Shingles is a reactivation of the Chicken pox virus and is actually worse. It is the same virus but a different illness.
Yes but you don't catch it. You can catch chicken pox from shingles. The virus reactivates usually when the immune system is low but that isn't linked to if you have been exposed to chicken pox at that time. It can happen at anytime.

Just in case anyone needed a reminder about how CRAZYILY cleeeean Chris is with his OCD.
I love the way that Lazy was trying to illustrate how small the chocolate bar was by comparing it to her big bockwurst fingers!!! 🤭

Poor Mila though, rubbing that biscuit topping into her eyes....and Lazy just filming her doing it. 🤬

My point is with their lifestyle and Sarah in particular having constant cold sores there is a real possibility they could contract shingles. Either way I would not want to be stuck in that van.

WORST NIGHTMARE CAME TRUE.. 7 IN A VAN CHICKEN POX OUTBREAK! WILD ATLANTIC WAY | VAN LIFE IRELAND

Chicken Pox or a flea outbreak due to their terrible hygiene? Maybe Creepy brought them back from whichever Ibis he's been at shagging some vulnerable young woman.

Lazy starts the vlog. The chuldren often get Easter eggs on Easter Sunday but this year Isla got more than she bargained for. Lazy laughs at her least favourite child. This trip has tested them and it's like it wasn't meant to happen. Despite having the most amazing time, there's been curveballs. Creepy is changing Mila so she's crying in the background. They had to cancel the first ferry due to Jace being sick so he could sleep in his bed for his comfort. Two or three days into the trip Isabelle and Isla weren't feeling great so they took a day off vlogging and checked into a hotel. The girls felt great the next day. Yesterday Lazy noticed Isla was quiet but she said she felt fine. Isla didn't want to run up the mountain. She woke up with two or three bites on her tummy yesterday and Lazy thought they were midge bites. This morning Isla has woken up with chicken pox. This is possibly the worst timing because they're in the van. Isla says she's feeling fine. They're meant to be meeting friends they haven't seen for a couple of years at the end of this trip and they were excited to end the trip that day. Lazy doesn't know if their chuldren have had chicken pox. Mila is also in a full body cast and Lazy cannot imagine what it will be like if she gets it. Lazy hopes to pass on her antibodies in her breastmilk. Isabelle and Esme had chicken pox when Lazy was pregnant with Isla. Isla's friends had chicken pox when she was 18 months old Lazy exposed her to it purposely to get it out of the way. She had to wait until they were 10 and on a van trip.

Time lapse of vintage cars passing the van. The Inghams have been parked here all night without any vehicles and suddenly 100 old fashioned cars drove past. Shot of the sea and village. It's Creepy's favourite park up of the trip. They were going to explore the Aran islands but aren't anymore. They're rejigging their plans to the millions of other things to see. Creepy woke up at 8am and there was a storm over the ocean with the sun in the corner. The van drives off. Lazy voiceover "We set off on the short drive to Doolin Caves. It wasn't long until our eyes set upon landscape too beautiful to ignore." Drone shots. "With Mila fast asleep I stayed back and watched from the van as Chris, Jace and the girls headed off to explore."

A few spanners have been thrown in the works. They were supposed to get on a ferry to the Aran Islands today but they didn't think it would be right to do that with Isla. They cancelled it and headed to the Doolin Caves. Lazy didn't research it and expected it to be something you saw from clifftops but no, it's a visitor centre with guided tours taking you 800 metres into the cave. They can't do that either and everyone decided they didn't want to do it without Isla. Lazy looks far from happy to have had her plans ruined, as if Isla asked to get chicken pox. They're at Doolin Pier which looks epic according to a clearly pissed off Lazy. There's a waterfall coming down a cliff.

The Inghams are having a snack before getting out of the van and Mila is having a biscuit. Creepy keeps stroking her head and kissing her with mouthfuls of chocolate. Drone shots. Back in the van, Lazy tells Creepy he's a geek and says they told him not to send the drone up as it's too windy. Lazy found some Boost chocolate bars in the supermarket. She bought a multipack and now they're now smaller than her sausage finger. Creepy says Doolin is beautiful and the village is worth a stop on your way through for it's charmingness and beautifulness. The houses look sweet. They're driving to the cliffs of Moher "mow-her" later today to catch the sunset. Creepy is sure he can see them from there. Driving footage.

Voiceover from Lazy, which sounds really echoey so I guess they're home "Doonagore Castle is a round 16th century tower house with a small walled enclosure located 1 kilometre south of the coastal village of Doolin in County Clare. This castle was incredibly beautiful, standing tall on the hor-ruh-zon overlooking the bay." They have to queue to get into the car park for the Cliffs of Moher and you have to pay. Chuldren under 12 are free and there is a discount for senior so with any luck they'll get a discount for Creepy. Isabelle is patronising Lazy by saying she is so cute. She tells her to get off her back. They're off for a hike to the top of a cliff, which they had to pay £40 for so it better be good.

Creepy, Jace and the girls have gone inside whilst Lazy and Isla stay outside. They're about to hike to the top of the cliff. Isla feels fine and says the spots are only on her torso. Footage of the museum/visitor's centre. Jace screeches about a picture of sharks aka mackerel. Shots of the cliffs. It's insanely windy so they're taking shelter behind O'Brien's Tower. The Aran Islands are just over the way, there was a 40% chance of rain and the clouds are moving in. It's a race against time to get back to the van before they get leathered. Creepy says Isabelle will be the first person crying when it hits them. Driving footage.

The Inghams are back in the van. You pay £10 for people 12 and over. There's a small exhibition centre, four shops with two of them closed, a small café and the cliff top. Lazy is glad they did it but isn't sure it was worth 40€. 4km down the road is another car park that is 3€ and you can walk back. They tried to find somewhere to fly the drone but weren't allowed. They then decided to drive whilst Jace and Mila were asleep. They drove for an hour 1/2-2 hours to Kilrush. Lazy is running over for fish and chips to eat in the van or on the seafront. Drone shots. Driving footage. Creepy pulls the curtains.

Everyone is getting ready for bed so Creepy has come outside to end the vlog. It's so pretty but Creepy has no ide where they are. He goes back to ask Babe the name of the place they're in. They're in Kilkee. Everyone is in bed. They just went on a mission because they drove to a lighthouse but couldn't stay there as there was no phone signal. They were on a skinny peninsula but Creepy needed signal to download new music. Around the corner was another spot that Park for the Night said had phone signal but it turned out it didn't do they're back in Kilkee. They're on a Park for the Night spot in a car park in the middle of the beach. The waves are rough but it's stooonin. They have a crazy itinerary for tomorrow and great weather for the rest of the trip. They'll be posting previews on Instagram because they're behind.

End of vlog

Looks like those two minutes of entertaining Jace was exhausting. Time for a nap

Aw poor Lazy's day has been ruined because Isla is ill. Let me fetch my violin... I can't begin to imagine how much of a witch she'll be to Mila if she needs more hip surgery in her childhood and 'ruins' plans then,

I had 3 spots when I had chicken pox. It was only because a teacher noticed them when I got changed for PE that I was sent home (my mum hadnt noticed them!) Then 2 weeks later my brother got it and again he only had around 5 spots.

Yet my friend had them everywhere, in her eyes, in her mouth ect.

I wonder if they did a test like the old BCG 6 needle test it would come up with different immunity for everyone.

I don’t watch the vlogs, but going by the comments here, it sounds like Chris is being more obnoxious than usual with his rude comments here and there…..rattled? 😂

Whilst Covid is just hype, chicken pox is 'just spots' in their minds.
Lazy, I hope to god you're not pregnant!

yes- it's the same virus... it can affect
people who have had chicken pox but ho onto have a weakened immunity- whether due to age, Medical conditions, or immune suppressant treatment...

But they are linked and someone with chicken pox can pass it on to someone and lead to them having shingles.
You can’t, I always thought you could but a little research shows you can’t

I agree. I don't think that Isla should've gone to that tower....isn't there an enclosed space where the staircase is? Even outdoors isn't great when chickenpox can be transmitted via a cough or sneeze. There were clearly other people around. Creepy filmed a woman right next to them...hope she's not immunocompromised.

When my eldest had Chicken pox I knew something was up before the spots came out. I thought I’d get a call from preschool saying he’d been sick or something because he was off but I couldn’t put my finger on it. My friend’s little boy was the same and they both came out in spots on the same day. Once the spots were out, my son perked up.

My youngest , however, was really poorly. He was only 14 months, and was covered, but he had a cough that sounded horrible. He’d not long come out of hospital with pneumonia so I rang the doctor all blasé saying “I know you can’t do anything for chicken pox but he has this cough...” The doctor said to come straight in because apparently a complication of Chicken pox in some people is pneumonia. I had no idea about that. We were lucky to keep our son out of hospital, and he ended up with spots on top of spots. It was awful for him.

So many people don’t take common childhood illnesses seriously, but they absolutely should. And there’s no excuse anymore, especially with everything being Googleable.

Insane and epic are all you hear from their mouths. Seriously do they know any more adjectives, they are so banal and dim.

Today, Sarah is still having problems pronouncing the most simplest of words and places.

Also, the tight-fisted cow is moaning about the prices to see a cliff and the size of a choc bar out of a multi-pack.

And when did not being able to get out the drone to film stop Chris from doing it anyway?

Not watched the vlog. Disgusting that they’ve allowed her out and about if it was pox even if outdoors, they should have made the journey home immediately rather than continued. no wonder Isla has been out of the vlogs last couple of days, and made perfect sense for such a delay 😡 My son would need to be hospitalised if he came out with them as he is immunocompromised and whilst he has had them before, there is more risk of getting them again due to low immunity. I’d be fuming if anyone knowingly let their kids continue to socialise in public!

Mine had them 2 weeks apart, with Mila due for her cast removal as well, if she shows signs she should not be entering that hospital but at the same time it would be horrible for her because she won’t be able to get relief in the areas that are covered :(
