Slightly off-topic, but manifestation is the biggest bullshit out there. I agree that having a positive mindset can significantly influence how you experience life. But what the Law of Attraction and manifestation suggests is basically that whatever you think, you will bring into your life, which is why you must be in control of your thoughts at all times. Like attracts like, your thoughts become your reality. This also means that those living in poverty, those who go through traumatic experiences, are terminally ill, etc. somehow attracted these things into their lives, they “asked the universe” for these terrible situations.
As someone who suffered from intrusive thoughts for years, I can confidently tell you that no, your thoughts do not become your reality, and it’s a myth that we can or even should be in control of them for every second of our existence. My OCD made me think the worst thoughts, and back then, I thought I would end up somehow manifesting or attracting these horrific scenarios into my life because I couldn’t stop obsessing over them. This only made things worse.
That’s why the whole concept of manifesting/law of attraction is so toxic to me - it simplifies everything down to your own self, completely disregarding any other external factors.

Yeah, I've been wondering about that too. I'm not an Anna fan at all, I often find her super showy and obnoxious. But to put women into categories like that is a very strange thing (I thought only men did that - this is the whore, this is the saint). Anna will be the right partner for someone. We don't know anything about her plans and dreams, or how she is in a relationship. Joey seems to be allowed to just want "something casual" right now, but is still considered a great catch (marriage material, great future dad) who will find his proper wife after sowing his wild oats with unworthy women. I thought we were over these double standards.

It’s not really a “each their own guys!” I know that’s what people tell themselves to justify pretending that reality isn’t reality for the simple reason that they don’t like it. We know there are people who are overly indulged babies and for some embarrassing reason can‘t bear a month without restaurant dining and pubs, but it actually is possible. Gasp! As for the economy, the government is capable of sending relief, it’s not meant to be up to you in the middle of a grave public health crisis wherein flooding the health care system will also gut the economy. But you don’t care about that aspect of the economy, you just want the ‘drink wine and get facials’ part of ~save the economy!~ Before a vaccine, the responsibility on citizens isn’t to say ‘meh fuck it’, it’s to adjust behaviour in order to keep death rates low and prevent the health care system from being overwhelmed. It’s also possible to “live your life” without restaurants.
I also don’t want to be told to get on topic when original posts like that are allowed to stay up and spread misinformation.

After spending the last 3 days in a Niomi induced coma I woke up real fast, my husband just had a zoom meeting with his boss and learned that 14 people were let go, some of them his team members, as the company is doing their usual cuts, I'm soooo sad for them, real life is brutal! We have a mortgage and a kid so like we can't afford not to work like Nims and fake like coach Donkey, that's something she never has to fear. Even the way she can just walk away from a relationship, most people probably cant afford to just get up and get a new apartment etc.. how many stay in bad, abusive relationships because they can't afford to live on their own.
Anyways sorry for rambling but it just pisses me off how easy she has it with basic things and she always takes that for granted. The constant "I dont know where Im going to live" while her wallet is always full and places just open their doors for free for her boils my blood.

Main excitement from last thread was Lordon's amazing birthday surprise for Niomi. He loves surprises! He told her to pack her passport, presumably to whisk her away on a romantic minibreak abroad.
Weeeelll. Not quite. It was a road trip to Kerry. In a hire car. That Niomi had to promote and endorse.
Never mind at least he planned some lovely activities for the weekend. Again. No. Lots of driving, trudging and swimming, so exactly like every other day of the week for her.
But he was probably saving the big romantic gesture for Saturday night. What could it be? Ah well he 'forgot' to make a dinner reservation anywhere so they ended up having a rather unpleasant looking Chinese takeaway on a wall.
But luckily Niomi had never been so happy. She said so extremely unconvincingly as she chewed her way through some grim noodles.

Well, if refusing to harass someone's mom with messages about her legally adult daughter's poor life choices means I'm full of moral backbone, sign me up. It's not about morality, it's just a plain wrong thing to do.
Why? To save Niomi? Bombarding her family with messages isn't going to achieve that. They've already received comments back when Niomi was in Bali and that led to her Shadows and Tribes rant, it certainly didn't do jack shit to break her and Lordon up. Verity knows, everyone knows. How is she to intervene? Drag Niomi by the hair, chain her in a dungeon? I can't imagine she hasn't shared her concerns. She's made it clear Niomi is her little baby and can count on her forever. From here on out, unless there's a direct physical danger to Niomi, it's the grown woman that gets to make her own choices and live with their consequences.
And I want to make it clear, my post isn't an attack on you, but this idea is just not it. The influencers are fair game, but their relatives and friends should be left out of it.
