My first day back in England, but my cupboards are bare. So have no other choice but to order a rather scrummy Chinese later this evening(y)

Sweet potato cottage pie with melted cheddar topping.
Made it last night so just needs slinging in the oven.

Not cooking as such, just did a grazer, salami, ham, cheese, grapes, peanuts, crisps, pickled onions. . Love a graze.
Jealous of all your take outs though. .
We had ours last night.
I ordered on line and instructed OH to pick up on his way home.
Sent him to the wrong chipper!! ๐Ÿคฃ

A fry up!

I was meant to have chilli. Put it all in the slow cooker and everything. Then 3 and a half hours later realised I didn't turn the slow cooker on ๐Ÿ˜ณ so we're having a fry up instead... awks

Chilli in the slow cooker with a chunk of dark chocolate in (trust me), homemade paprika wedges, a bit of rice and a slice of garlic bread ๐Ÿ˜‹

translations please.
They're all mostly South African dishes (where I am now currently living):-
Chakalaka is a South African vegetable relish, usually spicy
Boerewors is a predominantly spicy beef sausage
biltong is a combination of dried cured meats
Pap, is just a porridge variation for those who don't have big BBQ appetites
