Hey everyone, can I join?
9 unsuccessful cycles in a row. I've been having really heavy periods so I'm considering making a doctors appointment. I did in the past and got told I had a couple of cysts but that was it, no follow-up. Starting to think there is something going on with me.

Hi ladies. Hope everyone’s okay as can be. ❤

I just wanted to ask that anyone who has been to see a doctor/specialist ect about fertility. How many cycles did you wait before doing so? I know the NHS says a year of trying. Also how long did you have to wait before getting tests ect. Xxx
I started trying at the start of July 2020 and went to see my Dr in December 2020 and got diagnosed with PCOS. She said if I was still trying in March without any success she would refer me for further tests. March came around and she sent off the referral but I’ve literally only just had my initial consultation and booked in for further scan etc. So even though I was seen quite quickly due to PCOS it’s ended up being just over a year of trying before getting the ball rolling due to waiting lists etc xx

Cramps can be a good sign too! I had cramps after O - I’ve got my fingers crossed tightly for both of you @Mel17 @JLXRD 🖤🖤
As you said implantation can take like 10-14 days after conception so you’re still in with a huge chance as it’s early days

🖤🖤🖤

I had been on my period from April - August, constantly, and went to doctor to discuss something else, mentioned about TTC and she said you have to wait a whole 12 months of consecutively trying before they’ll do anything. Easier said than done when 4 of those months I was constantly bleeding 😡 she didn’t even gibe Me any pills to stop it! Luckily I went back and someone else did 😅

I have PCOS so thought as it was longer than 6 months they may have referred me, but obviously not! and I’m 33 so not got that much time before I’m 35!

I don't live in England specifically, I live on a small island and my doctor actually advised me not to have the vaccine if ttc and that was around March time. They didn't specifically say why other than I'm not in a high risk age category.

They said my husband should so at least there's some protection in the household. Luckily we haven't had covid although it is on the rise here, but I found it interesting that I was advised against it.

Yes I was going to attach an image of a faint line to genuinely get people’s opinions (as I don’t test often and had never used FR before) but I posted it and I could see the images regardless so I deleted it as I know it’s difficult seeing positive pregnancy tests. It’s essentially like an announcement. I actually downloaded an app called ‘Pregnancy Test Checker’ where it’s like a constant feed and people upload images of tests and others vote whether it looks positive or negative. Which was very helpful to me the past couple of days! It also allows you to play about with contrasts and make the image a “negative” to try and see the line, however if you’ve to resort to that I’d guess it’s a negative test IMO.

I’m in my 20’s so thankfully time should be on my side. I have had doc appointment in recent months as my period was really out of whack but they couldn’t find any reason why.
admittedly I am overweight so my local sub-fertility department at hospital won’t see me until I lose weight (which I am - it’s just taking forever 👎🏼)
Ironically all of the weight I’ve gained has been since the MC, 2019 I really went down a dark hole about it all, I don’t want to drag the thread down as overall I am doing so much better now but weeks like this still affect me.

but yep, pre-seed is on route from Amazon along with a cup due to arrive on Thursday… don’t think they’ll get much use that day though
The cup has changed my life ... even though I've only used it once so far... No more ickiness. Yay! 😂

I woke up this morning and took my temp as I do every day, then after I recorded it my app put me back to 12dpo rather than 14dpo. I know that makes sense as that’s what the other apps were saying but it means rather than being past the date of AF (13dpo) I now have to wait until tomorrow night before I feel even slightly safe 😩😩 it’s just filled me with worry and now even in the past hour I’ve been awake I’m just worried about every twinge being AF cramps.

It also means I tested positive at 9dpo which I suppose calms the other worries I have been having which is that my tests look too light for the dpo I am.

I tested again this morning and the lines are definitely getting darker every day which I’m taking as a good thing, plus the fact I’ve still had no spotting, but I just want to get to Friday already please (14dpo) 🤞🏻🙏🏻

Sorry for the ramble, I know I should be happy but I’m just so worried about it all going wrong now 😭
Easier said than done, but try not to worry or put any added stress on yourself. I've not tried BBT so not 100% sure how it works everything out, but just remember that although we have OPKs and other ways of measuring when ovulation happens it still could happen +/- a day or so.

It's amazing you found out at 9dpo though and I'd take that as a good sign. I didn't get a positive until 13dpo and I was worried it showed so late. Unfortunately my suspicions were correct.

Keep those positive thoughts!! You got this. If it helps, keep testing for darker lines, but remember it takes something like 48 hrs for hcg to rise.

Third cycle off the pill. First month I ovulated CD 32, second CD19. Now I’m CD20 and again no LH rise yet. I’m so frustrated as I really thought after last month I was going to regulate but nope 😩 it’s so annoying having no idea when it’s going to happen.

Hi everyone,

As expected my period is starting. I saw a little bit when I last went to the toilet. So I know what I'll see when I next go obviously. Ridiculously I have been holding it in as I just don't want to see it. I don't know why, I knew it would come, I had no doubt, but i know how I'm going to feel still and I'm on the verge of tears already.
Anyone else do silly things like this? I've literally seen a bit of blood, I don't know why Im still hiding from it.
I guess the awful fact that it really isn't happening, so much so I can't even imagine it anymore.
So very soon I know I'll officially be cycle 20.

Never had a hint of anything in those 20 long cycles. Will I ever get to see two lines? My heart is hurting that it could mean i actually may not. All this joy I see other people experience at falling pregnant, an amazing surprise, it happening exactly as planned. There is no joy in TTC. All I know from wanting to be a mum so much is the pain now.

My heart is hurting. This journey is so very hard.

Sorry for bringing the thread down ❤
Started my period today as well, cycle 26 now I think, I've lost count. Gonna book in for an IUI in September, just need something to happen before I lose my mind

I’ve had an influx of births and pregnancy announcements today! What’s happening!!

I feel old just asking this… but is it a new, young person thing, to announce someone else’s birth on Instagram?! I have a colleague who’s just given birth, she’s early 20’s and she has a ton of friends who haven’t met the baby, but are putting it all over their stories announcing the babies birth 🤣 I find it so weird?! It’s not your baby.

I've found out 4 people, 2 of which are close friends are pregnant in the last couple of days and I'm trying my best not let it get at me.
Done quite well so far, I've been far worse about other pregnancies. However I'm 13 dpo and know that I will not feel the same very soon..... I will be a mess.
Especially when they are accidental/haven't tried for long and then there's me still trying over here.
Until you TTC and until you struggle with it, I don't think anyone can understand the emotional roller-coaster it is. I actually find it all exhausting.
nothing wrong with protecting your heart 😌 I’ve been on both sides of this so know how hard infertility is. Now that I’m pregnant, I’m acutely aware of how others feel. I haven’t done any grand announcements on social media etc. I would also understand if friends who are trying to conceive keep their distance x

@JLXRD do you think it's a chemical or a mc or??
My first test said 3+ weeks i nearly cried bc it should have only been 1-2 weeks and the leaflet said they can get it wrong off its twins or an ectopic, having previously had an ectopic i convinced myself this was another one, it wasn't, it was a healthy pregnancy now 10wk old baby. That's the day i learned that those pregnancy indicators just get it wrong. Im so sorry you're going through this anxiety and fear and i hope this too is wrong. Never mind those stupid strips they're open up interpretation and subjective. Unfortunately it's a waiting game whatever the outcome. Xxx

It’s so frustrating isn’t it when you DTD at what you think are the right times & it still doesn’t work. 😞

I’ve a question regarding your partners, how are they finding the process? Mine told me today he’s finding it stressful which is leading to DTD issues. Now I literally tell him as little as possible re testing cus I know it’s stresses him but he’s not stupid. I’d never jump on this much otherwise 🤣 I guess I just wondering if anyone else is the same and any way to relax about it.
Mine is a lot more laid back than me obviously, but when I took a test today and it was negative he was clearly upset... 😞 He seems optimistic trying again but i can tell it's upsetting him every time we get a BFN!

Looks like the bleeding has stopped and although it won't be classed as AF, I'm ready to get back to it and hopefully it's not affected ovulation. Let's do this!🙌🏻 (this is me trying to keep my positive pants on!)

I know this is ridiculous but my partners friend has just had a baby girl and named her one of my favourite names and now I feel sad the name is gone 🤣🙈 I know you can use the same names but literally they are like best friends and it’s a pretty unusual name…

wahhhhh
I so know what you mean!!!! It happened to me. My best friend named her son the name I'd always spoken about. I was pissed off at first, but I guess it's just one of them.

Time to name thinking again 😊

You’re not alone at all, I do the same and hold out that bit of hope that maybe it’s just not my period - when I know full well it is.
Please don’t say sorry, we’re all here for you on this thread. Sending love xxx

I can also relate to having weight struggles, and since we started TTC I’ve gained more just through emotional eating. I am in the overweight BMI range too.

I think I read that they advise you to try and be a healthy weight when TTC because estrogen is stored in fat so the more fat you have, the more likely a hormonal imbalance is.

I’m going to make a conscious effort to lose some weight this month so hopefully that will help.

13 dpo and I caved. BFN. 😔I found the tiniest bit of blood in my cm yday so maybe that was implantation? I don't know anymore. I kinda just want AF to come now and hopefully my cycle days go back to normal. I'm not even entirely sure when AF is due as this cycle has been so messed up. Maybe tomorrow?
