Well today has been tough, I feel like there has been Instagram pregnancy announcements all day long. Mrs hinch, Ella Darby etc. One half of me is happy for all these women but the other half is uncontrollably jealous. Then I feel horrible for feeling envious. It’s a such a vicious cycle of feelings!
I feel the same, one after another. Took us 18 months and then I miscarried at the beginning of December. We should have been telling people in a couple of weeks and instead everyone seems to be announcing instead. Sending you lots of love.

Thanks for setting up this post 😊

I’m 28yo and TTC #1, currently in my 5th cycle of trying. I’d been on BC for 10 years (mainly the implant) so I was pleasantly surprised to see my periods return quickly (I had none when on the implant). They have been a bit whacky but nothing major (28-35 days), but my main issue seems to be my Luteal Phase. I’m using OPK’s to track ovulation and have got a positive each month however my LP has never been over 9 days. I’m taking the pregnacare pre conception multi vitamin and also trying to lose some weight as I know if I end up having to see a doctor after a year of trying (fingers crossed this isn’t the case!) they will just turn me away and tell me to lose weight before they can do anything! I also do worry about PCOS as I think I have excess hair on my face and also my weight has always been an issue.

Sorry for writing war and peace 😂 congratulations if you made it to the end. It’s just nice to have somewhere to splurge all this info as I don’t know anyone in my real life who would want to sit and listen to me go on about it all the time!

Also want to add that I am completely aware that 5 months is nothing compared to what a lot of people go through so I hope I do not come across as insensitive. It’s just nice to have somewhere to share my worries! 😘

Thank you.
Yes I don’t think I am as I think I’m getting my usual pms symptoms so going to hold back from the tests, I’ve told my boyfriend to hide the ones I have in the bathroom!
I need to get my boyfriend to hide mine too! It’s so tempting but also so disappointing each time. I’m on my 5th cycle this month and have told myself I will not test unless I am late. We’ll see how that goes in a couple of weeks when I’m 10dpo and Googling if I should see a positive result yet 😂

Hi all hope I can join. I'm 28 and ttc number 1 and I'm on cycle 12. I came off the pill after years on it but my periods have come back regular although light. I'm surrounded by pregnant friends and family or they have babies and there are constant scans on social media, the lockdown baby boom really happened!
I stopped doing opks as I found it so stressful and got obsessed, and it didn't work. It hasn't worked since though either 😂
Its so hard sometimes, I got my AF a couple of days ago, a day late and with it being Christmas it just shattered me. I'm trying to see 2021 as a whole new year of hope, but it's hard right now.
I know there are many of you that have been trying far longer, so I know I haven't had it tough but it is hard when hearing 'we only did it the once' 'it only took a couple of months' or that it was an accident when it's something you want so much x

Hey hun. We did. It took 2 years for us to fall pregnant with our first! It’s so hard watching others around you. Girls who were still teenagers having babies while it wasn’t happening for us broke me! Sending lots of baby dust for you xx
Thankyou. That gives me hope. I know it's not long compared to some but when people are falling pregnant easily around me, straight away, it makes me feel like something is wrong, I can't help it. Hopefully it will just happen for me too X
I'm the same as you. Don't follow this topic all the time.
We've been trying since October 2019 and still no luck.
A friend of ours started trying around the same time and already has a baby now. We were supposed to meet up last weekend, but I just couldn't bring myself to going. Had my period two weeks ago, had recently taken another round of Letrozole (similar to clomid, I have PCOS) and was mentally in a dark place (still not really out of it).
I felt so bad for making my boyfriend go alone to meet up with her, but I really wasn't in a good place. It's important to take care of yourself.
Going to the gynaecologist tomorrow again to see if ovulation is on schedule. Been having sex daily since the beginning of this week. I think I'll ovulate end of this week/beginning next week. So going all out now for the coming (no pun intended) days.
Fingers crossed! 🤞

I honestly feel like I have a burn out of trying for a baby, if that makes sense. It's so draining... :(
Oh wow this describes me. I am burnt out. I feel okay in the month but when my period comes I can't help but feel devestated, and I feel like I don't want to do this to myself anymore.
I hope it goes well at the gynaecologist.
I also just think sometimes its better to stay away from other babies for your own mental health. I feel the same but then people just don't understand so I think I'll look rude. But then I tell myself, I'm doing the right thing for me. Covid lockdown has been my saviour for this to be honest, I have been able to keep away from family and friends new babies and pregnancies, and I feel selfish, but that is better for me right now, and only people who have tried for babies for a length of time understand that xx

I’ve been using pregnicare conception for the past few months. After giving it a go deciding to come off it and just use folic acid.
Reasons (and I can’t say this is definitely the pregnicare pills however all symptoms have started. Recent cycles after taking it)-
lower EWCM during O
Cystic acne on chin leading up to O
Spotting by before period (never had that before, thought it was implantation bleeding)
Mood swings
Extra tired and grouchy

might not be all linked to the tablets but just going to try folic acid for a few months and see if I notice a change.

anyone else have positive or negative experiences when taking pregnicare conception tablets?

or any other top tips of supplements for supporting conception that you’ve experienced?
I've taken them on and off in my almost 8 years and they've never affected my cycles before.

In a ttc community that I was once part of I heard of people chopping the tablets in half because they apparently contain more than enough of what your body needs though!

-Noticed on another page that you said you came off the pill and have been ttc 3 months. So it could also be that you never noticed any of these symptoms before, as you weren't trying to conceive, or looking for any symptoms. But also your body may still be adjusting from coming off the pill.

Just some friendly advice, I hope no one takes offence, Ive been in the ttc world for too long, I would avoid editing photos of tests to look for a line -for your sanity. Its just chasing shadows and it will drive you mad (I've been there!!).

Pretty sure all pregnancy tests have an indent line which will be coloured if pregnant but the line can show up in edits :(
❤

Hoping some will be lucky here and get a bfp before the year ends ❤
We're usually not trying not preventing but we gave it some go this month. Desperately wanting to be pregnant before we hit 8 years ttc in March. 😭
I ovulated earlier than normal so now AF is due on Christmas Day 🙄
Oh what wonderful luck I have !!

I gave in and tested early today as been feeling really off the last few days (12dpo, period 3 days away) and got this... honestly can’t believe it! ❤ Wishing everyone else luck and positive tests, this was our 3rd month of trying and although i know that’s not long to try I felt so disappointed the last 2 months!
Congratulations ❤

Well I've been to the toilet and I have started spotting. I won't lie I had a little cry, but I'm glad I'm on so I can try again next month. I hate that our bodies play games like this with us 😔

I experienced a early pregnancy loss a couple of weeks ago and was too upset to ask any questions at the hospital. Has anyone had the same? Looking for advice on roughly when my next period should arrive? And also how quickly we can/should start trying again?
Absolutely gutted as we were planning on telling our family on Christmas Day.

So grateful for this thread thank you!

so we’ve been TTC for three months.

I have just come off the pill after being on it for over 10 years and I can safely say my cycle is up and running now.

my cycle is usually 32 days long and I’m using an ovulation app and I’m ovulating about three days after it predicts I am.

this cycle I’m now 8 DPO and I’m really getting my hope up with symptoms...

creamy CM (usually dry now)
Some EWCM today
Cramping/twinges and bloating
Nauseous feeling
Loss of appetite (usually very hungry before AF)
Really tired
Drier skin (usually quite oily now)

I’m thinking it’s just the start of PMS symptoms but really hoping not.

Good luck to everyone

Well I’m back. Finally stopped bleeding after my chemical pregnancy. Ready to get back to ttc. I had my moments of “I’m done. I’m giving up” etc but nope. I’m ready now. We will get our baby!!
Started switching up to different vitamins now, I’ve read a lot about low vitamin d can cause miscarriages and we’ll I’ve been stuck indoors for months due to lockdown so I’m upping my dosage on them too.
anyone here use baby aspirin? I’ve heard good thing. When do you start taking it? Etc.
good luck all 💜

Hi everyone, hope it’s okay to join!

I’m now on cycle 4 (really not long I know) after having my implant removed. (2 implants over 6 years) & before those I was on various contraception methods such as the pill / depo injection etc, so I think altogether I have been on some form of contraception for around 10 years!

Me & my partner are currently TTC & I had my implant taken out in August 2020. I had my withdrawal bleed around 2 weeks later & then my periods have been regularish since (between 31 days & 25 days)! Which I am super thankful for as I know it can take years for cycles to return to somewhat normal.

I have also been using OPK’s & ovulation date has varied massively depending on cycle length. This month my positive was on cd11 very early considering the month before my positive OPK was cd19!

I am currently in the 2ww and due my period around 2nd Jan I think. I had some light pink cm only one wipe around 2 days ago which would be 9/10 days before my period date, (hoping it’s implantation bleeding) as I have never had anything remotely similar before. Been feeling very tired during the evenings and a lot of cramping. But then again, I’ve had symptoms before that I’m certain I just put into my head and then went on to get a BFN! Crazy how are body and minds allow us to trick ourselves, really not fair. I also understand that cycle 4 after having my implant temoved really isn’t long at all and I do not expect to blessed or fortunate enough to even be pregnant yet.

Anyway, I’m going to stop rambling on, but thank you to whoever made this thread! I have found it so helpful and reassuring during my time of TTC and love that there is a little community of us and that we can all turn to someone if we need advice :)

I’m praying for all of you amazing ladies that haven’t got their BFP yet & hope you all had an amazing, relaxing Christmas! 💖

Caved and tested 2 days before AF and got BFN. (It’s almost my birthday so wanted to have a few drinks this weekend). I knew it was coming but still got the same feeling of disappointment. 😔 Everything crossed now for next month. Good luck everyone ❤

Sorry you're going through this :( ❤

I miscarried at almost 7 weeks and my next period just came about 4 weeks/28 days later. As if my cycle had just reset. I had a couple of wonky cycles after this but quickly went back to normal.

I think doctors do say you should wait a cycle before trying again but not everyone does this and still go on to have a healthy pregnancy. Trying again whenever you are ready should be fine.
Thank you for responding, I did have questions prepared just in case but needed to get out of there as hate crying in front of people! I was just over 7 weeks, sorry you’ve had to deal with it too.
I will have to keep an eye out and see what happens in the next couple of weeks.
I knew it could happen but after 18 months of nothing it’s just shit. I work alongside substance misuse services so I see people on methadone/heroin having babies and wonder how fair it is 🤷‍♀️

I'm so glad I found this thread!!!

I'm ttc baby no2 - we started trying in October no luck yet.

I'm currently 10dpo bloated and crampy, but I think in my heart I know I'm not pregnant. Will wait to see my af shows up instead of rushing out to spend money on more pregnancy tests as I'm pretty sure it will be negative.

I won't lie I am starting to get a bit down about the whole thing - reading here some of you ladies have been ttc for alot longer than me but I cant help but feel frustrated! Its so disappointing and stressful, using opks everyday, timing sex, stressing about not enough sex or not at the right time. Omg its a lot.

Well it’s 3 days before AF is due and I have ( really sorry tmi) pink in my cm when I wipe and AF pains so I guess I’m out 😔. Really need to stop symptom spotting now because each cycle I’ve had completely different symptoms but the same outcome and it’s probably just my body regulating after the pill. Good luck to anyone still in their 2ww x x

like you I’ve been waiting for “the right time” my partner has wanted for ages and I said we needed a bigger house, more money behind us, I needed to have been in my job longer, further in my career etc. Then I got a new job a year ago and despise it and can’t find a new one so I’ve been like I should wait for a new job then stay there 6months - 1 year before getting pregnant. Now this year I’ve realised life is too short and family is the most important thing and the only job I’ve ever really wanted is to be a mum. I’m also 27 and I honestly thought trying to not get pregnant was the hard bit. We’ve only been trying a couple of months but I was so naive and thought it would be pretty instant and then it kicks in if it doesn’t happen soon I won’t be a mum in 2021 either. Time ticks away from you and now I’ve been reading fertility declines from 27 I thought it was 30’s. Most of my friends are already mums and I’m feeling so old. If you want it just go for it life’s too short.
There never is a right time. If we all spent our lives waiting for the right time, there would be hardly and children. The right time is the second they come along & you hold them in your arms, everything makes sense ❤
