Are you me?! 😂 cycle 14, well AF came yesterday so I guess cycle 15 now for me. I hope the test comes back with some helpful information for you both. TTC has consumed my life and I had a good old cry on Sunday to the OH and said if we aren’t pregnant by next Feb (2 years of trying) I’m giving up because it is so mentally and emotionally draining.
Haha we are similar!
He has children already so he is highly unlikely to be the problem although I know it can happen. I badly want everything to be fine with us but then I guess they can't help as to why its not happening if so, so that frightens me a bit too.

I have also said I feel like giving up a few times now, that I can't do this anymore and when I feel like that I mean it. When my period comes I just feel so bad. Last month i truly felt like my heart was physically hurting and breaking with pain. And I just think I can't do this to myself anymore. But then I think about it possibly meaning me never having a child of my own and that thought kills me... And I guess that's what makes me carry on. I truly truly have so much admiration for those women that do this for years, they are so strong.

Hi all, I am just about to start TTC, I’m 28 and haven’t been pregnant before. I stopped taking my pill yesterday.

I’ve been having a little read through and lots of your posts have been super helpful as I think I was quite naive to it all and figured I just stop taking my pill and hope it happens.

Am going to get some of the pre conception vitamins tomorrow so thanks to those who recommended them.

In terms of the ovulation tests and tracking things, should I start using them right away? Or would you all initially just hope for the best and if it doesn’t happen after a few months start tracking? Sorry for all the questions x
When I came off the pill I naively thought my period would come back straight away but it took 45 days then settled into normal cycle. I found using an app first to log symptoms then progressed onto the clear blue OPK.

I think I’m out 💔 I started spotting yesterday and even though it’s so intermittent it doesn’t fill me with a positive ending. Gutted!

Had a little break but need to share with someone. Had our appointment with the fertility clinic this week and got told that our only hope of a pregnancy based on my age and my partners test results (which is ironic as he already two kids which were conceived naturally and quickly) is to have IVF. Was a bit of a blow to be honest, we knew it was a possibility but was quite hard to hear. Not sure it’s even an option for us, would be self funded and the chances of a successful pregnancy are under 10%, if we wait even longer that’ll drop even more. They also reckon we’ll possibly need 2-3 cycles, so need to have £15k available, not sure that’s an option for us
I just feel so sad. I’m an only child and I just always assumed I’d have a baby at some point, my Mum had me at 41 so I’ve always been quite blasé about it
My partner doesn’t seem to get why I’m so upset, he’s always been happy enough to have another child but he just doesn’t seem to get why I’m so bothered by it...we argued the other night and he suggested I’d best ‘go and find myself someone that isn’t a jaffa’ that’s not even a consideration for me but would just like him to realise how difficult I’m finding this
Hiya. Not in the exact situation as I'm on cycle 15 and have begun tests but I understand to do with your partner. My dh has 2 children already and although wants a baby just doesnt have that yearn for one like I do. Doesn't understand the heartbreak. It's so hard as it can make me feel so alone as he just doesn't get it. I think it's perhaps a maternal thing partly but also when they already have children it's not as huge deal like it is to us wanting our first.they want one, but aren't desperate as they already have that. It bothers me too x

Took a test and no luck. Didn’t do it with my first wee of the day but never mind. I bought a few tests so will give it a few days and see if af comes ☹
Hoping for a positive for you over the weekend! 💕
My AF is due on Sunday, feel like I have been feeling generally unwell and headachy the last 36 hours which is normal right before my period but usually only lasts a few hours and then bam I get my period.
Actually bought 2 tests there, what ye reckon? Wait til morning or give one a go now?

Omg! So close to the end now! This gives me so much hope, you must be so excited!

Lurker here - hi everyone! :)So basically I had pinky brown discharge a week before my period was due the Saturday just gone (and light cramping in my stomach for days and tender boobs which I never get before a period ) .. took two clear blue ultra early detection tests, one Sunday and one Monday both negative after the 5-10 minutes but an hour later showed faint blue lines.. I know they are supposed to be invalid after the time period but reading other ttc forums people are saying mixed things and I'm just so confused I'm just wondering if anyone else has experience this? AND your gonna think I'm daft but I bled quite heavy on Tuesday - looks like I've come on 4 days early but then I've read stories again that implantation bleeding was heavy for them?? I am just losing my mind. I'm just holding to any hope really.
Hey! Every pregnancy I’ve had I’ve always had implantation bleeding! Mine is quite heavy, usually a couple of times after I go for a wee and it is very dark, sounds like implantation to me! 😁 try a first response test with your first wee in the morning ❤

Thank you all for responses 💖

I’m going to start by getting an app and tracking that way, get some vitamins and start trying ASAP once I’ve had my withdrawal bleed from stopping my pill.

Good luck with all your journeys, I’ll be reading and keeping my fingers crossed for us all 🤞🏻💕
5DPO for me! Good luck everyone

Can soooo relate to some of these messages here. Have been lurking the last few days and again it really helps to know we are all in this together. I'm really tracking like mad this cycle and I have a couple of questions - hoping someone here will have advice..

1. I've been tracking BBT every day but it's not really telling me anything, i basically go up and down by .3 of a degree every day or so. All the websites say to take temp before you even sit up in bed, but they also say to track it at the same time every day (??) which seems impossible to me. What do you guys do? i wake up at different times every day depending on work etc, surely its best to take it as soon as i wake rather than the same time each day in case i've been up and about?

2. I've been using OPKs very consistently this cycle. I haven't had any highs and I'm on CD18 :( starting to worry I am not ovulating at all - even though there is still time! I'm wondering am I doing the kits wrong- again, the requirements seem impossible. It says take them at the same time every day, twice a day, but not the FMU and don't drink liquid for 2 hours before? I want to know who lives like this 🤣 What time do you guys take the tests at? I think i will move onto the ClearBlue ones next cycle (already preparing myself to be unsuccessful this time :() also is it possible i could still conceive even though i've only had lows? they've been between 0.14 and 0.21 and never higher.

I feel so consumed by ttc at the moment. I know it's still really early days for us but I just want it so much and hate feeling so helpless in it. I can't concentrate in work or when chatting to friends cause it's all I think about! I know you will all understand 💔

Hi all,

For those that have just got their bfps or have other children did any of you have skin breakouts before you found out?

My skin was awful for a year after coming off the pill. The last 2 or 3 months it has got better which has made me feel so much better in myself.

I'm in the TWW 8dpo and the last few days my skin is breaking out. Its not major. I've got quite a few actual spots and then lots of those little 'bumps' that are apparently hormonal spots or something. I'm sure it means nothing and most likely just means my skin is going bad again (I am praying this doesn't happen, it killed my self esteem).

Thanks x x

I’ve had my first dose, waiting for my second. I hesitated at first but thought you know what, I can’t delay everything in life just in case I get pregnant. We’ve been trying for 16 months and nothing has happened so I doubt a vaccine will change that!

I’m also under the care of fertility and they haven’t mentioned once about me or my partner having the vaccine (both NHS workers)
I had decided yes. Its the fact it's the actual place the vaccinations are being done that have told me no and not until after I've had a baby. Its totally thrown me! I even said but the NHS website says it's fine... They were like that isn't the guidance we go by 😐

Thanks all, I’ll wait until the morning it’s just really hard. I don’t know what to do with myself 🤣

Hi guys, I’ve just spoke with the nurse and she’s arranged an in person appointment for Monday to take some swabs and give a urine sample. I’m so grateful she took me way more serious than when I spoke to the GP previously. Thank you ladies for the encouragement to keep at them about it 🤞🏼
Glad you are getting sorted! Fingers crossed for you xx
Does anyone else symptom spot like crazy in the TWW? I got confirmation of ovulation and I’m currently 5DPO, have been really crampy and had more CM than usual.
I am the WORST for symptom spotting. Once you start you can’t stop 🤣

Just received confirmation from my doctor that I’ve got PCOS. I’ve been off contraception for a year now. Haven’t been trying every month due to husbands job but also had months of no bleeding.. which I now have an answer for - after many negative tests and crushed hopes. I wish I didn’t wait so long to get checked, I put lack of periods down to stress etc.

I’m just a bit lost really... where do I go from here? TTC for my first child and I don’t really know what this means now, I feel a bit clueless.

My doctor explained that it can happen naturally but I also might need some help so just to keep trying... should I have asked any questions?

I don’t really know what I’m after from posting this.. does anyone have any advise of where to go from here?
I also got diagnosed with PCOS in July last year. My cycles were quite regular but long (62 days) and I was told by the doctor I almost definitely wasn’t ovulating with a cycle that long. They said they would refer me to sub fertility after six months of ‘proper’ trying (we hadn’t been using contraception for a year at that point). Anyway I pretty much thought the trying was a formality and I would need treatment but I got pregnant on my second tracked cycle. In my first one I ovulated on day 51, but on my second I ovulated on day 30 so I am assuming if I had not gotten pregnant that would have been a 42 day cycle not 62. Unless you can ovulate 30 days before a period 🤷🏻‍♀️ I have been trying to lose some weight so maybe it was that. Anyway, my point is I thought it was impossible and we even decided to stop trying for a while then I found out I was pregnant. So absolutely possible to get pregnant naturally.
The thing that led to me being diagnosed was not getting a period in April last year, I went three months with no bleeding. They gave me a course of provera which seemed to start things off again but I still had the long cycles.
They say using OPKs isn’t accurate for PCOS but I would do it for a couple of cycles anyway and see what you’re working with- if you only get one peak per cycle then it can be a good indicator of when to have sex- my doctor told me to not bother and just have sex every other day 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ No thanks lol
So my advice- tell the doctor you are trying and get them to confirm when they will refer you to fertility. Track your cycles and see what you can gleam from that- OPKs and bbt. And try the natural PCOS ‘remedy’ which is healthy eating and exercise if you have any weight to lose. It will be ok xx

When I was pregnant with my son I felt like my period was gonna come on but it never did. The feelings are very much the same I believe so fingers crossed you get no show of AF 🤞🏻
Thankyou ❤

I bought some tests today and going to try to pluck up the courage to test in the morning (if AF doesn't appear overnight).

@elloelloello, let us know how you get on ❤
I will do, thank you ❤ I’ve left a clear blue next to the toilet so I remember to do it when I wake up
😂
Good luck for the morning, 🥰🥰🥰
Good luck to you both ❤

Hi everyone,

looking for some advice and reassurance! I have tested with a frer this morning and got a very light positive. I’m not due on AF until Monday however I only tested because I have been feeling sick and vomited yesterday which isn’t like me. My concern is should my like not be much darker as I’m only 4 days away from AF or could I have ovulated later than I thought? My cycle is around 30-32 days. I’m so worried as I had a miscarriage January 😥

advice would be appreciated! thanks so much baby dust too all ❤

So sorry. Implantation could be late - it’s really hard to be in limbo but keep those fingers crossed.

Ladies talk to me about OPK’s. I didn’t want to use them initially but I feel it’s a good way to see if my body is working. I’ve bought one step strips and the clear blue advanced digital with 20 strips.

Any hints or tips? ❤
I ovulated any time from day 8 onwards. Before i realised this i was not testing till day 12 onwards and panicking cos i wasn't peaking. Because of this i was ploughing through the (v expensive) clear blue strips using 1 box a month. If you start getting flashy face i would test once in the morning and again in the evening.
It also says don't test for more than 7 days in a row even if you're getting flashy face because at that point you won't get a peak. That happened me one cycle. I became obsessed with getting a peak and never got it.
Hope this helps.
Oh and i found the amazon strips totally crap. Can't remember the name.
