this will be the logic they use to convince themselves that they don't spoil the kids. sure, they spend thousabdns on holidays and toys and souviners when they're they - but in terms of food, the kids are only "treated" to adequate portions on their birthday and at Christmas, so they definitely aren't spoiled!

It is ridiculous that people have children without knowing pediatric first aid and children's CPR. There were some Mum's on This Morning a few years ago saying how they were glad the show did a topic on what to do if a baby or child choked as it saved their children's lives after. All I could think was, why would someone have a child not knowing what to do in that situation? What would have happened if they hadn't of watched the show that day would they have been completely clueless? Also, does Sue not realise how awful it would be if one of her children choked and she couldn't help them?I thought she was going to say thank god Katie was the only one who knew the Heimlich manoeuvre but it was the thumping her on the back. But it reads like Sue’s glad she knows what to do now in case any of the children choke - you mean she didn’t know before? 21 kids and she doesn’t know basic first aid?
