Hope everyone’s okay.
I took the first steps and contacted my GP regarding ttc. Having bloods done and also an ultrasound to rule out pcos.

I’m 7 days DPO , I’ve had short luteal phases in months previous so I’m praying this time it’s long enough & also that I’m lucky enough. I’m trying not to think about it & im not gonna test until the day my periods due if I even get that far 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Argh so after having a miscarriage in november and having some time to recover i fell pregnant again in June and miscarried today unfortunately. I truly am heartbroken as both times i had spotting around 5-6 weeks so as soon as i saw that i just knew, despite having a scan yesterday and was told everything was fine! How many miscarriages is too many? Is it 3 before you get help? Im now extremely petrified it will happen again. The first one was via d&c as it was a missed one. This one was at home naturally. I feel such a failure and i genuinely do not know how people carry on.
I’m so sorry to read this. I too had my first miscarriage late last year and my second 6 weeks ago so I do understand your devastation and fear about the next time (hoping there will be a next time for us both).

I really hope your physical recovery is smooth, if nothing else 😔

Hi ladies. Hope everyone’s okay as can be. ❤

I just wanted to ask that anyone who has been to see a doctor/specialist ect about fertility. How many cycles did you wait before doing so? I know the NHS says a year of trying. Also how long did you have to wait before getting tests ect. Xxx
It may only be the case in Ireland, but depending on your age, if you are over 35 they say 6 months before you should see a doctor, and 12 months if you are younger than that.

If you have endo / PCOS etc, they recommend 6 months also.

I went to the doctor after 4 months - I have endo and my life was being ruined by heavy periods and terrible pain once they removed my coil. 14 months in, and after many ovarian stimulation cycles, surgeries, HCGs and too many pelvic ultrasounds to count, we are about to embark on our first cycle of IVF.

Thank you, that’s helped and I have chilled out a bit now since this morning thankfully. My husband thinks I’m being a bit crazy with all the worrying but he hasn’t read up so much and isn’t so aware of how often things don’t work out.

I know I need to be calmer. I keep saying to myself that right now I am pregnant and if I’m not going to stay pregnant then there is nothing I can do to change that no matter what dpo I am, but it’s just so hard 🥺
Of course you're going to worry! The internet can be a lovely space (i.e. this thread!), but I found being able to google anything and everything put me in a bit of black hole. Everythning I've read is definitely going to weigh on my mind if I do get pregnant again.

Right now, you're definitely pregnant. 😁I think husbands are there to think you're crazy whether you're pregnant or not haha!

I’m so sorry darling girl. Take this evening for you, pamper yourself up, get some treats and take it easy. I’m sending you all the love in the world and all the hope that Father’s Day 2022 has more promise than this one ❤❤
Thankyou so much my lovely lady. It makes me cry when people are so kind to me 😭 here’s hoping 🤍

Just wanted to say hello and hopefully join the conversation here.

I’m very new to all online TTC communities (will hopefully feel comfortable with the acronyms soon!) and wasn’t expecting to be in this situation as until I unexpectedly fell pregnant last year I wasn’t sure if I definitely wanted children. I’d got to 33 years old without any strong feelings either way. Sadly I lost that pregnancy at 7.5 weeks, since when I’ve been just... desperate. So many people told me their first pregnancy ended in an early loss that I somehow assumed I just needed to get pregnant again and this time it would work out. It took me 6 months and then I lost that pregnancy too, at only 6 weeks. I’m 5 weeks on from that now but fairly sure I haven’t ovulated yet as I get very obvious signs that are yet to happen. Waiting impatiently.

I don’t really know where I go from here, and I’m absolutely petrified at the thought of another loss (which almost seems inevitable if there is a next time), but I’m so hoping to conceive again. Also hoping for everybody here to get their positives too.
Welcome 🤍 I’m so sorry for your losses. Always here if you want to chat. I had a loss recently too. This is a lovely community and I’ve got lots of good advice from here xx

5dpo today and just feel like I know I’m not going to be pregnant this month. The way I have both previous cycles.

Do you guys get this? I’m only on cycle 3 ttc but I just keep having the feeling it’s not going to happen for us. I don’t know if I’m just not allowing myself hope because I don’t want to feel the disappointment, but then I also have a weird worry about pessimism affecting my chances due to stress or something.

Anyone else have a continuous sense of doom? Did anyone have it but go on to conceive? I know I’m not psychic haha, but also I just don’t feel it’s normal to be this pessimistic 🥺
I'm also now on cycle 3 and I feel the exact same. I was so naive and thought it would just happen and when it did I was so shocked... Then I miscarried at what would've been 5+4. I don't trust my body now. I feel like it's failed me.

Now I'm worried its just not going to happen on its on. Don't even think the sperm sniffed my egg this month let alone touch it.

Makes me feel a little better that someone feels the same! X

Hi everyone! So I’m about 9-10dpo! Had some one step tests left over so decided to test! I know super early!! Very faint line with pinky tinge and then dipped one in water and of course a line! Don’t even know why I bother with one step tests as I’ve had this before anyways I thrown the rest of the spare tests out and now have no tests!! I can’t deal with the constant second guessing and line squinting each month so have decided to stop torturing myself and wait!! My longest AF since MC has been 39days so going to try and hold off until 39days to test if no AF! X

Feeling crap today.

Done my 3 week post miscarriage pregnancy test as they requested and it’s still positive. A faint one but definitely there, looks like the first few tests I did when I found out. The bleeding had finally stopped so I really thought there wouldn’t be a line. I’m in isolation so can’t do anything anyway but if it’s still positive next week I’ll have to ring the EPU and I really don’t want to have to go back 😔

I just feel shit. Like it’s never ending and I can’t move forward until it’s over. Don’t even know if this makes any sense. I just need a moan.
Give them a ring anyway sweet. They may want to see you anyway as you could be retaining stuff. A week is a long time in terms of infection. We have pathways in place for a reason so they should (🤞🏼) have a way for you to be seen even though you’re isolating. Sending you lots of love x

Has anybody ever found out they’re pregnant but had no symptoms at all?
Yup, it was 5 years ago now, I had given up hope as it was the month before starting IVF but my period was just.... late..... that's all. Maybe then my boobs grew a bit and by week 7 I felt sick. None of this desperate "symptom spotting" I do now

Anyway, HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who got a BFP this month, let's hope it's catching!! ❤

I’m just feeling so down today.

I’ve been crying on and off and feel like I can’t stop. I should be 20 weeks today and it should be so happy and exciting to be halfway and it’s just shit. I don’t even know why I’m posting this, I just need to say it to someone. I just can’t fathom how life can be so cruel. I know I’m never going to forget it, but I need someone to tell me the pain won’t last forever and there will be a day where my heart won’t hurt quite so bad 😞💔
I’m so sorry - you’re always welcome to let your thoughts and feelings out here. We might be a bunch of strangers but just know we’re always with you every step of the way of this sometimes very cruel journey. Sending love and light your way today🤍

Had a bit of a break from obsessing over ttc as I still have had no AF since the very end of last year. Got to the point where every twinge/cramp I was hoping it was AF coming rather than the chance of a BFP. I just want my body to function normally 💔
I started taking Inositol this week like @fluffybaffling recommended.. so I hope something kicks in 🤞🏼 Xx

for various reasons, I think I am going to step away from this thread until I feel in a place where I can try again ❤

I’ve made a thread about loss, as I do want to talk about it and process my feelings but I’m just not sure here is the right place. Hopefully soon I will be strong enough to be back with you ladies here. Thank you so much for all your lovely messages, I have my fingers crossed tightly for you all 💖

if any of you want to discuss your losses or need to vent about loss, please come chat with me xx
That's such a lovely idea. It's a thread that's definitely needed. See you over there.xx

Congratulations @Sunshinegal. Lovely news! ❤X

Slightly off topic, but has anyone suffered with hormonal/cystic acne? My skin is perfect on my cheeks/nose/forehead but really breaks out around my chin and jaw.

If so, have you found any solutions? Either diet wise or products?

I’ve had a couple of products prescribed but I feel like the doctors aren’t taking me seriously. It’s so hard to find active products that actually work but are safe while TTC!
I had acne really bad after coming off of the pill. It lasted about a year then it got better. My skin isn't what it was though. Were you on the pill at all? It is hard to get anything much from the doctor when ttc! It made me Miserable. Hope your okay x

I haven't been on here much lately. I'm in cycle 18 and feeling okay, kind of feel defeated by the whole thing. Husband fell asleep one of the important nights in the fertile window and usually id be fuming. I just didn't have it in me. We did it a few times, not as much as we should have. But then I told myself, people get pregnant by accident in one go, and I've done everything I should for the 17 months before this and it's still not happened, so I just didn't have it in me to stress or be into it as much this month. Maybe next month. Or maybe I need a break. Don't know if I could do that though!

Can I ask if anyone here over a year TTC has never had a hint of a positive? I haven't had anything and this worries me. I know of lots of women that have sadly had miscarriages which is terrible, but not of many that have literally had nothing? X

Morning all- I’ve a quick question. Anyone putting off their covid vaccine while TTC? My age group is opening up this week but I don’t know if I should go ahead or I should wait. I know there are so many conflicting opinions & I don’t want to start a vaccine debate either but I’m on the fence.

I feel I could of wrote this myself. I’m not at 20 cycles but feel everything you feel. I don’t have a lot to say as I’m still in that post af phase, but I just want to say WE understand. Xx
Thankyou. It's such a lonely thing and my heart is hurting. I don't know how to deal with feeling like this so I just keep busy and keep it to myself. It's just getting worse because it's obviously not happening and I feel like I need to let it out.... But to who? Nobody understands in real life.
Your post described everything I’ve been through. Infertility is so cruel. I won’t say too much on a TTC thread but after months and months of trying and a miscarriage, we finally conceived. There is always hope. Feel free to message me if you wanted to vent to someone who understands xxx
Thankyou. It is cruel. It is making me feel like a failure. I am trying so hard to keep positive and busy but inside my heart is just hurting and I just want it to stop.
Can I ask how long till you got your good news? X

@Celeste no I haven't, but I think if I have a chemical again I will definitely push to have tests for it.

@JLXRD i think it's so difficult. Ive put in around a stone since March last year and it's 100% due to lockdown etc. I used to go to the gym 3 times a week, and yes I could've done home workouts, but i got out of the habit and here we are! Doesn't help I'm only 5'2"

Yes, I think it's definitely to do with the estrogen! I'm trying to lose some too. We got this 💪🏻

So sorry you're going through this. When I got stomach cramps, I checked my CM... It told me what I knew in my heart and unfortunately I had a chemical.

I would contact the EPU. Its not something we have where I live, but I wish we did. I know it's difficult, but please don't let one bad experience dictate your welfare.❤

Half a stone is amazing @Celeste!! It's the best way to maintain healthily too.

I'm pretty sure after coming off the mini pill in December it's contributed to weight gain. 🙄
I have had two successful pregnancies. My last miscarriage I really didn’t know how to check for anything and tbh I still don’t now. How would I go about checking for myself? I just went to EPU I had an early scan that detected very early pregnancy I had to keep going back to check one day there was an heart beat the next nothing and he was the coldest uncompassionate man. I swore I would never go back again. They were pretty rough, it was such an awful experience. When I got pregnant with my youngest after the mc I didn’t go And it caused me to have the worst anxiety through out the entire pregnancy I just could not enjoy it. So my anxiety with this now knowing I’m pregnant and these stomach pains 😔.

Congratulations!

I woke up to my ‘peak’ on CB, and a fairly dark second line on the strip. Would you count this as positive or keep testing to see if it gets darker? The app still says ‘low’. So annoyed because we won’t get chance for sex today I don’t think!View attachment 719350
I would keep testing, it's not quite as dark as the control line yet. Although, I'm not sure how the CB tests work in comparison.
