I'm on CD40, still no sign of AF, latest BFN on Friday. Just want my body to do the right thing so we can start a new cycle. 🥺 Sorry, feeling well fed up this evening!

Sorry you're feeling down too @JLXRD - I'm afraid I don't know enough about OPKs to help but I can empathise on the frustration front.

Hi ladies, I’ve dipped in and out of this thread mostly just reading along and taking some comfort from all of your kindness to one another, so thank you for being a great bunch ❤

I had a MC august 2018 and have been TTC since, for a while my periods were regular but mid/late 2019 they became very irregular, anywhere from 28 days apart to 3months apart. I had been back regular since September 2020 and my last period ended 5th January 2021, but no period since. I’ve tested a few times and BFN every time so I’m confident that there’s no baby brewing.
My GP surgery won’t investigate my periods though and keep insisting that going on the pill will sort me out. I’ve declined the pill as it feels so counter productive for me, especially since the “period” you get whilst on the pill isn’t even a proper period because you don’t ovulate 😩 has anybody had a similar experience? How did you get on?
I haven’t been TTC as long as you have, but I’m in the same boat as you as in my last AF ended early January too and I have had nothing since..

My situation is slightly different as I only came off the pill early 2020 so when I had irregular periods they said it was due to my body going back to normal after the pill which I accepted for a while but then felt like something wasn’t right.

Like others have said I would definitely try and get a second opinion. I spoke regularly to the nurse at my GP and they gave me the usual of “it’ll come back naturally”. In Feb this year I had enough and decided to ask for an appointment with the doctor and explained my situation to her and straight away I had blood tests done, I’ve since had an ultrasound and more bloods booked for next week, she has also referred me to fertility. It’s come back that I have PCOS and an enlarged (or bulky lol) ovary and they’re testing if that is due to cysts too. But in 2 months from getting a second opinion I’ve learnt so much about my body and I’m so glad I did! So I would definitely recommend that second opinion if you can ♥

My hubby and I started taking these this cycle. Not sure if it contributed but it was the only thing we did differently this month. Got them on Amazon. I wouldn’t recommend them for anyone who doesn’t like swallowing pills as they are quite large 😅 hubby called them horse pills 😂

They really can be obsessive, have you tried the CB digi? It’s much easier to read (whilst more expensive) and I did mine in the morning as it uses FMU so much easier for practicality, and then did the one step on an evening as a double measure. Can you take a small dish to work to use to pee in (if possible) to do one, or do one when you get home?
Just remember it’s whatever is normal for you - some people have very slow, on set surges over a few days and some people have rapid. Mine was a peak on CD13, and then by am CD15 it was low. But my test strip wasn’t ever super, super dark, but it was darker compared to my lows, if that makes sense. Good luck ❤
total sense. I’ve never had a super dark line, it’s just a bit more prominent than the others. I’ve been paid my overtime this month (🥳) so I’m going to buy a CB digital on Friday. I have to be patient with myself; I came off the pill at 30, took me 9 months to fall pregnant and then I had a miscarriage... Then it took me another 6 months to fall pregnant with my son! I’m not sure why I am hoping for a miracle!

Hey I am so sorry it’s been stressful for you. You don’t know what direction your going. I can only imagine what your going through.
sorry to say I can’t see a line.
From what I have read on here from other women brown discharge doesn’t always indicate period but I don’t want to get your hopes up. Hopefully the other ladies can assist.

Today my AF came and I’m now starting to think maybe I need to give up in this journey to motherhood. My husband is significantly older and I’m now thinking I’m out of time. I feel like I’m in a dark place today. I have to really think about our next move. I am genuinely not ok today. I’ve had enough the last 2 years and a bit.
I’m so sorry you feel this way. It’s ok to not be ok, but I hope you have some support, as much as I know this thread helps, it’s not the same as a squeeze IRL.

Have you spoken to your GP, or perhaps a therapist to speak about how you feel so you can manage some of your feelings? Is the an option for a referall to a fertility clinic? You don’t need to do any of these things today, just a deep breath in, then our. Dark moments are hard, but the light always comes.

‘Even the darkest night will end and the sun will shine again’ 🖤

I will catch up on all the messages since I last looked.

AF has arrived. DH got me a present which he is building excitedly so I haven't told him yet as I don't want to spoil it. But I've got a lump in my throat, the tears are so close, trying so hard to keep them in and smile for a bit.

Needed to tell people, so here I am.

Cycle 17.
and we are all here for you. X

Well any day after you've missed a period should be accurate. But take a test first thing in the morning maybe 🤷🏼‍♀️

I bought some tests today and going to try to pluck up the courage to test in the morning (if AF doesn't appear overnight).

@elloelloello, let us know how you get on ❤
I will do, thank you ❤ I’ve left a clear blue next to the toilet so I remember to do it when I wake up
😂
Good luck for the morning, 🥰🥰🥰

I said earlier in the thread that Amazon had FR tests for cheap - mine were fake!
Amazon have refunded me but on my test there was no branding or indicator on it. Not trusting the faint positive I got in this case but thought I’d make you all aware ❤

Hi everyone, I've not posted much since my last cycle. I'm finding this one really hard for some reason, I'm only 5DPO but already feel like I'm preparing for disappointment, I've been so tearful for the last 24 hours (even cried myself to sleep which is so silly). I'm so happy for everyone who is getting their BFP but it's all I can think about. 😖 Anyone else not feeling great?
Hope your feeling better today ? I was the same since November. Lockdown has not helped at all. Literally I was the same crying at least once a week. I say it’s better to release the emotions rather then keeping it in. Remember it’s ok to cry.
Now some restrictions have been lifted I am so busy. So I don’t think about it. I only check on this thread but at the moment I feel like I can’t keep up. I feel blessed I am busier now so I don’t think about it 24/7.
Have you been busier recently that restrictions are lifted slightly ?
Do something nice for yourself today have a bath, eat some chocolate, go to a nail or hair salon.
Good luck x

I’ve been trying to write something coherent for a little while this morning but all I can say is that if my AF turns up in the next few days it will be so shit. So so so shit. I’ve felt sad the past few months when it has but for some reason I’m really clinging onto it this month. I’m not even expecting to be pregnant as I think I ovulated seriously early and I don’t really want to test as the outcome will be the outcome if I test or not no matter how many millions I spend on tests. This will be our 5th cycle, 2 were “trying but not trying” and I know I’m in the luckiest luckiest position in comparison to some but somehow it still feels like the most crushing feeling. Anyhoo my heart goes out to everyone feeling it right now no matter what your circumstance, it’s alllll shit.
I’m always thinking if you, and sending you a big hug.
It’s ok to feel lucky but also pissed off. Every thing you feel is so valid and I hope so much you get what you want. Sending so much love ❤

Hi! I’ve been a lurker for a while, we are ttc number 2.
I had been trying to get my coil removed since September 2019, needed an operation in the end to get it out, this was in December. We’ve been trying since and no luck.

I feel so down about it today, my first was so easy & naively I thought it would be the same this time!

I’ve got the worst migraine. Tried swimming this morning to shift it but this is still the migraine I posted about last week.

I totally empathise with you. I feel that everyone around me is just falling pregnant, and I feel helpless. I’m the same as you, I feel very blessed in comparison to other people but I still feel crushed.

Someone else mentioned in this thread how they planned their pregnancy around timelines and I feel as if I’ve done this too. My little boy starts at school and it would be perfect if I could fall pregnant so I could have a year off to support him with school and be home with baby. Sounds RIDICULOUS to type it out
Firstly, that migraine sounds bloody awful. I’m a frequent migraine sufferer and there is nout worse so my heart goes out to you.

Secondly, that was most probably me saying about planning to timelines because I’m a proper head case when it comes to that sort of thing 😂 to the point where if we don’t conceive this month I will have to skip a month because if we conceived next month we would be due a few days after my sons birthday. Yes I’ve already worked it out 😅 I know it’s crazy but we’re not crazy, I think it’s fairly normal to feel that way. Sending you love small potato, hang in there.

I’m always thinking if you, and sending you a big hug.
It’s ok to feel lucky but also pissed off. Every thing you feel is so valid and I hope so much you get what you want. Sending so much love ❤
Ah! Grumpycat! So much love to you. Was absolutely thrilled to see your lovely news over on the pregnancy thread this morning (I read through them all the time like a weirdo preggo lady stalker 🤪). Hope you’re keeping well! Thank you for your kind words, sometimes it’s hard to feel like your feelings are valid in these sorts of situations. Hoping to join you on the other thread soon! 💞
