Very well put. The biggest issue I have is that she seems annoyed at the fact that she provides her content “for free”.
Exactly. If you are so resentful of it then don't bloody bother? And as has been raised by someone else further back (sorry I can't be bothered scrolling to find the exact comment to quote - you know who you are!) there's only been 3 or so 'free' blog posts this year. Ok I get it being on maternity leave slows this, but they weren't exactly being churned out at lightening speed before either? At the risk of giving away a bit of personal info my job involves contributing to or writing single-handedly a weekly article, and on top of that a longer-form piece once a month, and then a bigger report-length piece every quarter. And I manage that just fine. Like Alex has chosen to be a content creator, I have chosen to do a job that involves a lot of research and writing, so even if I can't be bothered I just get on with it, I don't get the begging bowl out. If she has lost her passion for content creation maybe it isn't the right line of work for her anymore, and that's ok!

Didn’t take long to fill the garden with crap. Never gives a thought to practicality or comfort. The table is obviously the indoor one she was painting last week. An uncomfortable looking chair and bench. Plus two iron garden chairs which certainly don’t look comfortable for relaxing. Think I’ve spotted two side tables so far.

Plus several new outdoor children’s toys which is funny when we’ll get a lecture at Christmas that she will only be buying one gift for her children.

Funny too that she says she didn’t know until now what to do with a garden - her parents have a large garden which she held her wedding reception in.

Remember when her daughter used to drape cloth over her head and pretend she had long hair like the girl movie characters? I thought for sure she would have grown it long by now. Instead it looks like someone was busy with the scissors.

To be fair it was a tiny trampoline, I’ve got one the same size and it was less than £100. I’m sure the garden will end up filled with a bigger one eventually though!

Uggggh. I’m sorry, but bragging about a $1.50 veggie box when you’ve just bought $155 sandals is pretty gross #povertyporn

Perhaps leave them for people really in dire straits or buy a couple extra and donate

I have a duvet cover that matches her baggy gingham dress. I dislike those pricey sandals.

Plus begging for donation when you’ve just bought $155 sandals is pretty gross. She is officially worse than Lily Pebbles

I couldn’t edit, but wanted to ETA - I know it’s a free market and she can buy what she wants, the veggies will go to waster otherwise blah, blah, blah.

I guess the argument is there that because she buys $1.50 veggie boxes she can afford to buy $155 sandals, but I think it’s the other way around. She has to buy $1.50 veggie boxes because she can’t help herself buying $155 sandals!

Also what happened to the oddbox she was peddling not long ago, guess that freebie has stopped as there’s no way those two are getting through 2 veg boxes a week

It’s getting ridiculous, for months Alex was selling us Oddbox’s fruit/veg boxes, starting price around £10 and preaching about the ethics of it being grown in the UK and being saved from waste. Last week it was very overpriced frozen veg cubes for toddlers. Today it is the £1.50 box of fruit and veg box from Lidl. Last week it was begging for ’coffee’ donations and buying expensive sandals. Not so long ago, if I remember correctly, she was talking about donating to a food bank or similar - imagine someone reading her post today who would feel they were thrown a life-line if they could buy that £1.50 box.

No consistency, thought, focus or direction.

I think it’s to do with the fact all babies look the same. They don’t really start to look different until they are older. Lots of instahuns share baby pics and stop after a certain while

Child flogging has become passé now they’ve stopped giving out free kitchens and wood floors ala the hoppers

If she doesn’t want to show Peggy then just don’t show her altogether, is not like Peggy is part of a group picture and she had to cover her face. She is alone in the picture. Doesn’t make sense but then is Alex!

I’d have so much more respect if she left the very limited number of £1.50 Veg Box for people that need rather than buying to perform for us. What a confused existence.

Agreed completely. We’re in a recession with higher than normal unemployment, considering the prevalence that’s had in the news (and how in London its disproportionately affecting young black ppl) you’d think she’d have the common sense to leave it for a family that may need it.

Feel the same way about Jack Monroe boasting about her yellow sticker hauls. Fab but maybe leave it for someone without Del Monte & Unilever corporate sponsorships?
