Hey ladies, still waiting impatiently for my period to come. Its a month since my miscarriage and I'm desperate to start trying again. Was anyone in a similar situation? How long did it take for your period to start again? I feel its coming but nothing to show for it just yet 😕

I’m CD15 now, the peak has been and gone so now just a waiting game. Not feeling very hopeful this month though and it’s a bugger because my cycles always vary slightly in length so not really sure when to expect The ovulation sticks are definitely an unhealthy obsession 🤣

AF has arrived, but not so disappointed this month as I ovulated so late in the month so kind of expected it.
I’d definitely recommend natural cycles, the predictions are pretty much spot on! Even with PCOS 😊 x

After asking you guys for advice over the weekend - I’ve got a telephone appointment later in the week with the practice Sister. I’m feeling a lot more positive about this appointment, as she is the nurse practitioner rather than a GP she seems to have a lot more time to go through everything with the patients rather than rushing to get you out the door. Also pre covid all the oldies rave about her in the waiting room 🤣 fingers crossed she can refer me for some tests 🤞🏼

I’m around ovulation time at the moment - if I don’t get pregnant this month I’ll be fuming. My husband is off work and he’s on the prowl 😩😩😂😂

What does it mean though? 😂
Oh sorry I didn’t realise you were asking 😅 I just thought you meant to include it. Two week wait but it should actually be called two week but feels like eternity wait 😂

So fed up and really starting to believe it will never happen. My husbands brother and his wife got pregnant accidentally and all anyone talks about is the baby, lots of Covid rules being broken for all the family to visit as much as they want, I’ve worked a really stressful frontline job the whole way through and just feel like I’m being punished and they’re rubbing it in my face. Which I know they’re not, but I have to walk away from conversations about that baby or anyone else pregnant because my heart just can’t cope

Does anyone know the average time to conceive? I know 92% in a year is what the NHS say but my brain just keeps going to, if I was fertile, I’d be pregnant by now 😔
Ah I'm the same. I find it really really hard to be around pregnant friends or babies. Then I feel awful for it as its not their fault. But it is just painful.
My MIL has passed me by and now just talks about new SIL having a baby. I'm obviously taking too long. I can laugh now but at others times it breaks my heart!

Also, I tried the whole not telling DH when ovulating but I'm pretty sure it's still obvious 😂 also, if he didn't know and he was knackered from work he'd fall asleep early or be like not tonight I'm knackered sorry will tommorow, a couple of times as he just thought it was a normal night. Then I'd be fuming!!!

I know what you mean, I’d never wanted children until I’d turned 32 and then it hits you, even though I had tests a couple of years ago for PCOS I didn’t think about conceiving too much! I’ve been off the pill for 5 years and still no baby, although we weren’t trying until December last year, I always hoped we’d have a happy accident rather than having to try and getting disheartened each month your period arrives!! My hubby and I had a convo about IVF and I don’t think we’d go down that route personally, but who knows at the end of the 12 months before we go to the doctors. I personally think my progesterone is too low as I have allthe symptoms, but I don’t think that is as recognised in the UK as in the USA.
I’ll admit being a bit blasé about it all. I didn’t meet my partner until I was 35 so although I knew I’d like a baby it also wasn’t at the forefront of my mind, I wanted to enjoy our relationship not just get pregnant ASAP because my biological clock was ticking. My Mum didn’t have me until she was 40 and my partners Mum had her daughter at 48 so I just thought it would happen. Obviously not. I need to make peace with it I think because I don’t want to spend the rest of my life thinking what if, or regretting not trying sooner etc but I do feel quite sad about it

*Exactly this* 👆Everyone has their own problems, but having age and money (in the form of the NHS) on your side makes this that much easier.

Thank you so much for replying, I really appreciate it x
And I’m definitely not criticising them, I spent my twenties dreading getting pregnant....how times change. I just think people start to lose perspective a bit, not helped by the fact people on social media seem to blink and they’re pregnant! Hoping we all get the outcome we want x

Just in case anyone is in the same place as me and has no idea what the eff is going on after coming off the pill, this video helped me a lot in realising actually it is normal to have CM that would indicate ovulation and temps that are every where!

Sorry about your miscarriage :( I also had a mc in February, my period started again 4 weeks to the day but it was a surgical mc, not sure if that makes any difference? Hope yours comes soon! We have just started trying again but think my period is going to come any day now! 😩
Thanks ladies, yeah tbf mine was a surgical one too. I found out a month ago today but the procedure was 3 days later. I think I just need a bit more patience. Just keep thinking where I should be now...would have had my scan and be planning. Now I'm just an emotional mess today and can't stop thinking about it. Worried about being pregnant again and the worries that go with that and then worried about not getting pregnant quick enough. Head fu%k isnt it. So sorry for your losses too ladies, wishing you the best of luck on this TTC journey! Xxx

Back from the nurse, feeling positive about it. Should have results of the swabs by the end of the week and if they are clear the nurse will get the doctor to refer me for scans. I have been told to lose some more weight but that was to be expected and I have been making progress with that already.

Anyone else half way through tww? I'm due on Sunday, not entirely sure when I ovulated as didn't use opks this month. Trying to stay strong and not test early this cycle but its so hard 😂

@grumpycat feeling really good actually thanks lovely! Really trying not to obsess over anything this month. I am meant to be ovulating over Easter weekend but deciding whether or not to use any OPK tests as don’t want to be obsessing again this whole cycle - felt like I’d totally lost my marbles last month and I hated myself for it! Was just totally not myself at all and don’t want it to be that way again. Have redownload the Ovia fertility app anyway so tracking on that and just going with the flow 😊 how are you doing?? Xx

i had period type cramps Friday (low OPK in the morning, flashing smiley) and then I noticed my CM change so did another OPK which was +ive and then clear blue went to static.
I had a few periods type cramps yesterday and then I had the weirdest pop in my lower left side. My first thought was, was that my egg?! But surely not?!
So I would think cramps would be gearing up for O as everything thickens and gets ready!
Also had to re read UPS a few times like, WHAT?! And then I realised it meant unprotected sex 😂🤦🏻‍♀️
The pop is the egg being released, it’s literally it bursting out of the follicle. I get it every month, normally alternates sides but sometimes it can be both

It’s called mittelschmertz

Awww good luck. You must be going crazy. That negative you get when period is due but it has not came is the worst. As you sit there thinking there’s something wrong with the test, the time you took it, maybe you don’t have enough HCG hormones. Plus your body and mind play tricks on you.
You think getting pregnant is simple.

I am on the TWW. I wish someone could knock me out for 2 weeks and I wake up knocked up haha. I am finding things to do to occupy my time.
Hard I tell you very hard.
TWW over here too, I swear time is going slower. 🙈 Sending positive vibes to everyone in the same boat.

Trying not to symptom spot but my boobs are *so* painful today, even the water from the shower was almost unbearable. 😬

My husband is one of 5 (blended family!) and all of his siblings are 4/5years apart. It’s hard when I see my friend popping out kids. I put a post on FB about my son getting into school that we chose, and two people just said “time for another!”

Fuck off honestly!
People are totally unreal aren’t they. Other than the obvious as to why those sorts of comments are shitty on every level...if you’d have been pregnant within a year of having your first then there’d be “wow, you’re mad!” or “again?! already?!” Makes me so mad. Got all my fingers crossed for you lovely xxx

I’m really struggling ...
there’s pregnancy everywhere and here I am sat in my bathroom on the floor at 2:55am because even after YEARS of trying we still haven’t managed, we’ve had now 5 miscarriages...
just feels like it’s not meant to be..

doesn’t help that every night this week I’ve had a dream that I’ve given birth to a small foetus you make out every little body part and I hold them close until I wake up... 💔
It’s an incredibly tough experience when there are a lot of pregnancies around you either in person or online, especially after personal loss. I’m sure a few of us can relate to how you feel and offer you our love and support.

I’m really sorry about your loss’ 💗 if you’re interested in talking to somebody about your experiences and the dreams you’re having, Tommy’s the charity have a great team of people you can call or email for a chat ❤

I’m sending you lots of love ❤

Ah! Grumpycat! So much love to you. Was absolutely thrilled to see your lovely news over on the pregnancy thread this morning (I read through them all the time like a weirdo preggo lady stalker 🤪). Hope you’re keeping well! Thank you for your kind words, sometimes it’s hard to feel like your feelings are valid in these sorts of situations. Hoping to join you on the other thread soon! 💞
Hugs right back and thank you so much ❤🥰 You’ll be on that thread soon enough! I have every faith and it’s deffo not entirely crazy because I deffo did it too 😂

Promise all your feelings are valid, even the anger the frustration and everything in-between. It just proves how much you want it and care so much about it and it’s so difficult to not be in control of your own body and plans. Hang in there girl you’re doing utterly amazing.

You all bloody are. ❤
