Omg drives me mad that she puts on films then just goes and does something else. Such a waste of electricity! šŸ˜©

Yes! Also I couldn't believe it last week when she started the bath running then proceeded to go downstairs and tell us all about the contents of that Kate Spade hamper. Next scene features an incredibly full bath. I don't know about anyone else but I have to watch a bath fill (not that I have one at the moment) because my Mum drilled it in to me growing up not to waste water / cause a flood!!

(Also, hi, I'm back after a while. Have been dipping into Zoella here and there, very disappointed to see nothing much has changed with her šŸ˜‚ ).

Also I don't get why one of them doesn't sleep in conservatory with Nala so she doesn't have to run up and down the stairs with an upset tummy.
That's because they barricade themselves in their bedroom at night.

Whatever happened to the ā€œChristmas tree roomā€? She said when she viewed the house she automatically thought that a Christmas tree could go there but then she shoved the guinea pigs there and we never really saw that space again.

I know one of them died and they announced it? Did the other one die too? Wash that hushed up and if so, is that the reason she canā€™t show that space?
Yes the other one died and we only found out about it because they were disposing of the hutch / paraphernalia. The room they were in is where Aldie's piano has gone to die

Those poor piggies shoved off to a corner ever since Nala arrived. šŸ˜¢

She drives me mad always banging on about how early she gets up.

1.A lot of people get up at 5:30/6am and go on to do a full day at work - you're not special Zoe

2. We could all get up at 5:30am if we had naps in the day and fell asleep on the sofa by 8pm every night. You're not full of beans and super productive for waking up early - you've just got a different sleeping pattern?

I think she does it as a way of making herself feel more worthwhile or like there's a purpose to her day. You can get up at whatever time you want - if you're slobbing around all day or doing the odd errand then it really doesn't matter

I feel really disappointed that I've spent so long loving her vlogs and have actually even been re-watching vlogmas videos through the summer lockdown as they were just lovely to watch + then this year I can't make it past the first two mins of the latest video where she's sitting indoors in that stupid hat and instead find myself coming on here to laugh at the content....gutted. is there anyone else that does Vlogmas well to watch instead?
This year, the only Vlogmas I'm enjoying is by a small travel vlogger, heartmybackpack. She lives in Norway and her vlogmas vids are short and sweet and full of gorgeous scenery. She gets super low views but the quality is good.

It bloody annoys me she still gets relatively high views for putting out such boring lazy content, when thereā€™s others who put in effort and creativity but have low views.

Circumventing the rules to dine with Alfieā€™s family šŸ™„

Yuuum aerosolised potential Covid whilst you all chat, squeal and eat.

Just because you can do something, doesnā€™t mean you should.

The fetishizing of her petite size that Zoe craves is so creepy. I personally think being called "little one" by one's boyfriend is super infantilizing but ... guess she finds it cute.
Maybe itā€™s her kink? Perhaps sheā€™s a secret ā€œlittleā€. (No kink shaming but that one gives me the creeps!) šŸ¤®šŸ¤®šŸ¤®

Honestly... I feel like if you pitch a tiny heated tent in your garden and you're all crammed inside it around a tiny table then it's no better than eating indoors. Bringing the inside outside is the silliest loophole... you might as well have just eaten inside, probably carried the same amount of risk.

TBH they are wealthy enough to all go down to boots & get tested, i think the PM said if you have a negative test you're tier free yourself. my work offer weekly tests and if people want them for their families we can take them home so we can have Christmas day together 'safely' not that i'm doing that myself (nothing is worth shoving a swap up my nose for)
But unless you're taking daily COVID tests or isolating after each test and until your next social hangout, how can you know you didn't catch it the second you left the house after receiving your negative test?

I don't think he ever said that, and if he did, that's why you don't trust the words that come out of Boris Johnson's mouth. And they definitely aren't getting weekly tests because they'd make a song and dance about it in the vlogs. (and just to note, people thinking that a negative test on one day means they have the all-clear to mix with people for the rest of the week is partly why we're in this mess)

Their COVID transgressions have been minor compared to most influencers but I just thought the pretence of the tent was funny. Next week they'll be able to legally mix indoors, so I don't know why they couldn't just wait instead of fussing around with a tent which isn't much better than eating indoors together.

He did say it but not in the context of private testing (my mistake), it was for mass testing in the future. I just am surprised they've not been testing or say they have had them in order to save face for how much socialising they are doing.

This was literally never said.
I just corrected myself, he did say with mass testing there might be some easing of rules between people who test negative. that was were my confusion was from.

This is so dangerous and SO untrue.
I donā€™t care if anyone back tracks on saying they didnā€™t mean it, this is unbelievably dangerous and the more people who dispute it and say it is untrue over and over again, the better.

I should probably know this by now but how do affiliate links work? Does that mean itā€™s something sheā€™s been sent how does she have links that she can earn a percentage from? Can anyone just get that? Just asking coz in her description in her videos every item she lists has a star next to it

I didn't say I didn't mean it after, I SAID I WAS WRONG. I misunderstood something and corrected my error. These Youtube idiots might not be able to admit when they are wrong but I can.

There are a variety of different ways affiliates work. Some brands will contact an influencer and ask them to be an affiliate, they are sent a budget to spend and a specific link, this is rare.

Most influencers are members of huge affiliate groups like skimlinks, RStyle (both of which can autogenerate an affiliate link on a website with just a small piece of code - to hundreds of thousands of sites) or even the Amazon affiliates.

To create an affiliate code for eg a dress, she doesnā€™t have to have bought or have been sent the dress, she doesnā€™t have even have to have seen it anywhere outside a website.
She literally finds an item she likes, finds the link for it, if she is linking it on her website, she puts the code in as a hyperlink and the coding from her affiliate agency will auto change it to an affiliate link.
If she is creating it for a link below her video or on an IG swipe up, she just puts the link of the item into the affiliate website (or use a browser extension which takes seconds) and it gives the affiliate link straight away.

For the majority of links a cookie will stay on your device for 30 days after clicking an affiliate link. You do not have to buy the same item for the influencer to make money.

My husband has a small blog reviewing camera lenses and uses affiliates.
Most click throughs with a subsequent purchase earn him about 15p but some are around Ā£3. He earns a good amount of money from it and is very, very up front about it. He mentions it at the beginning and end of every post, marks every appropriate link as affiliate, has several guides to affiliate programmes and what they mean on his website and also gives an non-affiliate option for every link. Most of his readers are happy to click the affiliate option because he is upfront and provides useful info.
