you what it isn’t- it’s not thick, heavy, night cream-like. It’s light and fresh and sinks right in. I like a very light day cream so this is very nice - non-comodegenic texture. It doesn’t have spf, though, so you need an spf primer underneath your foundation or over the day cream. A lovely primer is Sculpted by Aimee Connolly Beauty Base - it’s a highlighting primer with a whopping spf 30 - I absolutely love it.Ooo I bought the face mask to match that yesterday...interested to see what it’s like

Happy BirthdayIt was my birthday today. I'm considered too old for presents for the most part so was a pleasant surprise to be notified about my free cookie from the Lidl Plus app
I love them as a side with lamb and a beetroot and goats cheese salad or the minty pea salad described above. I also used to add them to casseroles during the winter. Alas, no more.
I like French lentils (are they Puy lentils) with roasted vegetables and if the lentils are hot, stir in some creme fraiche, I do that when I cook them from scratch. Not tried the already cooked ones mentioned.
omg this looks amazing but I cannot bring myself to buy this, living alone and having this in the cupboard would be a recipe for disaster!!!

I have it on good authority that aldi are hot on what sells and what doesn't in every store. Hence why some stores stock different things to others. It's why you see 2 different flavours/varieties on the shelf where one has plenty and the other only a couple of itemsHalf successful shop, stocked up on some faves. I used to get a click and collect order from Asda and then sometimes top up at Aldi for a variety, but as of last week I’ve started doing my main shop at Aldi. It’s been the first week for a while that I’ve not actually had to go out and do a top up, because they had everything I was hoping to get from there and good dates.
I’m actually excited to go and do the shop again in a couple of days which is quite sad really

I’m only on page 4 but love this thread . I lived in Germany 25 years ago and Aldi and Lidl were next door to each other - bliss !
My closet shop is a Lidl and I buy most foods from there, I feel weirded out going to a big supermarket now, so much ready made stuff
the creamy yoghurts from both stores with various fruits chopped up and nuts from Lidl are my breakfast staple .

Thank god it's not just me. I like mochi itself, but not these mochi ice creams. Not good.
Errr 2 packs of peas, some of the vegan salted caramel fake magnums, a packet of the leo lions (percy pigs) packet of those salt and chardonnay vinegar crisps, sour dough, some of the salted caramel chocolate, the sweety drop peppers, the chicken and mango pizzaI assume the £46 was just on the peas?
