My dad used to wear a really short dressing gown and be always bending over to look for the tv remote or whatever 😳
Omg this reminded me... when I first started dating my husband he took me to meet his parents, we were 16 at the time. They obviously were not expecting me. His dad was wearing the shortest denim shorts I've ever seen (husband later told me he made them himself out of old jeans 🤮 anyway..). He tapped the sofa for me to sit next to him, his bleeping balls were hanging out the bottom of the shorts 🤮🤮🤮🤮

I had tucked that memory deep away. I've scarred myself all over again 😭🤣🤮

I remember getting the bus to college one day and this old guy was sat opposite wearing short shorts and his ball was hanging out, I couldn’t stop staring. How do you not know? I can still see it now lol

I dated a guy once who would sweat so much when we were doing the deed like would actually drip onto me and I just couldn’t do it anymore. He was also really clingy and was talking about us moving in together after a couple of months. Serious ick.

Reminds me of my first ever boyfriend...he was allergic/sensitive to fish but his mum used to make him eat it. The fish smell would seep out of his pores  nice guy though...

Have always had mixed emotions about these scenarios.

Quite often when I'm having sex with a girlfriend during hot/humid summer months we would work out way into an energetic frenzy that would often end up with both of us perspiring to the point where our bellies would "stick" together, and our faces would also be "glowing"

Of course during those "hectic" moments I never really concerned myself with such things, but afterwards it felt decidedly "icky"

Oh definitely! I mean I think you should be a bit sticky but I’ve never actually been dripped onto like a leaky tap and I just couldn’t get past it 😅

Good point. I don't think we've ever dripped on each other, at least not in the same "leaky tap" frequency anyway

Part 2 of my ickes, just incase people were interested, lol...

1) When a man walks around the house in ankle socks - criminal offence .

2) Men who wear bike helmets. I know safety is paramount but can we just not for the sake of my mental wellbeing??? Thanks.

3) When men clap out of excitement - I'll leave it at that.

This is difficult to describe but I will have a go anyway. When man tries to be assertive in a customer service environment but it doesn't work or it is not something that can't be accommodated. Eg. I went on a date with a guy and we queued up to get some food. They had some ready made but he asked for a fresh batch. The place was rammed and they said the next fresh batch would be when the ready made food was running low. After much back and forth, and the guy trying to put his foot down, they told us they could do it if we waited a good 10 mins (massive queue behind us). He looked at the queue and my face and gave up. The attempt at trying to be demanding and all the debating back and forth made me feel

Related to that, has anyone seen the episode of Friends when Chandler can't tip?! Anything like that gives me the ick.

I still see the occasional bio that unironically uses the phrase, "I work hard so I play hard."

Christ! It's such a dated, 80's yuppy cliché. I can only picture him swanning around with a filofax and a mobile the size of a brick like Del Boy.

With the 'play hard' part involving casinos, escort girls and lots of cocaine!

This is more of a Tinder ick, but when a guy constantly reappears when I’m swiping 🤢 I don’t know why it just really puts me off.

I also have some conversation icks (dating and friendship!):
1. When they start speaking over me or cut me off even though I haven’t finished what I was saying
2. When talking about an issue/arguing and they start raising their voice and repeating themselves louder and louder
3. When they bring back the conversation to themselves every - single - time. For example if I talk about something that I did or happened to me, and they turn it around to talk about themselves
4. When it’s always a competition, can’t say anything without them having to “compete” and “win”
5. When they disagree with me, on a subject I know well, and they don’t - makes me rage. Had a “friend” who started dissing a book that he hasn’t read, and I have, and when I explained to him what it was about - he disagreed with me on it, like ??? Excuse me, you haven’t read it, so how do you have an opinion on it 🥴
6. Closed mindedness/stubbornness - when someone expects you to accept their views/opinions but they won’t accept yours 🤢

There's a few guys in my area who do this, it's so annoying! It makes me irrationally irritated whenever I see them. I know a lot of them constantly delete and remake their profiles because I've blocked some and yet they still reappear. The desperation

I used to see a man on my train to work every morning with the most God awful beard I’ve ever seen.

It was REALLY thick and the hairs were poker straight and very coarse looking, like a sweeping brush. The whole thing gave his head the illusion of being drastically thinner at the top than it was at the bottom like a butternut squash.

I often think back to him and wonder if anyone has finally told him that he needs to either get rid of it altogether or go to a barber to have it shaped properly 🤔 I came close to telling him myself once or twice.
