I’ve picked up some bug, haven’t eaten all day so feel a little bit hungry and my husband has just cooked steak and chips for his dinner. Pretty sure if I eat anything though it won’t end well

People like that are the fucking worst.

My moan is that I’ve still got to wait weeks to find out if I am the one being made redundant at work. I just want to be out of my misery.

A friend of mine started putting prices on things that she was quite happy to give away free.
She said it eliminated some of the time wasters. If someone decent wanted whatever it was she would give it to them for nothing.

Somebody on a local FB group posting a ring video and moaning because a dog ran across their grass. Did the dog poop or pee? Nope
It literally ran across it whilst the owner and other dog walked on the sidewalk. Took all of 3 seconds.
So part of the moan was the owner didn’t call it back and they want an apology.
But almost worse than this is the people who AGREE! Am I living in la-la land. Are we now so petty we moan about this?

Anyway I commented that people can come round our house and walk across the front lawn

My moan today is how long NHS recruitment takes got a phone call last week telling me I’d got the job and haven’t heard anything since! Tell me what information and documents you need and a start date ffs done some research and people are saying it can take 3-4 months+ and I can’t afford to wait that long. Gonna keep searching for something else and hopefully I find another job because they can stuff this min wage/long hours/night shift one if that’s the case

Can confirm it does take months unfortunately. I was just short of 3 months from the day I was offered the job to the day I started. A friend of mine was 5 months. It’s a similar length of time even when you’re already employed by the NHS and going for an internal role. It’s shit having to wait so long but it’s worth it as once you’re in, you’re in, and it opens the door to a lot of internal opportunities.

I gave away a load of stuff on a local free fb page last week, once about 10 people had asked to be next in line for each I turned off the comments, but I had tons of people private message me after that! If I’ve turned off the comments and marked it as pending why would they still try and bother me!

...and here's me checking after 10 days why I haven't heard anything

Command strips. So easy, no hassle, not asking for help, no filling holes.

I can't be arsed with waiting for himself to pull his thumb out either, these are the solution.

I hate when people make a thread all about them …. We don’t need your life story when we’re discussing famous people. People love to talk about themselves don’t they

Yeah it makes it hard to follow the thread. Besides, there are plenty of threads in off topic and advice dedicated to different areas of life where you're welcome to share about yourself.

Dickhead parents who can’t properly care and look after their babies and children.

breakfast today all three adults got up from their table and left a baby of around 8 months in a wooden Highchair by himself and not secured at all. Why is it my 5yo knew that was a twattish thing to do but they didn’t? Poor little thing was screaming his head off, then when they came back they just shouted at him for crying. Just awful.

I'm having a really shit Monday morning and I just want to cry. I've been awake since 3.50am as someone was revving a motorbike out the back at that time. It pissed down when I was walking into work so my hair looks like a frizzy mess. I made a cup of tea to then only spill the whole thing on my desk 5 mins later and and I've just realised my house insurance expired more than a week ago, gone on to do quotes and it's more than double what I paid last year. Give me a break I want to go home, curl up and hide away

People writing essays on here every time they post something. Talking paragraphs and paragraphs. A one off, yes, but not every bloody post. It’s like they see it as their role to educate.

Why is calling in sick so difficult? My boss bombards me with a million questions and then says are you sure you can’t come in. Yeah sorry let me just stop running to the toilet every 5 mins real quick
I always hate the build up to calling in sick because I feel guilty anyways and it just makes me feel worse

They really shouldn’t do that. Shocking! As if youd all of a sudden go ahhhh now you’ve asked 20 questions I’m going to come in instead you’ve convinced me . Nob heads.

It’s these twats that conceive easily and don’t deserve kids but those that would adore a baby have a really tough time and face infertility🥲
