I had it really badly while on the pill. I bought a light therapy mask and it made so much difference!Slightly off topic, but has anyone suffered with hormonal/cystic acne? My skin is perfect on my cheeks/nose/forehead but really breaks out around my chin and jaw.
If so, have you found any solutions? Either diet wise or products?
I’ve had a couple of products prescribed but I feel like the doctors aren’t taking me seriously. It’s so hard to find active products that actually work but are safe while TTC!
Wow, amazing!! CongratulationsI took a digital test and it was positive so I’m taking this as my BFP. I’m in shock because I’ve been prepared by doctors for years to anticipate struggles with falling pregnant due to my endo and I’m so lucky to have ovulated only 3 weeks off the pill.
So just some stats - I ovulated on CD20, I got BFNs on 8 and 9DPO and currently I just have very sensitive boobs and cramps. I got a touch of pale pink spotting but that’s it. I’ll lurk around on this thread a bit longer since I’m nervous about it sticking and just a bit nervy in general but fingers crossed!!
I think that's what drives you the most crazy with TTC, PMT is every symptom of pregnancy, according to the internet!!@Louk hahahaI feel like I'm getting all delusional if I'm honest. I hope I'm not Meredith Grey with a hostile uterus.... GROW BABY GROW.
Took a test - BFN but if I am 9dpo then I knowwwww it's still early. I just want to know if my head is making up symptoms or if they're actually real.
My mother-in-law is selling her house to move away (we live on an island) and houses are taking forever to go through at the moment... but I want to give her something to stay. We've spoken about possibly TTC, but we don't want to actively tell her bcus that's weird. I guess that's why I'm feeling the pressure.
Yup, my hubby has freaked out. The first time we had unprotected sex he actually went "oh shit, what have I done???"but it's so hard when you have to and neither of you wants to do it, then you get in a massive fight over who goes on top
then you still have to do it but now you're both knackered and furious

Oooh, do a test and show us the pictures!!! I'm bored, not pregnant myself and I need to squint at something someone else has peed onWell after having super irregular periods for months it finally seemed like it was evening out last month… I’m now 3 days late and don’t know if I should test or wait it out. I know it makes sense to test I’m just scared I’ll be letting myself down yet again
Have been thinking about you, I hope you had a some what relaxing day. Sending you a big hugI’ve seen so many announcements today
Today is always a struggle for me, but feel like it’s even worse this year. Sending love to anyone who needs it today![]()
I’m in a similar position to you although haven’t tested yet13 dpo and I caved. BFN.I found the tiniest bit of blood in my cm yday so maybe that was implantation? I don't know anymore. I kinda just want AF to come now and hopefully my cycle days go back to normal. I'm not even entirely sure when AF is due as this cycle has been so messed up. Maybe tomorrow?
The photos on my phone are FULL of test photosYes I was going to attach an image of a faint line to genuinely get people’s opinions (as I don’t test often and had never used FR before) but I posted it and I could see the images regardless so I deleted it as I know it’s difficult seeing positive pregnancy tests. It’s essentially like an announcement. I actually downloaded an app called ‘Pregnancy Test Checker’ where it’s like a constant feed and people upload images of tests and others vote whether it looks positive or negative. Which was very helpful to me the past couple of days! It also allows you to play about with contrasts and make the image a “negative” to try and see the line, however if you’ve to resort to that I’d guess it’s a negative test IMO.
Sending so much loveHi ladies. I am fairly certain this pregnancy will not be progressing and I will be back with you all shortly, I just wanted to update you all.
I wrote last week that my tests weren’t getting darker and my CB digi was also stying in 1-2 weeks. I’m sad to say that my tests have still not darkened and this morning are nearly negative with very faint lines. CB digi has now said 1-2 weeks for 10 days. I know people say not to look at test darkness but for my tests to have been dark and now be coming back almost negative at 19dpo with multiple brands, it’s not looking good.
My symptoms have faded from last week - I know that means nothing but coupled with the tests, I am feeling fairly certain this will not result in a successful pregnancy.
I am obviously devastated and have spent the whole morning since testing just inconsolable. I never allowed myself to feel too happy as I was sure something was wrong, and I guess I was right. My husband has been so happy though and he is just crushed so I just feel incredibly guilty for his sadness, even though I know there’s nothing I could have done.
I am basically just waiting for the physical symptoms to start, which I’m pretty terrified about to be honest. I’m only 4+5 going by ovulation (or 6+2 from LMP) so I’m hoping it won’t be too physically painful. I have not gone through a loss before so I don’t know what to expect. This would have been our first baby.
I am rambling and I’m sorry for offloading here, but I didn’t tell anyone about the pregnancy and have no one to speak with about it, just feel like l can’t move forward at the moment.
i understand how upsetting that must be to hear. it took me a long time to appreciate that not all of my friends are at the same place in life as me and therefore are making very different choices when it comes to children.Friend called me last week to tell me she had had an abortion after unprotected sex - she doesn’t know I’m TTC but can’t help but feel angry even though I’m trying to be supportive to her![]()
Thank you grumpycatalso remember that your levels double every few days so taking tests isn’t always an indicator. The clear blue ones are notorious for not changing (if you read mumsnet ever it will tell you how many people have the same things!) and they’re so finicky on the levels. You could be just under the cusp for it to tick over or your own personal hormone level might not read what it wants (but remember, whatever is normal for you, is the most important)
These first few weeks are so nervy - but take a breath - you are pregnant right now, and you have to try and trust in your body to do what it needs to do. You got this!
thisUntil you TTC and until you struggle with it, I don't think anyone can understand the emotional roller-coaster it is. I actually find it all exhausting.
Definitely ask to change doctors, there is such a thing as lean PCOS where weight isn’t an issue! GPs can get a bad name when it comes to taking things like PCOS seriously and this is why. I went private with a gynaecologist to get a diagnosis which was covered under my health insurance.Hi all, normally a stalker and now a poster. I’ve been off the pill since November / December 2020. Sporadic periods. Drs have done tests and all normal so far but one had low thyroid but then next one normal and keep saying hand on another 3 months. Is this normal? I feel like it’s not and that my concerns are being dismissed. I’m 27 and healthy enough I think. I’ve been trying to track ovulation and it’s happened a few times and others like I just gave up. I’ve also been having LOADS of hair loss and suggested maybe PCOS to the Drs but he just said you’re not the right weight for that. Okay? I’ve been thinking of asking to change drs cause I just don’t feel like anyone cares except me but dunno how to handle this on nhs
