I can’t be the only one who finds a man-child taking his mom to Hawaii for a week creepy? Sure if she was single/ widowed etc and his family was going bring mom along but just mommy and baby boy …… ick

It's the sad life he's made for himself. Just a few years ago his mom was there with his dad for their anniversary. Fast forward and now she's accompanying her 50-yar-old manchild almost out of pity because who else would he take to Hawaii? Even though we joke, Chey obviously didn't stand for any bullshit like Daphne going with him. He's cultivated this life for himself, now he has to live it.

I don't necessarily find it weird at face value that he took his mom on a trip, but the way he keeps reiterating that they are goin to have "mom and son" time, and it's a "mom and son" trip gives me the ick something fierce. It comes off very Oedipal.

I mean, he's a pissy witch of a manchild for sure.
But I can't say I necessarily find treating his mom to the experience of Aulani to be strange - at least at face value like @Dorothy_Zbornak said.

(we're presuming he's not making her pay for damn thing...I hope)

However, what I DO find distasteful is that the jackass can't take a bleeping week off of filming (or YT, in general) to have the experience.

(we all know he's not "broke," right? in his own words)

I'd actually have more respect for him (at least, based off the pretty much none I have left for him) if he told everyone something like -

"I'm going to be offline for this week = no vlogs. Taking a trip with my mom and just going to enjoy her and the time we have together without the camera and without vlogging it."

Can he still record tit for PoStERitY's sake? Sure. But keep it private.

Don't monetize your own mother, David. 🙄

He has to show it to write off the monthly maintenance fees he's paying for the next 40 years right? And all the other incidental expenses I'm sure he writes off as well.

Is it his dad's turn to go next year? If he is so rich why not take both of them with him?

Yeah, that's true.

But if he can't take a week off to just be present with his mom without the bleeping camera for monetization purposes and subsequent write offs, then he may need to rethink his priorities in life.

I mean, what's eventually on the horizon here? Vlogging and monetizing his parents' funerals too?

First off, let's go back to yesterday when Adam said he did no research. Except now he's got a list of things they want to do:

Today Adam does his intro standing on the balcony of Aulani and still initially refuses to say the name, just "my hotel", then in the next breath he says "Disney's Aulani", as if he had been keeping a secret, when in reality he announced it:
  • back when he bought the DVC points
  • back when he announced he was going to Hawaii this year
  • several times over the summer
His big unveil of the view from the balcony was this 😂😂😂. Amazing camera you got there, Adam

1695838678919.png

He then gives us a low-voice, poorly lit tour of the room (except the bedroom where mom is still sleeping). Adam's sleeping on the pull out couch in the 1 bedroom villa. We then see how AMAZED he is that his magic band opens the room door, it's like....MAGIC! He's been to a lot of DVC resorts and the Magic Band opens the door at pretty much every one, but he needs to highlight it in this video.

Back to the balcony so he can point out a few things. He points to the "volcano" in the center and says "a volcano right here, man-made".

1695844610184.png

Thanks Adam, everyone was wondering. Then he walks around the resort and keeps saying "Look, my Magic Band is giving me a Magic Moment" (which means it buzzes and lights up, hooray!).

He's really stressing the whole "I'll be enjoying this place on this visit and for many more visits. I am a DVC member and I bought points here."

Adam is also not 100% sure which island he's on 😂

You can tell he never does stuff like this, and he's not very good at being a tour guide for a resort. It's time to just walk around the resort and read every sign out loud. This entire vlog is essentially a commercial for DVC Aulani.

He then AGAIN starts subtly complaining about his lifestyle, via commenting how wonderful and relieving it is that "I don't have to travel, I don't have to go anywhere, for a week, I don't have to get on a plane." YOU NEVER HAVE TO DO ANY OF THAT STUFF, ADAM. You make your own schedule. You really need to see a therapist and talk about your mental issues. Are you forcing yourself to travel constantly? Or do you like it? I though you couldn't sit still, and always had to be doing something? Could you actually afford this First Class trip for you and your mom if you didn't film it, monetize it, and be able to write a nice chunk of the expenses off when you do your taxes? Or are you not hurting for money and could be doing this trip in your private life instead of monetizing it?

He actually asked a cast member why groceries are so expensive. He says their reply was, "because everything has to be shipped over to the island from the mainland", and then he throws in "at least that's the reason they gave". Yes Adam, who knows what the actual reason is, we're stuck with their reason and no way to figure out in our heads if it's correct or not. I'm sure all the food you're eating at Aulani was produced right there on the island and nothing needs to be shipped over.

He can't just let his lazy river experience be natural, he has to put on the hat (the whole thing seems to be in the shade) and hold himself under the falling water in the cave with an expression of "oh boy, this is crazy, look how much water is pouring on me and I'm not holding myself here at all!"

Did you all know that Commitment Conquers All? (except when that commitment only lasts 50 days and you stop exercising and start eating poorly almost every day)

1695843765794.png

Did Adam already have a GoPro? Or did he invest in a new one (I assume it's a GoPro he's using for the pool/water shots). In any case, it looks better than his regular vlog camera.

It's a good thing Adam knows how to relax and not obsess about any aspect of his vacation: "I'm gonna keep my daily pool wristbands on all week and see how many I can fit"

He's so whacked out in the head that he actually tries to describe and narrate the sunset! It's a sunset, people know what they are looking at, it speaks for itself!

This trip can be summed up by this statement from Adam: "It's a man-made paradise". Yes, he has traveled to a place known as a natural paradise, but he's nestled himself into the Disney man-made paradise within the natural paradise.

First off, a near 50-year-old man getting giddy about "Magic Moments" on his MagicBand... is... strange.

But I cannot get over the fact that he couldn't use his brain to figure out why things (e.g., food) are more expensive there. 🤦‍♀️

I mean, c'mon, David. You can't be that stupid, can you?

Don't answer that.

WTAF is that thing on his head? Must think he's at South Walton or Destin...
He plans to go there every year until he's dead  , so I guess he is concerned about his health and wants to make sure he doesn't get too much sun. Or maybe his sudden concern with sun protection has to do with the mark on the end of his nose? Maybe a skin issue?

The best part is he said it like he doesn't trust the answer, like "you can't just take the cast members at their word, there could be some underlying conspiracy boosting these prices"

Please, don't. I was eating a protein bar when someone mentioned David's alleged penis. I almost upchucked my protein bar. Please don't.

You can store up DVC points right? For like 18 months or 2 years? So he doesn't have to go there every year. He could store or bank or whatever the term is the points and rent a bigger place or stay longer every 2 years right? Oh but wait back to those pesky tax write-offs has to show it on camera every year to write it off

I skipped through most of the vlog, especially anything with Adam shirtless, but I did hear him describe the hot tub as “the greatest thing he’s even seen in his life.” 😐

How fortuitous David showed up with his channel when he did, right when about 60,000 weirdos around the world needed to watch a manbaby squander his money on a daily basis. It's like, manchild porn or something. The questionable "tax deduction" crap really grinds my gears. The tax forms allow certain expenses only, I don't see how you can declare every receipt from a vacation as a valid deductible expense. And also on YT, I saw a guy lose money in a Las Vegas slot machine and say, yeah, I can just right that off my taxes 'cause I'm making a video about it. I say NO, no you can't. That's not how it works! Aargh. I wish I had better insight into all the ins and outs of the US tax codes but I have never wanted to join the ranks of tax cheaters so it hasn't been of interest to me until blatant tax dodgers start flexing on YouTube! Sorry, got triggered there for a mo.

Didn't watch much of the daily offering, blurry sunrise, pool, momma eating ice cream by the pool, nah, a bunch of time wasting crap about a guy I don't like in a place I will never go to.

I'm so glad he clarified it is man-made but awfully presumptuous of him to assume it wasn't woman-made. 🫠

Will he take a dip in the nature-made ocean?

Adam is also not 100% sure which island he's on 😂
And yet didn't he comment to someone else that he was going to Oahu not Maui?

He dipped his sharpie-ridden body into the natural waters on his first day, yes!

Yes, he's not sure of the island (except he is sometimes), he did no research (but has a list of things they want to do), and he claims he's not sure exactly how long they are staying. He needs a break from the stress! (the stress he inflicts upon himself yet still complains about)

I'm also not going to snark on Adam for spending time with his mom. Having his parents still around AND able to get around well enough to travel to Hawaii at his age is a true gift, and it is nice to see that he's not taking that for granted and is in fact cherishing it.

What IS distasteful is the way that he's monetizing the whole thing. Although, at this point I think it's impossible for him to separate his real life from YouTube. Releasing daily videos for 10+ years has caused his private life to meld with his Adam the Woo video persona to the point that they've become inseparable. He never puts the camera down because he's reached a stage where he doesn't know how.
