My partner and I started trying to conceive in February and I became utterly obsessed. It can take over your life if you aren’t careful. All I could think of was OPK testing, the couple of days around ovulation and then the TWW. Every month I was on pins looking for the signs that this month had worked. Examining my underwear for signs of an implantation bleed, analysing every twinge and convincing myself that this was our month. I’m now 18 weeks pregnant and what I will say is on the month that I got pregnant I did nothing apart from have some lovely sex! I just thought do you know what if it’s meant to be then it will be. The day I did the test I did it because I simply knew I was pregnant! And I certainly was. I think most women just have that feeling. Symptom wise there was nothing. Certainly none of those things that I’d analysed over the 5/6 months prior to conceiving. I know my journey was short compared to how hard some women have it but it’s all relative and when you want to be pregnant that’s all you can think about. I hope all you ladies on here get your wish soon xx

Well my period is due today and no sign yet. Usually greets me first thing in the morning 😬 too scared to test though (and I don’t have any) pretty pointless post I guess 🤣

Glad to have found this thread! 💖

my hubby and I are in our first month of ttc.

I don’t think it will happen quickly at all but the current wait for AF are awful!

I was diagnosed with PCOS at 31 - my periods have been getting heavier and heavier for years(
typical that my periods aren’t irregular as such! Sometimes they can last a whole month! 😭)
anyway I was referred to a gynaecologist in 2019 as GP suspected endometriosis so I had a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy and luckily didn’t find any endo, however I do have a heart shaped womb, which means I’m at risk of late miscarriage, they removed a couple of “seedlings” from my womb and my tubes were severely blocked but they managed to unblock them.

I haven’t been on any form of contraceptives for at least 4 years, we were using the withdrawal method.

I am really sensitive to cystitis/UTIs if I have too much sex and need antibiotics! Not great for baby making 🤣

anyway - we’ve had sex 4 times over my estimated fertile period (Xmas time), 4 days later I had an increase in urination, I’ve googled and seen that this could be pregnancy symptoms (post on net mums knew she was pregnant this way) I know it’s unlikely given my history, but the wait is horrendous! My boobs are ridiculously sore and heavy! I know it will be my body playing tricks on me! Stupid hormones!!

sorry for the waffle - felt good to get it out!! We aren’t telling anybody we’re ttc until it happens xx

Hiya I am TTC after 3 miscarriages. It’s heartbreaking as I never thought it would happen to me.
We are trying again but during this lockdown it’s very hard as your whole mind focuses on period, then fertile window, then the two week wait. All you do is wait. It becomes an obsession.
I was advised to do blood tests. Genetic testing etc. Turns out I have a blood condition hence why I am miscarrying.
My doctor has advised me that there are several things I need to do once I find out I’m pregnant and one of them is to take aspirin in the evening as soon as I find out I’m expecting and she will monitor me for 6 weeks to see how my body responds. My doctor has stated I may have to take all the medication including aspirin throughout the whole pregnancy.

I’m looking forward to the next step just it’s the first 12 weeks will be the hardest as I have a high risk of miscarrying.
Once I’m passed 12 weeks I will cry as I know it’s a miracle.

Anyways I think if your thinking about taking an aspirin speak to doctor. It’s better to be safe :))
Wishing all you ladies success in your journey I love this thread it really gives me hope.
And when I go stir crazy thinking am I pregnant or is it AF it makes me laugh as I realise I’m not the only crazy lady.
Love this thread a lot has given me lots of hope ❤

Does anyone else feel like EVERYONE is pregnant right now. Celebs, friends... Everyone. Seriously. Fed up of seeing announcements
Hi all, I have been avoiding this thread for a little while as it stirs up too many feelings but I'm so glad I did, it's nice to know that I'm not alone 🧡

We started ttc June 2019 and managed to fall pregnant in July, however I had an early miscarriage so we decided to stop trying for a while. I then started a great new job on what would have been my due date so it kind of felt like everything happens for a reason.

But since we started again arghhh it's been so frustrating, especially as we fell so quick the first time around. What doesn't help is my bro in law and his fiance are now expecting a baby because 'they don't want to put their plans on hold' and his fiance is 10 years younger than me 😭

I haven’t, I know I shouldn’t slate the NHS but I was treated so poorly throughout the whole process - I felt so let down and still do. My husband has mild autism, everything is so black and white to him so it’s hard for us both. I just need to be brave. I know I get through anything with my friends and family but I still feel vulnerable about it all.
I really feel for you - and I’ve got everything crossed for you too that you get positive news this year x

Well today has been tough, I feel like there has been Instagram pregnancy announcements all day long. Mrs hinch, Ella Darby etc. One half of me is happy for all these women but the other half is uncontrollably jealous. Then I feel horrible for feeling envious. It’s a such a vicious cycle of feelings!
It feels like it’s been non stop recently! I have so many girls on my Instagram that have made announcements over Christmas, it is hard not to feel jealous when it’s something you want so much

I hope this is ok to post. It took me 9 months to conceive. Which is really nothing compared with other experiences however I did start to panic because I’m over 35. We have a really great GP who I contacted after 6 months of TTC (I was using clear blue ovulation a sticks and the note in them say if you’re over 35 contact your doctor after 6 months). Within a day she had taken bloods (and this was just out of the first lockdown) and my husband was booked in to give a sample. Everything came back as ‘normal’ and so I was referred to a hospital to do the dye test but fell pregnant. The only thing we had done differently that month was use a lube called conceive +. It could be a complete coincidence so I’m not saying it’s a miracle etc but I thought I would mention it.

So pleased there is a thread here of people in all stages of TTC because it’s just not really talked about and it can be an incredibly isolating time. Especially as we are constantly fed how “easy” it is. Wishing everyone here so much love and so much luck xxx

I’m going to give them a go! Just had a look online and it looks like clear blue do them so I might see if I can pick some up tomorrow. Also think I need to do a bit more reading up about the other bits 😂
Personally I’d go for the Easy@Home ones from Amazon, there’s an app to go with it & it gives you a ratio, along with tracking your cycle & symptoms & BBT. The clear blue ones work out so expensive in the long run. It’s all a learning curve I’m so glad I found this thread I’ve not told anyone we’re trying for baby #2 so it’s been driving me insane🤣

I usually test early with eBay cheapies. Haven’t bought anymore since our last miscarriage.. in the hopes I won’t test early again because I get obsessed. Period due in 5 days and I have a first response in the cupboard. Taking every ounce of me to not pee on it (if it was a two pack I’d have already done it by now 🤣)

Hello all, I'm so sorry to post this here when it might not be the right place, and this may sound stupid, but is this definitely positive!? I took the bottom one yesterday and the top one just now.

I think I'm in such disbelief because I got told there's no way I'd be able to conceive... And then this. I'm also feeling nauseous on and off and my lower back is aching.

I'm sorry if this seems like fishing or something but I genuinely feel like I need another opinion before I tell my husband to make sure I'm not seeing things!

Going out of my mind ladies. Took a test & I’ve got the faintest line can’t work out for the life of me if it’s an evap line of big fat positive. I’m 12dpo. I thought I was seeing things at first but my partner can see it too 😣 waiting till my period is due to retest on Thursday is going to drive me insane.
How are you all?! X

Been ttc for 2 years and my sister told me yesterday that she is pregnant its her 3rd, my immediate reaction was I just wanted to cry and why not me, overall am so happy for her. I feel like we are trying so feckin hard to get pregnant and just no joy! We did the deed 4 days in a row when it was coming up to ovulation, then missed ovulation day, dunno if its just me but I always feel so bloated on that day and just didn't have the drive, so disappointed with myself as I feel I missed the one day the egg was actually there! Why are our bodies so annoying like this!! Anyway 10 days til period is due now so back to counting down the days now to what will surely be another wasted month :(

Great thread idea! I have two kids and I've just had a missed miscarriage at 12weeks. I'm very lucky to have two children and I conceive relatively quickly but I've had multiple miscarriages. I don't know when my period is due now so who knows?! I'd like to start trying properly again in January. sending lots of love to everyone!

i feel the same! It’s always on my mind but I can’t talk to anyone about it! Also finding it hard as a close friend has just had a baby. I’m over the moon for her but find the constant updates and baby pics are like a dagger in the heart sometimes. It’s not her fault though as she has no idea we are trying

Having a real meh day today. I’m finding lockdown really tough this time around and with ttc on top of that it’s hard! Last night I FaceTimed my best friend and she told me she was 9 weeks pregnant with her second. Both times she has conceived the first month trying. She’s been my best friend since school and I’m so happy for her, she’s a great mum. But I felt awful because I just cried when she told me. I feel like such a brat that my first though was “when will it be my turn”. I’m feeling like I stole her thunder and she must have been buzzing to tell me and I ruined it. On top of that I got married in December so at work people keep asking “how’s married life, are you pregnant yet?”. I work with mainly men so they have no idea. I know they mean well but I find it really hard to just smile and laugh.
Don’t really know the point of this post think I just needed somewhere to write it all down! When I talk to my friends/family they just don’t really get it. I just get “it will happen”, “just relax and don’t think about it”.
I’m due AF next weekend and feel teary today so god knows what I’ll be like next week 😅.
Oh love I hope you're okay ❤ It's difficult ttc at the best of times but when someone announces their pregnancy it can feel like a kick in the teeth. Don't feel awful about your reaction it's natural, did she know you are trying? This lockdown and ttc is SO HARD x
