My mother was an abuser. Never love bombed though. Always just told what a POS I am and how I ruined her life, among other things. Problem was, I didnt realize that this was not how normal mothers acted until I left the house and saw other people. My mother isolated me so I didnt have much family or outside influence to see how bad things really were.

The day she died was the day I started the healing. 3 years later and it is still hard as ever because of repressed memories, unconscious triggers and having to put my guard down and learn that I am not a horrible person and the reason for my mother's failures in life, misery and problems. I am almost 40.
