So those of you in the UK...what kind of world renowned system is this -- the RM does not operate with EMR?!?! That explains A LOT! Certainly not everything by any means, but it does clarify some things, for me anyway.

TT is well informed. She did a quick Instagram story months ago about watching a documentary on BBC or Channel 4 (sorry I’m in the U.S.) about surgeons at the Royal Marsden AND the surgery that was recommended to her.
Since it was a story, it disappeared.
I remember this. Sadly, Tiffany posted on her Instagram at the time that she had started watching the show but had to stop because it was so intense and it was making her emotional. She said that she would restart it after she was 'cancer free' because seeing all the surgeries and hearing the prognosis of the diseases was making her scared. I remember I DM'd Tiffany about it on IG because I had missed the name of the program when she mentioned it in her stories and she told me it was called 'Super Surgeons.' She literally freaks out and disassociates from anything that reminds her that she has cancer and gives facts about what to expect. She'd rather be blissfully ignorant.

Ahhhh its sad really. I didn't know that Tiffany and her family was aware of the specifics of the surgery long before the meeting.
I actually think no evidence of disease is a term that needs changing to no evidence of visual disease. There generally is always microscopic disease lurking around that is too small for the scanners to pick up. It's great that her oncologist is doing 6 weekly scans.

Anyone happen to know how much money youtubers make from youtube?

The more subscribers, the more views, more ads (I skip the ads). She earns a tidy sum. So sometimes you see she takes maybe one long video and uploads over a few videos and leave cliffhangers and tramautic looking thumbnails to encourage people to watch.

And here we have it ladies & gents. Right from the horses mouth.
Tiffany finally writes that she is looked after by a team. Her oncologist, Cancer nurse specialist and her surgeon attend the MDT meetings and collectively the multi disciplinary team make plans together.
The next time Tiffany posts a video to say she is confused, someone needs to remind her that she has direct access to her cancer nurse specialist.
yes this is something we've known for awhile. She has spoken about the team already in videos.

Who told you the royal marsden doesn't have electronic medical notes? Paper notes got phased out years ago. Of course the UK has electronic medical reports.

Thankyou for explaining this to me. I really had no idea how the income works from vlogging. Now I understand why Tiffany constantly says she will keep her 'family' updated in the next video.

Wow. I never realised Tiffany was making so much money from youtube? No wonder she has no interest in returning back to work.
I have often wondered why when Tiffany says she advises people to "love life" "live life" and be thankful etc, why she doesn't put her words into actions. She seems to spend all her time lounging around the house in her "cosy" pyjamas.
Now I have seen how much Tiffany is making from youtube, I completely understand why she spends her life video recording for the sake of it.

Cachexia doesnt show up all of a sudden. Ive seen older videos of hers. She!s definitely thinner now. She has trouble keeping food down, is in constant pain and on morphine. She may not be end stage but shes approaching it I think. Ive seen it with my mom. The decline was at first gradual, then swift. Same type of cancer.
IF tiffany was
Hi everyone,
I've been following Ts story since the summer after I saw her and her mum filming at the Marsden when I was there for an appointment myself. I clocked the t shirts and guessed it was for a YouTube video so did some searching when I got home.
The video she was recording was published on her channel exactly a week after I saw her filming (I know that as I spotted myself in her video!)
What has angered me in recent months is the insinuating of bad practice against the hospital. I have had incredible care from every single person during my treatment, at both the Sutton and Chelsea sites. I have never left an appointment confused or without full knowledge of my current situation and I can't understand how Ts treatment 'seems' to be so very different.
The Marsdens success rate in treatment is significantly above that of other cancer centres in the country and it makes me mad that she is giving the impression to thousands online that they are incompetent at best and downright negligible at worst.
By the way, expect a moan at her next Sutton Marsden visit as when I went there today they have finally introduced the parking charges that they were going to implement back in August but didn't.
I dont begrudge the charges, they are not excessive and a small price to pay for first class care, plus there are 2 buses that go into the hospital grounds and a train station not far so other options available, In fact I got the bus to my chemo appointments each week!
Hey hello :)
Can I ask? Was you a bit miffed spotting yourself on her video? I would be miffed if I was attending a medical consult and another patient was recording and I was in the recording.
Do you think the hospital staff are aware that Tiffany records everything and posts the majority of it to youtube?
Yes you are right. It angers me too when I see non UK members really angry at the NHS staff. I have always found the staff to be lovely, especially oncology staff.
I hope that your treatment went well for you.

Apparently, she’ll be seeing her specialist team this Friday to discuss the scan results and treatment plans moving forward. If her case is savable/operable, shouldn’t they be rushing this meeting, instead of waiting till end of this week? Also, from the beginning she said that no other surgeons wanted to operate on her except this Surgeon. That says a lot about her cancer. Why won’t the others operate? I think her case is realistically beyond operable and only this Surgeon felt he could try. Not sure what to conclude but I think when nobody else would do the surgery, it must be real, real bad already. And it hasn’t improved since chemo and she’s addicted to morphine. Regardless, it is a scary situation for her now, even if Dr S is still up to operating on her.

Not only does she have access to her CNS but she has had 24hr access to the Royal Marsden Macmillan hotline since her diagnosis. Patients are encouraged to call whenever they feel ill or have questions or concerns. All the nurses who man the phone line have access to all the medical notes and are in contact with doctors. They also pass the call details onto your team who will then follow up with you if required.
Not once have I seen that Tiffany has made use if this service, instead she chooses to report to the world that she has many unanswered questions.
Wow. I didn’t see this yesterday. These are wonderful resources for patients.

Now she says her appointment is at the end of the week so hopefully she can update us soon:

I wonder if she is just waiting to get the results until her appointment with her precious surgeon so they can cuddle while he's telling her🙄 I'm sure she could probably call and get them if she wanted to way before the end of this week. That is if she doesn't already know and just lying to everyone.

I do think she is afraid of the PE surgery, and prefers to block out.

As far as full or posterior PE, she said the surgery would be 12 hours long... So this very likely includes some reconstruction work. Like an Indiana pouch for internal.urine collection? Or other things mentioned.

67% of PE patients in one study (at Mayo) had some type of complication. It's a long recovery. She really can't be all weak and floppy about this.

I just seen the comment left in real time on YouTube where she says she still doesn’t have results and her appointment is on Friday.
Is it realistic that she waits over 2 weeks to get results from the scans?
Why would you not be phoning over and over to get them quicker?
Is the appointment on Friday a lie to go in line with her YouTube schedule?
I don’t care if she isn’t uploading in real time but do you think this is the honest position?
I think she is waiting until she can go see her surgeon on Friday to get the results from him instead of calling and getting them sooner. I may be wrong but there is no way it takes 2 weeks for scan results. With the unhealthy obsession she has with him, I feel like that is the reason for the wait. Maybe so they can cuddle after he gives her the bad news?

No it doesn't happen.
Tiffany will have been visited in the recovery room before being taken to the ward. There someone will have told her what happened in theatre. Tiffany did say that she felt groggy and couldn't remember much. Thats fair enough, most patients don't remember much in the recovery area.
Morphine pump was arranged due to the pain Tiffany had after her last biopsy. Emergency hospital vists are costly to the NHS and if they can be avoided, plans will be put in place. Admitting her this time and offering a morphine pump prevents post A&E visits.
Oramorphe on discharge is absolutely normal after having been on Morphine pump. I personally could not understand them giving her antisickness during the night though, most doctors would discontinue the morphine pump because thats what causes nausea & sickness.

Before discharging a patient a plan needs to be put in place. Tiffany will have been visited by a consultant and he/she will have explained the planned procedure and what happened. Tiffany will have also been told what happens next and told who to contact, if she has any issues. You are right, they can't and don't just discharge patients without informing them. I saw posts 10 hours from Tiffany saying she is crying, scared and needs to get a biopsy.
It's cruel that she leads people on who truely care about her. They are there thinking Tiffany is a young vulnerable little girl who is on palliative care and the truth is being hidden from her. Telling her she might have a blockage and the cancer might have spread so much its caused a blockage? If Tiffany had a bowel blockage, she wouldn't have been discharged home! My friend had a blockage which burst, causing sepsis. One operation later and she was out of hospital fitted with a stoma bag.

Thats the maggies centre that I mentioned :) True diamonds.
This exactly. Robust discharge plan Was made.

MRI results are available immediately but they need to be looked over by a radiologist and a report written before they can be considered "done". So the delays for results is due to human staffing and urgency. In most private care settings, you can get your results hours after the MRI is done if your oncologist arranges for the radiologist to interpret the results asap. In typical hospitals they say 1-2 weeks which is entirely dependent on how long the radiologist's backlog is.

What I don't understand is that IF her surgeon genuinely cared about her so much and was also concerned about the mess of a treatment protocol (full anesthesia plus days of recovery on unlimited morphine for absolute nothing? How much is that bed costing the NHS? Why is he telling her not to go private?) then he can easily fast track her case. He just needs to call up the radiologist who he is 100% friends with to take a look at her file. There is a strict hierarchy at hospitals and a surgeon of his status is basically like a god or celebrity. He can get any department to produce anything he wants, but for some reason he's choosing not to.

Under this recent video I was surprised to see comments actually calling Tiffany out for creating so much confusion. Maybe she hasn't had time to delete them yet, but the ones I've seen seem absolutely fed up with the nonsense-some are blaming the surgeon unfortunately, but I've seen many others expressing annoyance with Tiffany for not advocating for herself and always acting bewildered after every trip to the hospital. The whole video was all over the place. I don't think I've seen her this erratic before. It's clear that Amma and Matt enable her because she acts like a child at times. I have trouble remembering that she's 30 years old

I really don't think it's the top surgeon at the world-renowned hospital who is pissing around here. Because he would have been struck off by now.

You can’t seriously think the surgeon is at fault here?!

I am honestly baffled by the number of you on here that are just blindly swallowing everything Tiffany us telling you. Can we all get a grip here.
