Well, the UVF and UDA have threatened to "wreck the place" and claimed "NI will burn" if this deal isn't to their liking. The DUP are involved with these paramilitaries, they have a blogger called Jamie Bryson engaged in a consultancy role, who the BBC have introduced on radio as a loyalist with links to the East Belfast UVF. Jim Allister from the TUV has been filmed explaining why there is no government here, it has nothing to do with the NI protocol and everything to do with being deputy to SF. Just to point out the DUP did not support the GFA/Belfast agreement.
The protocol is an excuse. The DUP will not negotiate. It is probably the right decision for Westminster to ignore them now and push this through if they can. But it'll be interesting to know what exactly is being pushed through. Most of us are beyond caring.

No surprise here! No doubt government funded.

Can you imagine the other nations having to put up with this.

DUP won't go back into power sharing unless they have the First Minister chair, which they don't have currently as Sinn Fein are the biggest party. Another election will just cement that position. This anti-protocol etc. is just cover for their bullshit.

Very cynical about the kings meeting this afternoon, despite the wording King was advised by government. It'll cause ructions.

I’m sure a lot would be in favour of changing the GFA to end the stalemate once and for all, we can’t have one party bringing down the whole executive.

I think it shows how untouchable these people feel or even worse, how tight their circles usually are.

He felt safe enough to share these messages for his own personal and financial gain but never considered that they'd be used against him for the sake of public interest. It's crazy.

It's crazy.
It sure is. That he shared them in the first place with anyone, let alone someone like her 🤯

Maybe it works in Rishi's favour that he ghosted Hancock even after all of his support.

Was he attacking another successful woman? He seems unable to stop himself.
Isabel deserves it. Awful person. Pretty much trashed the golden rule of journalism, ie: Never reveal your source. She did it before, 10 years ago when Vicky Pryce was sent to prison after Isabel revealed her in a story. She's a disgrace to the industry. I'm actually astonisted Ferrari never mentioned any of this ... he's always banging the drum about journalists and how wonderful they all are, yada yada yada. Good article about this in the Independent:

Utter crap.

Isabelle has done the nation a favour in providing evidence as to what an odious lying shyster Matt Hancock was during the pandemic.

Telling us all one thing in public, whilst ignoring large amounts of advice given in private.

The 'ring of steel' around Care Homes was nothing more than an utter lie.

Had this not of all come out, Matt would of probably sucessfully 'rehabilitated' himself post Westminster (in his proposed media career), despite a reign of utter incompetence whilst being a Minister.

The nation is largely behind these leaks, bar The Guardian and Independent whom were largely critical of Hancock at the time - and have decided to take pot shots at Oakshott instead.

For the Guardian to bang on about standards is just laughable. Although if it was one of their journalists who leaked this, there would of course would of been no issues, and full backing given by the outlet.

As for Chris Hulme and Vicki Pryce, you think perverting the course of justice is acceptable behaviour? Both deserved what they got for making up lies in order to escape being punished.

Vicky was more than happy to falsely take points for Chris's driving convictions whilst they were married.

Some people need to get off their high horse. It is seemingly acceptable for left wing whistle-blowers to leak things but not right wing ones.

I for one do not care what side of the coin a leak has come from, nor which member of any political party it affects. If an MP has been found to have been seriously cheating and lying to the public, they deserve all they get.

This rule applies in situations when your source could be at danger.

The only "threat" Hancock faced was people realising how incompetent he was. Which we knew but didn't have solid proof of.

MPs don't deserve protection from the public if their actions put the public at risk.

I'd say Hancock put us as a greater threat than whatever consequences he faces for this leak, if any.

Matt claims they have already been "made available" to the inquiry

I don't think oakeshott is coming across well at all in her interviews. She looks like a tit saying he sent a menacing message, then refusing say what it said. Only for Matt to say it the next day the 3 word message.

To be fair Isabel did us a favour by revealing the lies of Vicky Price. She and her husband were an unpleasant couple.

I was gonna say, Isabel has taken herself down with Matt because she's not coming off great either.

And isn't she effectively the source? Because Matt was never going to pass these messages to the press for them to report on. In terms of being an informant and revealing information to the media for a news story, Isabel is the source herself.

Unsurprisingly the unionists have rejected the Windsor framework lol
Oh no.........until we get the Northern Ireland issues worked out....we are going to be stuck in a trade limbo with Europe.

Can we please just go back into a European customs union and agree to abide by EU trade standards?

Oakeshott is just a vessel. Yes, the public may benefit from these leaks, but her only motivation is further herself and become the flavor of the month in the Murdoch empire.

If her career wasn't going well under Murdoch I could see her joining a Kremlin mouthpeice.

Not according to unelected representatives that hold this place to ransom, apparently sinister elements are trying to start a civil war of course radio silence from media platforms only to those that want to drag us back…That’s the reality, Sunak’s certainly got his work cut out 😉
