So I took a test today for my birthday & the day of my expected period on 2 apps and 1 days before on another app, the test was negative 😔
I’m not letting it ruin my day, I’m just going to have a small glass of wine tonight and try again next cycle after my period decides to show 🙄

conceiving is consuming all of my thoughts this month, more so than usual!! We have timed everything so right this month and even had a positive ovulation test! I’ve got to be pregnant this month. We even bought our first baby item as it was in the sale. I feel like it’s going to hit me hard if AF comes this month

So just a little update. I tested with a 25miu test when I got my positive yesterday. Had some really intense cramping today. Took another 25miu test this morning and pretty much so light. So tested with clear blue early detection and that’s pretty much negative too. (It’s more sensitive so should have been darker than the other tests) so another chemical 😭

Looks like I've got my period yet again 😔
Felt really positive about it this month, but too bad. Felt it coming though: greasier hair, pimples, lower back pain, easily angered, nauseous... Ugh, I hate PCOS...
Kinda scared for the real first day of my period, because ever since I've gotten off the pill (Oct '19), PCOS got free reign and my period has been so SO painful. Waking up crying, unable to do anything foe hours on end, pain killers taking ages to work...

I'm turning 30 in 5 months, I just want baby, why does my body feel the need to punish me for that?!
(I know, I know, my body doesn't really punish me, but ffs it sure feels like it is and I'm feeling hormonal)
On the bright side: it's wine o'clock! 🥳

How's everyone holding up?

Long term lurker here joining just for this thread!

My first month of TTC, I came off Yasmin my contraceptive 5 weeks ago after being on it for almost 15 years. Isn't it mad how you spend so long trying not to get pregnant then all of a sudden you're desperate for it?

I'm freaked out about it all as I'm 30, so I've never really known what my natural cycle is as it's always been controlled by the pill. Been reading so many horror stories about how people's cycles don't go back to normal. I need to refrain from the internet!

My first period since my withdrawal bleed is due next week, if my cycle length is a typical 28-30 dayer.

Just brain dumping really! Good luck to everyone.

Hey girls, hope you're all ok. I have a question. I did a pregnancy test 2 days ago (AF due this sat) and had the faintest of lines but there was deffo something, so I did it again yesterday and nothing. I have one digital CB left and didn't want to waste it just yet. I read that OPKs can sometimes read it too so I did one and got this...what do you think?
Hey ladies,

Looks like the OPKs were right. I now have 3 positive tests which is great. I also have covid so hoping it doesn't interfere with anything. I am already very nauseous, just like with my first. Wish me luck. Sending so much love and luck to you all. This was our fourth month trying, the things we did different was I used the ClearBlue digital ovulation sticks rather than the cheapos. I also didnt take the luisa coq10 tablets (I had for 3 mths), choosing to get the more expensive ovulation sticks instead. Obviously, might just be luck but I thought I'd let you know. Xxx

New around here 😁 got a six year old daughter, had one miscarriage before her and have hideous anxiety around that and in general so I'm very private/cautious about this stuff in real life, but saw this thread existed and who the hell wants to go through the two week wait alone. Anyway, first cycle ttc number 2! It's happened quickly in the past but I'm getting older now so we'll see 🤭

Not completely relevant but I’ve been told that my job is at risk of redundancy next year. I’m so gutted as it’s going to throw a spanner in the works with my baby plans! I’m all ready with my ovulation strips for our first proper month of trying and now I don’t know what to do ☹

A few people have said “don’t worry you’re only young” (I’m 27) but I’ve been waiting for this ‘right time’ for so long now I’m just so gutted. Part of me is tempted to just start trying anyway.
There never is a ‘right time’ honestly Im currently pregnant with my first fell pregnant over the first lockdown and I really wanted us to have bought and be moved in to our own house before we had kids and not be in the middle of a pandemic, but life really is too short and a baby is always a blessing at any time although to you it may not seem like the ‘ideal’ time. Sending everyone on this post lots of baby dust and hope yous all get your little babies soon ❤❤

I’m currently miscarrying. Sorry if that is TMI but because it was so early, nobody had been told other than my husband and I just need someone to talk to. This is my second miscarriage this year and my third in two years. I’d been put onto Dalteparin and aspirin when this pregnancy was confirmed as I have sticky blood (I’m under the care of my local recurrent miscarriage clinic) and I honestly thought that with treatment plan in place this time would be different. I’m just heartbroken. I desperately want a child but I don’t know how much more I can put my body and heart through when this is the result.

Hi everyone,
Going back to vaccine and ttc. I’m now fully vaccinated and continuing on my journey. The Royal college of obs and gynae advise there is no need to delay pregnancy as there is no plausible way that the vaccine could cause infertility. I appreciate it’s everyone’s own decision and if I wasn’t a keyworker, maybe I wouldn’t be so keen to have the vaccine. I’m a year ttc baby no 2 (and it’s desperately wanted) but I also really just want to hug my parents and take care of the life I’ve got now...rather than worrying about possibilities that may never happen xx

Hi, hoping to join in!
I tried for 2 years before going for tests, all showed fine and were down as unexplained infertility!
we’ve done ivf 3 times, fell preg all 3 times but sadly lost the first 2! I now have my toddler boy who is just amazing!
I haven’t read the full thread but my advise would be;
Take folic acid every day
You can track ovulation by discharge (I tried the sticks and didn’t get on with them, personally think it’s abit too much pressure)
Have sex every 2-3 days in your ovulation window which tends to start 10-14 days after period.
you can also check your cervix, to see if it’s open etc, may take few times to find it and understand it, but google this and it’ll explain.
the hardest thing anyone ever said to me was to relax. Whilst I didn’t conceive naturally I know people who said they were stopping ttc and fell preg. And more importantly.... enjoy it!! Sometimes ttc can take the enjoyment out of sex.
sending lots of baby wishing to you all

I’m a day late for period but just tested and got a negative :( so disappointing.
Im not TTC but I saw your post. If it gives you any hope when I was pregnant my period was late and I tested after 3 days and it was negative so I carried on as normal assuming it was just everything settling as I’d just come off the pill after 10years+.

A week later still nothing, no symptoms of period or pregnancy so I tested again expecting it to be negative and it was positive.
He’s an 18 month old monster now ☺

I'm supposed to be in my most fertile days and set to ovulate tomorrow. OPKs are normally reading high - positive by now. They're constantly negative. After a late period last month, and a routine blood test that showed my folate levels were dangerously low again I kinda knew this was coming along with the fact I have severe folic acid deficiencies that isn't corrected by tablets it was only a matter of time until it affected my cycle. It's given me the kick up the arse I needed to go back to my consultant & fight even harder to be given my folic acid IV that I need but they are hesitant to give me. I'm gonna bow out for now ladies as I think my TTC journey ends here for now until I can get my levels back up. Lots of baby dust to you all x

So, we don’t have children and I miscarried our baby on Valentines Day 2019. It was all very traumatic for me physically more than mentally I think. This year we want to try again (preferably in the summer once we’ve cleared a couple of debts, I know there’s never an ideal time but I’d rather know we are giving ourselves the best chance financially so I can have mat leave longer than three months etc) only thing is I am PETRIFIED to put myself in that vulnerable position again - what if it happens again, mentally I’m not sure I’d cope. I’m also annoyed we missed out on so many holidays etc in 2020 and the odds of us getting them now before we try for a baby are slim. So I’m angry at the world for that because it’s time we can never get back. Aware I’m sounding very selfish and I know people have it far worse but please don’t judge, it’s the way I’m feeling

Hi all. Wasn’t aware there was a ttc thread and I’m so happy I’ve found you all. We’ve been trying to conceive our second child since January 2020. We had two early miscarriages in June and July. And a miscarriage at 9’weeks in November. I’m currently 7 or 8dpo in our first cycle trying since the miscarriage. Shooting pains in my boobs, cramps since 3dpo, bad headaches, Swollen gland in my throat and achy legs. Trying not to think too much of it as I know my periods probably coming 😬
